  2. Compression and piston to head clearence are 2 different things. 35 is not so bad alittle tight if u ask me but w/e. How are you testing the piston to head clearence. The only way to do it is with some soder and a micrometer
  3. squish is piston to head clearence. In my experience 40 to 50 is good anyhting higher than that the bike will be slow and any less than 40 you are running a risk

  5. I run dunlop factory banshee tires cause I drag on asphault a bit and they are great for top end but I get no traction in the trails so I am looking for a trail tire that will not kill my speed. I have ran ITP holeshots before and they totally slow down the bike big time. So basically I need a good trail tire that will still keep up most of my performance. Any suggestions?
  6. Just called pro design. 64-66mm piston will be fine for their dome. now if you are hiding the stroker in the head (no base plate) they must be machined

  8. Looking into getting a pd cool head with 19cc domes. I have a 4mill with 66mm piston, vf3 reeds, some good porting and stator plate. My question is do these domes have to be modified for a 66mm piston? I know on a stock head anytime I would bore my cyl's Id have to match the head.

  11. I just realized I also may have my slides in opposite carbs cause the idle screw does not raise the slide much. Will check when I get home.
  12. I just put together a 4mm stroker with 66mm pistons. Complete rebuild. I am running stock carbs. My issue is at idle I have more pressure coming out of the clutch side pipe compared to the flywheel side pipe (CPI inframe SB). Once the bike gets going they both have even pressure and the bike rips. I also did a compression check and both cylinders are dead even. I know the crank seals are good, so I am thinking maybe a sticky choke or carb sync? Any help would be great.
  13. There are so many rookies out there with tons of work and their banshees dont run. And then you'll see a few bolt on shee ripping bikes apart. It all depends bro. Where I ride (mostly asphault 1/4 mile) you see alittle bit of everything. I have a fairly fast shee (105) in the 1/4, and have gotten my ass handed to me but have also let people have it. My good buddy has a bone stock raptor 700 (just baffle removed) and he has let a few slowshees have it in the 1/4. He thinks he is fast, but I just tell him you are racing slow shees with terrible drivers. I also had a 660, and the diff between the 700 and 660 is very minimal. My 04 660 used to top out at 77.8 bone stock. And the 700 my buddy has tops out at almost 80. (79.5) usually. That is stock for stock, once u start modding, sky is the limit if you can afford it. In this video i just posted this is my buddys stock craptor 700 letting a slowshee with cpi's have it in the 1/4. Im the one holding teh stalker pro. Obviously that shee had major issues but hey thats not our problem. Run what u brung, but you cant generalize from that video that a 700 will beat a piped shee. It only beat that peice of shit shee

  15. Jeff does not carry the gold chain that I like and that calculator is useless to me because I have no idea what link chain was on their before. Anybody know what link chain will work for me? Like I said, I'de rather it be longer, I dont mind having to cut it
  16. I am looking to buy a new chain for a + 4 swingarm I just bought but need to know more or less what link chain to buy. I dont mind having to cut it, i just dont want to fall short.

  20. I had the same problem. I would rev it to the sky to launch in the 1/4 and the tranny got stuck in 4th and 5th. What do you guys recommend. Is it just easier to buy a complete tranny gear assembly? I tore the cases apart but nothing seems bad. I had to kinda unlock the tranyy for it to spin freely again, and now it shifts through the gears but still fells a bit ruff.
