  1. yah, well, i have 6 2009 trans am gt's, because i couldn't pick the color, so i got one for every day of the week. oh, and i just dropped 3k on a h4 with 36" spinners. i had to sell one of the yaghts to send my dayghter to public school, though....important shit, you know.
  2. um, well, this is the point of the domes. it's .060 to get to the chamber size from efficient pump, to efficient blend, as you put it. which can be done by swapping dome size. to get to both chamber sizes on the stock head, pump would have fucked up .090" squish, robbing power. now just moving between safepump and needing higher oct by an increment of .010", you would have an "ok" squish, but not nearly enough compresion to be efficient, which i know for a fact you can feel in the ass-dyno. both cheeks. so you may be trying to make this little point, but really , it doesn't help your arguement one bit..
  3. damn, i fucked up. i really shouldn't have bought a coolhead to change my setup 4 times.........ty for showing me the way..........SHUT THE FUCK UP. changing your compression 4 times is exactly enough cause to go strait to a coolhead and not fuck aroud with the stockker. stock is when you plan on setting it up once. damn, gettin finger cramps and have to cpy-paste between the 2 threads?
  4. and, he edits.......grasps at straws.........trys to insult the main point of being here.........not lookin good in the slo corner...........one more hit could just do him in folks.........
  5. cheap ass. i like my wife to drive something safer than 7k.......especially with my daughter ridding.
  6. didn't somone just get banned for threatening such an attack on the hq? if you don't give one or 2 or 50 shits about this site, leave. plain and simple. but, you are the shit expert, sooo.....
  7. there you go again with your off-axis mental theories again.....can't even stick to the subject. yes, our healthcare system is fuckt, more everyday, and it's all because people are not shaving their heads. we should be a nation of skinhea....wait, that's just fucked up and you're smart. i know this because you said so yourself.......many times. i need his posts, and several others, too. you are one energetic retard to keep up with. especially for us people with a real life.
  8. only half are unported????? now, i know you are just guessin with no info to go off of. just from the little i've seen on this site, sale ads, other people, i'd have to guestimate that at least 80% or more bikes still running are unported, and mabey half of those are an actuall port job, not just hogged holes. one big, big thing about a billet head- you find one, buy it. next, it arrives in the mail- you drive your shee to the garage, back door, whatever, spend an hour installing, if you like to clean and inspect shit, and dink around like me, then go drive it arround again. if you don't like it you dome choice, sell them for around$40 after buying another set, or just trade. if you ever want to sell, thats a quick 125-180 back in your pocket, and if you bought used, then you will probably get the same amount back as you paid. most people do not have tools, steady hand, experience, or "feel" to cut on something like cyls, and it makes them either feel like shit, or dive in over their head and fuck up royally when you come on pushing eveyone to do what you want them to, like porting. if a guy is going to, they are probably going to ask, read existing posts, and will have already accepted the fact that they are probably going to fuck it up. otherwise, will end up devistated with a dead bike and no money to fix it....then who are they going to blame? bhq, of coarse. timing plate? yes, you actually can fuck it up, and have to blow 300 on a new stator/flywheel. plus they are cheaper than the cheapest tooling to do it. i alway suggest doing it as a fun little project, if you have the tools laying aroun (which means you know how to use them) you say you pick-apart info to see what's real, well, i think you are picking from all the wrong threads, because you should have seen the following fact mentioned at least 100x, and it's not from brainwashing. ......site sponsors are reliable, gauranteed, proven work. peroid. i can't tell you how many times i've heard guys having to go to a site sponsor, or buy new engine/topend/whatever simply because joe-blow "best porter in the state" or whatever fucked up royally. going to someone other than the sponsors usually, not always, but usually ends up in big issues. going to a sponsor- mabey less than 1% have some issue, but it's fixed right away and then some. hell, i even get porting advise from a sponsor, knowing full well that i'm doing the work myself, instead of paying to have it done. here's a fun tidbit- people only talk themselfs up for 2 reasons- 1: job interveiw, and 2: no one else will (usually for good reason) i don't see you applying for a job here. it appauls me how you can take even the best intentioned good idea, or advise and fuck it up hard core...........you are always trying to be the maurder, fighting for all the little people out there oppressed by "the man" trust me- against the grain is my way of life, but i have enough sence to see more of what is really there, and not just justify what i want to see from things. all you are doing is making youself out o be an idiot, and the only thing you hit the nail on is that people will do, or be swayed to what is "in" or "the thing". what normally is "in" around here is to make your own choices, and not be affraid to ask questions. you are segregatin that into the masses vs. the idiot/moron ("idiot/moron" being you, basically) so think about that, and what it means. you are trying to get people to save a few bucks, but the way you present and conduct yourself veers their descision the opposite. how many people do you think have decided to buy a coolhed now, which probably would have just shaved? all from your little ordeal/crusade. i've been holding onto my stocker, which is a little dinged up in one chamber, to have cut, but perhaps i'll just chuck it when i get home. face it- there is no conspiracy to uncover. if you search a while, you will find plenty of us regularly do suggest the verry thing you think is being oppressed. you're simply being a dumbass, and don't realize you will never save face. btw- putting that quote in your sig is just dumb. if you don't like the site, it's people, or the owner, go spout your shit elsewhere. do you realize that tyler can get rid of you for whatever reason he feels like? you're simply here because we need the current village idiot to keep things entertaining. and, as i've already mentioned, you probably sent a little buisness to the sponsors anyways, lol
  9. wtf? there's no .030" pump.....fail
  10. hmm, i was wondering if anyone has maqpped the hotspots in both scenarios. i'd immagine that the same flow rate through larger capacity would slow average movement through/in the head, propigating better convection. movement in the cyl. water jackets is greatly dependant on convection, isn't it? both stock, and most billet heads....i say most, since there is a head that forces flow through the cyls, at least partially. haha, there has been intellegent answers, but certainly none from you i also know my SH .....nuff said..
  11. wtf? hookers are interested in not knowing you and forgetting as soon as possible, since you would just remind them that they are a hooker. besides, hookers are great for treating them like hookers. however, matt isn't allowed to see hookers anymore. i doned nowe about yoo , but i wash my brane daylee
  12. ok, i'll put it differently- coolhead=hemi stock=stock what you put in your charger=same circumstances
  13. no, i'm not saying that. i'm saying you can get more power out of a coolhead, period. there you go again on severely biased comparisons. think about it....now think about it again......now smack yourself upside the head, and get yo mind right. unbiased- the coolhead is for the guy who is more seroius about building. porting is also for the guy more serious about building. porting gets you more power, so is the more important mod of the 2 and done first. look around- pretty much most ported bikes either have, or are waiting for a coolhead. most bikes without a coolhead are stock cyl, with little more than pipes. just keeping with the origional criteria, not switching things up like someone.....
  14. well, your posts do just fine making you look "slo"...no matter how much you try to use big words..... personally, i would not consider fucking with the squish clearance like that to switch between race, and pump. all that is really doing is making you need more octane to prevent detonation on a tight squish, or less efficient burn with a loose squish. either way, you are robbing power off one setup. i'm sure mull wouldn't suggest doing that. cut the head for what you want and set the squish properly.....period. i still stand behind the fact that pretty much anyone deciding to port only shaves the stock head for lack of funds.
  15. now, it doesn't nescicarily show that it was the new design head that dropped the temps. fresh, new aluminum will transfer heat better, and so will new coolant. i still believe the dome cooling fins do contribute- just trying to look at it unbiased.
  16. pics to [email protected] definately interested in at least the pivot tube, pipeclamps, and fender supports.....dibs!
  17. mabey a shaved head will be good for the guy just piped, and a few bolt-ons, like reeds/timing, but generally, a guy who is going to port would only be running a shaved head to save money.the different chamber options-+1 the cooling fins on domes (other than hemi) +1 for heat transfer. ability to change domes at will for different needs +1 bling, lol, +1 cheap repar from topend failure damage+1 reuseable o-rings +1...and they are just cool heads+100
  18. damn, yah realtors are nice, if you can get them. all i find are for 10" rim. i run kenda bear claw 22/12/9 rears and they hook really freakin well in the mud and shit. you cna run them 2 ways for mud or sand
  19. interested in that pivot tube and key relocator shipped to 99516... what are those billet covers for?
  20. i can tell you that it's not the tors that is doing it with water, and neither will the tors help prevent it from running away. the slides are not sticking, and i don't think it's water in the bowls either. it messes with the venturri somehow. it will do it hot or cold, and it's 10x worse when it's cold. only fix is to seal up the carbs at all points, like cable, etc, avaid water to the filter, or simply buy aftermarket carbs. when it happens, just keep pulling the choke out untill it loads up and starts to die, then push it back in and let it clear out. keep doing that untill it idles normall again, and they will be dried out. if the engine is hot, sometimes you can just keep riding, and it will go away in 10-15 seconds on it's own.
  21. uh.....huh?.....you got that backwards, man. 304 are "factory sound" silencers and 296 are forrestry/db aproved silencers....you might wanna go double check, and if they are 304's then pull them apart and see for yourself. now, the 296 does, however, have 304 stainless stinger tubes on them.....mabey that's the confusion? oh, and the 296 silencers do not kill the power, or lessen it vs. the 304's. that's just the old loud=power way of thinking we are pre-programed to think. other silencers might hinder somehow, with sparky/stuffers, etc, but not these. in fact, when i get home, i'm sendin my purdy 304's out in trade for some 296's since i will need them to tour the us.
  22. remember, almost everyone is going to say the pipe they have is the best, or super duper great, at least, unless they reallly don't like them. the fatty and t-5's are mid-top pipes, if that's what you want.
  23. you need to update your "my banshee" description....i know it ain't like that anymore, lol
