  1. its always nice to keep some spare sprockets in your toolbox. Never know when a tooth might break off, especially if you dont know how to tighten your chain correctly... right Cam?
  2. here's mine, built it last winter
  3. i dig it! Nice build man does shee run as firey as it looks? Hey, I saw a couple of your seats on some bikes at the OK trip, you do GREAT work, I will be looking you up for one of those soon.
  4. let the games begin
  5. JD (87sheerips) runs an RDZ drag bike he has had real good luck with it. Rob is a good guy and seams to be easy to get on the phone, and he his willing to help you get the most out of your bike even after it leaves his shop. (that is all second hand info, but Rob's other customers will likely agree)
  6. Try BR8ES when you buy new ones. Check the little screw on nub that the plug wire snaps on to, sometimes those come loose and create weak spark. My bike was doing this awhile back because the nubs came unscrewed. If not then pull the plug out, ground it, and have somebody kick it over (fuel off). Compare the spark from each plug. Check your wires for any cracks, check all your connections from the ign coil. Check your stator pickup gap at both contacts. This is more likely an elec issue rather than fuel/air
  7. let me get some pics of the front sand tires to [email protected]
  8. Just trying to get you guys riled up so that there may be some good competition goin. ive been roosted before and will be again... regardless of who is fastest i am looking forward to meeting everybody and ... alot
  9. Dont worry too much man, it will just end up like the LT80 challenge did, starts with alot of shit talking and band-wagoning, but for some reason the flat-state boys dont cross the finish line
  10. I will give you 2500 cash right now (i wish there was a middle finger smiley guy)
  11. I have a +4 swingarm. Thanks for all the responses, guess i will just have to bring a stock pile of gearing and jets with me to the track this weekend. On a side note, anybody going to West Michigan Sand Drags this weekend?
  12. its 58, low end does seam alittle rich, but the plugs look about perfect.
  13. When i checked compression after the build, i was below 150psi (like 140ish if i remember right). I ran with 93 for a while because i had some mixed already and was having trouble with backing off plugs, i tried full 110, but i felt it was not what it should have been, i landed on 50/50 and it seams to be better. I tried the 1.5 out on my air screws, but it wouldn't idle for more than 15 or 20sec. I guess that should have been my first clue to change the needle position but i went the easier route. I will try the need position first when i get home. I have a few gears to play with too. Do you guys think its more bike set-up, or riding style?
  14. Gearing is 15-41 for now (thinking about going to 14 in front), jets are 160/58 and air screws are 2.5 out (i think) not sure about needle. I was going to go home today and start tuning/messing with the carbs
  15. I ride a stock cylinder aggressive dune port 4mil, 35mm kiehins, +4 timing on 50/50 with 21cc domes and 10paddle haulers 72in ro and I am just getting into sand drags, and i cant seem to launch in 2nd gear effectively. I generally run better races when i launch in 1st but i know i am not getting full potential out of my quad. When i launch in 2nd I either need to burn my clutch for seemingly way way too long, or i just bog out completely even when throttle is pinned before the drop. Can somebody give me some advice? do i need to change my setup? I am frustrated running too close with JD's (87sheerips) stock stroke trail bike.
  16. MJ has a point, everytime i go to the stealership, i end up feeling ripped off anyway. Once you get a good feel for where to look, you can find everything you need. Shit, with Ray's (minkia38) stock pile of banshees, i think we will all be able to find the parts we are looking for, for a long long time
  17. This is a SMOKING deal, somebody better jump on this!
  18. Yeah thats JD's bike. he designed some simple brackets that you can use with your current CPI silencers, just swap sides. I would recommend talking to him, lots cheaper than buying new silencers that you may not end up liking anyway.
  19. ive been doing throttle thumb stretches all week to get prepared for this weekends madness. cant wait!
  20. yeah they are identical head pipes, all that is different on the ESRs is the silencers
  21. I picked up a set of the ESR's from a member here for my new build. They look awesome and sound even better. The nice thing about them, is you dont have to use a pipe clamp at the joint from the header pipe to the silencers. They have a double o-ring setup that seams to seal it off perfect, no leaks or oil spatter. if you can find some, they are really nice pipes.
  22. Whatever you do, DO NOT use the heat wrap with adhesive on one side. it just melts and makes a mess that is near impossible to remove. you can buy the fiberglass exhaust wrap at most autoparts stores, or the real good stuff from Summitracing.com.
  23. Its an open competition, the more vids the better
