  6. also have a shaved stock head i can throw in with this setup.
  7. still for sale, carbs/filters/outerwears and stock intakes if you need them, 260 shipped.
  8. for the cylinders/pistons/crank that is, coolhead sold and shipped yesterday.
  9. 580 shipped with gifted paypal, you wont be dissapointed with how these cylinders run.
  10. rather not seperate just yet, unless i can get both spoken for, as they're a perfect match to these carbs.
  11. I have a good set of stock intakes if needed
  12. pm returned, coolhead sold. $600 for cylinders/pistons/crank
  13. Cylinders are Dune Ported by Herr Juggs racing. Noss coolhead with 21 CC domes for running pump gas. Hot Rods stock stroke long rod(115mm) crank, that was also trued and welded by HJR, Wiseco 795 series pistons that are made for the long rod setup. Cylinders were bored to 64.50 with new pistons and the crank was welded. Top end has 32 hours on it from fresh, you can still see crosshatch in the cylinders, however there is one vertical scratch that is very small above exhaust port that you can barely snag with a nail, it never effected compression or how it ran. This motor ran awesome and was right at 130 psi in both cylinders when torn down. Comes with everything in the picture(no coolhead orings or nuts). $700 shipped. for more info or more pics text 858-848-4621 -Aaron
  14. 28mm PWK carbs, not knock offs. Decent set of carbs, ran great with my hjr dune ported topend. Filters are in pretty good shape, no holes and are real K&N filters not knock offs, ran one season. Outerwears are definetly runnable but one has a burn from last trip(pictured) and the elastic on one is loose so not perfect. Comes with N68A needles, JJH needles, LGN needles. 45 pilots and 140 mains. $300 shipped either gift or you pay paypal fee's. 858-848-4621 for a quicker response or questions.
  15. I'm gonna go ahead and put this out there since my thread was linked. I was trying to collect all the info along the way if anyone ever needed help. But as of now, with both jjh and n68a needles I could never make the 28s work right, it was always way rich right before the powerband causing a bog until I dropped down to a 152 main, at which point I was to lean. So I can only assume I needed a retarded lean needle taper, but my seasons over and I'm gonna just get some 35's instead of chasing needles. I'm actually interested how yours does so update this please. For reference I was at sea level, with pods, cpi's, 150 comp., .056 squish and a drag ported cub. Hopefully you have better luck than I did. Novel over
  16. Ya, ill pull the head and snap pics of the domes, never seen any like them
  17. Forgot to add 2 runs down the drags would put me over 200 degrees, even jetted rich, it just isn't normal, used to hotlap my hjr dune port stock cyl and never even see 190.
  18. I had 2 more trips to finish the season so I was trying to make it work. I'm running a mint set of sb/sf CPI's now, I got them first cause that's what the sponsor told me would compliment the porting. I started at 170 mains last trip and worked my way down to 155's. With 170's it wouldn't even rev out..just run almost up to powerband and bog indefinitely. I'll be getting carbs when I get more money, guess ill just wait, maybe ask Jim his opinion on the heat.
  19. so went out and wasted another weekend not being able to get the bog out of this motor right before powerband unless i leaned the main way out(152's) and it was pretty much gone, but you could tell the topend was to lean, and backed a plug out. So on to the problem, this thing runs hot, it's got a new 40mm aluminum radiator, good impeller, engine ice, cpi pipes now and still stuck with the small 28 pwk's. 10 minutes of riding im pushing 200-218 degrees. This is moving quite a bit of air across the radiator 35+ miles an hour average, the grill is almost non-existant since i trimmed it out. Do drag ports just run hot? cubs are supposed to run cooler than stockers, and it's running quite a bit hotter then it used to with just a ported motor. This is with custom cut domes made for this motor, loose squish(.056) and running on a 50/50 mix of pump/vp110. It was hot out, at 90 degrees, but it got hot at night even in 60 degree weather. Just kinda at the end of my rope, obviously carbs are next(not going to bother buying more needles with a leaner taper for these tiny carbs), but i cant imagine it's going to help with the heat issue whatsoever. Any input on drag ported cubs is welcome. The domes have 4 angles in them, and were supposed to help push the heat out of the motor.
  20. set of pipes id say is you're next buy if possible.
  21. guess it wanted 152 mains, seems lean on a drag ported cub but it's the only thing that's cleaned up the stumble, tried 45 pilots, the 48's were spot on. Tried every needle position on both n68a and the new jjh needles. So i guess this is just the motor telling me what it wants? tiny carbs apparently suck alot of fuel through the jets. well see how it goes this weekend, just dont wanna melt a motor down.
  22. Just put CPI inframes on today, got jjh needles in it, hopefully it helps with the stumble before powerband. I'll find out thurs hopefully, got a desert trip Friday, don't wanna spend all weekend messing with it.
