  1. so i picked one of these stators up, appears to be pretty well built. It's on, ill post some pics later, gonna take it out to glamis for new years and beat on it and ill report back. Hope all goes well, fired up first kick after i put it in.(stock stator died).
  2. So my question is, would everyone that tried one recommend them without a doubt? Do these come with the lifetime warrenty claimed on one of the uk ebay pages, or is that only them offering that. Need a new stator that's built to last, thanks in advance.
  3. A side note about installing the yfz shocks, jack up the front end, bolt the bottom up, and if you have non-stock a arms, run a ratchet strap across the bottom at a criss cross if that makes sense(so it doesn't slip), then loop it over the top of the shock between the eyelet and the resivoir, and click it down to exactly where you need it. Only reason i say this is it's predictable and easy. Good luck.
  4. If you have an extra CDI, swap it out. At least check the spark on both sides, and make sure it keeps sparking for 5 kicks on both sides. Mine used to do the exact same thing with weather changes, and all kinds of crap. Id pull it off the truck out in the desert, it would start right up, then after it was warm it wouldnt start without pulling it. It was really random. Replaced the cdi and it started 1st or 2nd kick everytime since. just my 2c. edit: i did take it to alba in the middle of all this, so they could charge me 100 bucks to change the spark plug caps, bastards robbed me.
  5. Just an fyi, not running the resistor plug can make the unit reset repeatedly from radio interference, making it basically unuseable. The vapor's a pretty cool item to have, minus the tach not being spot on.
  6. The first set of haulers i got were on 10 inch rims, i bent the foot bad on the harbor freight tire changer i ended up getting, both beads were impossible even with loads up soap. I did end up getting them both off. Then today i had a leak in one of my skat trak edge paddles, i throw it up there on the tire changer and within 5 mins both beads were broken and the tire was off.. I have a feeling different tires and rims may influence how easy/hard they are to break. The door would probably work awesome on the 8 inch rims, but you coulda driven a car into the 10 inch haulers. Anyways ramble off.
  7. that sticker on the boost bottle is worth at least 5 horse.
  8. Anyone else gonna be out halloween weekend in gordons well? if so we should meet up, shoot the shit and maybe go for a ride.
  9. ya, im trying to buy one, but every harbor freight in san diego area, including the warehouse are on back order
  10. for the record, ive tried this, and it doesnt work on a beat that's been seated for some time, even with lube on the bead and stuff..

    yfz shocks

my friend has a 1987 jarm with polished yfz450 shocks on it. if that helps. The bike came with them, so i didnt see them installed but everything clears fine and im sure it's about the same mods to make it fit am A-arm frame. GL
  12. I think personally you would be the best mechanic available, once you get a manual and take the time to learn it. No one will care for your bike quite like you will. That's what i did. GL

GL edit: oh and a site sponsor for the stuff you cant do yourself or dont want to. HJR/Fast..it's a long list of awesome builders we have for sponsor's here.
  14. The 2 into 1 setup with his dune port will have insane mid pull, but the double carb setup will always beat it in a drag race. The ridability on the single carb is fun though. It all depends what you want from it.
  15. around 25 OR 27.5 pilot, needle in the middle clip and a 310 or 300 main, air screw 1.5 turns out to start, should be pretty close
  16. And no the carbs are fine size wise, i have virtually the same setup w/21cc domes(sea level) pods.
  17. What needles are you using? just for reference.
  18. The only downside to them is the price, as is everything with T.M. designworks stuff. It all seems to be good quality though.
  19. What Jbooker said x2, i run one and it's fit is unmatched. If you chain tries to spool up, nothing will break, it's super snug against the case in 3 places. They claim it can run a 16 tooth, but id only bet on a 15 since it's pretty tight with one on.
  20. Thanks zilla, guess ill stick with standerd bulbs in my trailtechs.
  21. Good question, and reviews on the led bulbs?
  22. thread reviving ftw
  23. sounds like pro tips from bansheeboys or whatever from atlanta lol
  24. Thanks for the pics and stuff guy's, it appears it should be fine to run it, they are angled filters and that's as far away as i can get them from the stingers.
  25. Atf wont foam up, there's coolant getting in there somehow. when it mixes with oil it will turn all milky and ugly.
