  1. setup is: 421 serval as cast, brand new. pump gas domes from redline cut for this setup .050 squish, 152 psi each hole cpi sb inframe pipes stock cages with boyesen reeds wicked billet intakes(sealed to death with 1211) passes leakdown 6psi for 8 mins zero loss 35mm pwk carbs 55 pilot, cel 3rd/4th clip, 175 main(float hight checked, everything inside spotless) 700 ft elev. 70-80 degrees San Diego, CA All genuine Keihin jets Now this is about as basic of serval setup as they come minus the reeds. I bought the carbs new from fast about a year ago, and from the day i got them they have wanted retarded huge jetting or bike is way to lean(ate a set of pistons to find this out). It jets out like pwk 39mm's, I've checked more than once and they are 35's. Now a bit of backstory the motor i had before this was a passion ported cub, neverending problems including the jetting being crazy. With that setup it ended up running good finally with 175 mains, dgk needles on the 5th...yes 5th clip and 55 pilots. I assumed it was something to do with the retard port job that cub came with. Well now im running basically the same setup as tons of other people, and I'm having to use Huge jets, even compared to a friend with the same identical setup minus reeds and his bike wont rev out with anything over a 155 main, and smokes like a banshee. Mine barely smokes with 175 mains, 55 pilots. I know my way around this bike pretty decent, but it makes no sense and feels like there's either something wrong with the carbs or possibly reeds. Now i suppose as long as it jets out and runs good it shouldn't matter, but it bothers me. Has anyone else ever seen anything like this? Sorry for the long winded post, and thanks in advance for any insight. -Aaron
  2. try a car battery? if it still sucks then your sol
  3. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRWqVky2C7QRBgcFkxqEJqvAGq6bGL_sc I think this was someone from bhq that posted these, it's a rough idea what it takes to build/install a banshee motor from parts. Disclaimer...i have never watched these series 1-5, but i imagine it will give you a decent rough idea on what it takes to put a motor together. A basic motor swap takes literally a few hours with a manual if you have no expierence.
  4. Are you mechanically inclined at all? listen to these guys, if you own a set of tools, and get a manual it will amaze you how easy a motor swap on a banshee is. That dealership will take you to the bank.. over and over.
  5. WCR bump LoL
  6. sunday bump
  7. a big billet button? Lol, i only ran it two trips when I got the bike then switched to twist
  8. polished cover polished billet thumb button. 50 shipped.
  9. Just get a 120 link and cut it to fit. You'll have to remove 2-3 links probably.
  10. My ASV f3's from atv galaxy came with the same little spacer as Zilla for the clutch cable adjuster. All was perfect except it was poorly machined and ended up snapping in half out in the desert. I had to make shim's out of lock washers to space it out and run the adjustment out on the perch. Still need to adjust the pancake to fix it.
  11. Hey i have a stock thumb throttle with billet top and a kinda weird billet thumb button I don't use. only downside is i dont have a cable for it, lost it years ago, it's in pretty good shape, if your interested I'll send a pic tomorrow its at my office.

  16. both work fine, but it actually only took maybe 10-12 minutes with a low grit disc, and there's quite a bit less mess.
  17. Gonna have to go with other, this guy dan down in a shack off of i 15 had magic hands.
  18. orbital palm sander with 60-80 grit discs...works amazing and takes down the waffle and everything if you have one.

  20. Or cpi..for that matter. nice mining. lol
  21. > OEM < cdi, coil and stator. or you can sub in a race tech electric stator which have been pretty solid(had it 2 seasons). Your better off with good used oem stuff than any ricky stator or other crap. my 2 cents.
