  1. I sprayed carb cleaner and nothing happened so that is a god thing. Did a compression check and the left was about 110 and the right was about 100. I did notice when i put the cool head on that there was some carbon build up. Is there a way to clean this with out taking the head off?
  2. Did a smoke test around the intakes and didnt notice anything. Is there an easy way to check all the intake boots without having to remove everything? Also I talked to Alba here in town and they said I might have slipped my woodruff key any body know anything about that and how do I check it. Also i dont know S**t about carbs so how do I adjust and how can I tell if my jetting is good.
  3. My 99 banshee is still overheating what do I do? I just put a new clutch in it and a new pro series cool head with 22 domes so I am not running anything to crazy. Also while i was seeing if it was going to over heat the engine locked up and wouldnt shut down. I hit the kill switch turned off the key and even puled the spark plug wires. I finally had to jump on ti and pop it into gear to kill it. Why is my banshee still over heating and how can I fix it. Thanks
  4. Thanks for the help and suggestions I will check all the fittings for cracks and see about doing a chop. As far as the clutch I had it changed and almost every fiber pad was wasted and a lot of the friction disc were burnt. Maybe between that and a little more inspection time I can find the prob.
  5. Can I run led's off my stator. I am trying to cheap out and not by a trail tech kit so I was wondering if I could run an LED bar.
  6. The only reason I believe it is the clutch because that is what tha Climbers Manual said. I drained and flushed the radiator and I visually checked the impeller. I just looked at the veins while I cranked over the motor (with the crank of course). After reading into some of the other topics I think I might be running lean. If so can anyone give me some good signs and how do I correct. I am trying to do a desert trip on the 16th so I would finally like to go out there with some piece of mind. As for as engine mods go I could be wrong but the guy I bought it from said it was bored over and other than that it has a K&N filter and an after market breather box. It has FMF gold series and an FMF, forgive me if I am calling this the wrong thing, boost bottle (the canister on top of the carbs). Thanks for the help however I already had a new clutch put in, well at least I know that wont be the problem. Thanks Again
  7. I have a 99 banshee, I ride out at glamis and it has been boiling off coolant. I removed the radiator and made sure it was free flowing, I made sure the pump is good (not missing veins, and is turning). I rode a different banshee and noticed it had a little more torque. Does this mean my clutch is slipping? I hope so because I am having a new one put in as I post this. What else could it be? Please help
