  1. No thread is Dead around here. I did my search and found a crappy answer. Anyway it started of like this. I decided I was going to do an alignment on the Banshee. I get my 4 foot level and go about doing the gear shifter side and my front tire was within spec. I go do the Rear foot brake side and I was like WTF. The Right Rear tire stick's out and additional 2 1/2 inches. So I got the tire on that side straight by taking measurements from the left side and duplicating them on the right. Then I did the Toe-In part so all in all I'm good. I tell you though I knew something looked odd on my Banshee and I do believe it's this RR tire sticking out an additional 2 1/2". What an answer that Yamaha let's some of these Banshee's get to the showroom floor like this.
  2. I didn't think about this raising the bars at all but since you said that and I've studied the piece I can see where it would raise the bars slightly like you said. Now the question is How much did it raise the bars ? Would you say an inch or dont know ?
  3. I'm not really sure swhitey917. I would like for this http://www.trailtech.net/030-YBF.html to sit 2 inches taller so I can install the Ignition key cylinder and also my new bars. I ordered a set of Flexx bars. This piece that I'm showing will accept the 1 1/8" needed diameter for the Flexx bars to be installed. Thanks for the reply !
  4. Your bikes are Absolutely Beautiful !!!
  5. Hey Guys, First of all I want to raise my Handlebars 2 full inches because of the New Clarke tank that I purchased. At the same time I want to retain the Ignition key location. I don't have to have the stock plastic Ignition part but something that I can put the actual key cylinder onto. I realize the key will sit 2 inches higher at the same time. That is no problem. Do you guy's know of anything ? Also I will be selling a bunch of items next week. For example, All stock Blue Plastics (Uncut), Fuel tank, Work's Dual Rate shocks, Clutch side cover (case), and many other things. Just a heads up. I know my Post count is not very high here yet but I have other way's to prove credibility if need be. Example Ebay Account, You Tube Account.
  6. 14mm Jeff told me this today over at Fast.
  7. Thanks Jeff, I'm leaving right now for the post office. I included a list of the things I need in the box. I added 2 - 27.5 pilots. I also put 2 - 280 main jets. I just dropped the float bowl on both carbs and both the pilots are reading 25. Mains are 260.
  8. No question about that, I'm reading it now. Save to favorites to boot.
  9. Wow, Looks like just what I need. Thank You Tarmacsti !
  10. 260 mains, 25 pilot plugs are black and oily but am in the process of getting the top end bored, honed, pistons/rings.
  11. My air mixture screws on both carburetors are screwed all the way in for the Banshee to run it's best. I know that they should be both set to 1 1/2 turns out to start tuning but they end up all the way in to run it's best. Any suggestions ? Thanks
  12. Thank You everyone who responded with your expertise and oppinions to my question. I talked to Jeff today and I'm sending the cylinder's to him in the morning. I've got them off the bike and soaking in soapy water in the wash basin in the laundry room. Jeff told me to send them in clean and packed good and tight. Some of you mentioned getting them ported since they needed work anyway. The previous owner did have an MX trail port done to the cylinders when he had the topend done four years ago. I'm having Jeff check the port job while he has the cylinders. Do you guy's replace the cylinder stud's when you do your top ends ? Just curious because mine look kind of corroded/rusty. I have another question. My air mixture screws on both carburetors are screwed all the way in for the Banshee to run it's best. I know that they should be both set to 1 1/2 turns out to start tuning but they end up all the way in to run it's best. Any suggestions ?
  13. Hey Guy's, I have done allot of research on this forum and am in need of some experienced advice. I have made a video today and would appreciate anyone interested to watch it and give me some feedback. I am putting a milled head on my Banshee that I purchased from Jeff (Fast Farm and Sand toys). I decided to clean the top's of the pistons with some degreaser and steel wool when the piston started wiggling. I don't think this is good but maybe it's within spec. I know you guy's will know. Thank You so much for your experience and interpretation. Also if you deem this needs machine work would you please advice with who.
  14. Thanks guy's !, That's what I needed some quick help. Yes rubberneck I've got the new fiber's soaking now and Thanks Themechanic (seperation anxiety lol). I see we have a phychiatrist in the house. I may need to ask you Non Banshee related questions lol.
  15. Hey Guys, I need a quick answer but a little background first. I bought my Banshee used in 2008. It's a 2004 model. I am currently in my garage installing a modified shift shaft with easy spring and a shift star by cascadeinnovations through Jeff, Fast farm and Sand Toys. I figured since I was in there to change out my clutch so I bought a Magnum billet clutch basket through Jeff and a (Trail Version) Driveline New clutch assembly fibers and steels through eBay. Here's my question, The order that the clutch is coming off is O'Ring, Fiber, Steel, O'Ring, Fiber, Steel, O'Ring, Fiber, Steel etc etc... The new clutch only came with Fiber's and Steels, No O'Rings. Should I put the old O'Rings back on with the new Fiber's and Steel's. Thank You In Advance for All help. I Love this forum. You guy's are great.
  16. I ordered my tank last night. Same tank you have J.J. and for the same reasoning. I really like the look of your Banshee and I bet you love having 5.5 gallon's on board when you start out. I know I will. I went to Hatfield-McCoy Trails Rock House last May for a week. I had a blast but ran out of Gas three times. I was carrying two pre-mixed 1 Gallon gas cans on my Cargo rack. Buddy and I are going back again this May or June and I won't be carrying those gas cans this time. I'm in my garage right now installing the Fast modified shift shaft and shift star. Also putting in a Billet clutch basket and a new Driveline clutch. I'm getting her ready. Fun times are coming!
  17. Nope, You don't take that kind of crap my man. You pay with a credit card in order to get your Bike or wheel's out of the shop and then you call your credit card company and dispute the charges right away. Also You talk to the top dog of said stealership and let them know you want your money back plus damage control. If they don't want to help you, you let them know your reporting this to the BBB and do it. There is NO way I would let that go. Good Luck and I really don't think your going to have a problem.
  18. Thanks, J.J. I'm going to order the Tank as soon as I post this but do have another question. I read where you reuse your oem petcock. Did your Clarke tank come with what looks like the gasket that goes between the petcock and the tank so fuel does not leak ? Yamaha calls this piece I'm referring to as a ".O-RING" Part # 4X8-24512-00-00 If Clarke does not supply this I guess I will order a new one. The Part cost is meager at $2.25 but shipping for this little part is $7.95 Thank you for the Handlebar information. I will probably do the same as you but will weight until I get the new tank installed.
  19. I've been running Motul 800 Factory Line double exter 2T for the last 4 year's and the Banshee runs great. I do like the smell to. I've been reading where allot of you guy's run the Klotz Oil 2-Cycle Super Techniplate Racing Oil - Gallon KL-101 and say it work's well for you and you also like the smell. Well the Klotz is quite abit cheaper than the Motul so I went ahead and ordered a gallon of it today to try. The Klotz runs about $45.00/gallon where the Motul runs about $65.00/gallon.
  20. Hey Guys, This may be my first post but I've come here for year's for the knowledge and ideas I am really on the fence with whether to get an oversize fuel tank for my Banshee or not. I've read through probably every post on this forum related to subject. I'm aware that most think both the IMS and the Clarke tanks don't look good. I've read about cutting the plastics and so on but honestly I'm looking at the few on this thread that posted pics of there Clarke tanks and I think they look good. I really like your's J.J. And the sticker Banshee HQ.com is a nice touch ! Would you mind telling me if you had any problems with your install, i.e. Handlebars hitting when you turn them side to side? Handlebar height issues ? Also any of the other's that installed there Clarke tanks, did you all have any issues ? I see that there was a ton of negative press year's ago with both the IMS and the Clarke over sized tanks. Did things change in the last couple of years with the making of them ? The picture on the power-barn website of the Clarke tank on the Banshee looks good to me. Also it's on sale for $209.00 right now so depending on the responses that I get I will make a decision whether to purchase one or not. Thanks everyone for your Help.
