  1. I know this thread is old but I will tell you what worked to free up my clutch plates. I rode it with the clutch lever pulled in the whole time. After about ten minutes of riding all of a sudden the motor goes "Zing" and alas the clutch freed itself. After that I changed the tranny fluid and learned what to do if the plates freeze together again. Just ride with your clutch pulled in the whole time and eventually your clutch will free up.
  2. OK, I did say I would leave feedback on my situation here. I mixed 2.5 gallons of aviation fuel (100 Octane) with 2.5 gallons premium fuel (93 Octane) and Klotz Super Techniplate oil together and ran it in the Banshee. The only thing I had to adjust for the bike to run extremely good was the air/fuel mixture screws. Banshee now starts up on first kick cold and runs awesome. As you all know when your bike runs really good with lots of power it is going to be hard to notice a seat of the pants increase in power. This would have to be dynoed to really see if I lost or gained horsepower. All in all I'm happy. This winter I'm probably going to put a .043 cylinder base gasket (reinforced with metal) on the bike and have a set of domes cut specifically for the bike to run on premium fuel minus the aviation fuel. I do appreciate you guy's input to not chance premium fuel alone and agree with your suggestions, Thanks !!!
  3. I went to our local airport like I was debating earliar and bought aviation fuel. 100 Octane, $6.00/Gallon, It is blue in color. I'm going to mix this with premium 93 octane half & half and have fun this summer. I will re-visit this situation later this year. M671054, I'm sure the porting was done refrencing the cylinder base gasket thickness, problem is I don't know what that thickness was and I am aware it will mess with the port timing. I'm hoping everything runs good tomorrow and feel's good. I will leave some feedback on this either tomorrow or Friday. Thanks You for all your help Guy's !
  4. Thanks guy's, I think I'm going to first back the timing back to stock. Get 5 gallons of fresh 93 octane fuel. Ride it, check the plugs and go from there. I was also thinking of calling our local airport and seeing if they sell av fuel and possibly mixing half and half in a 5 gallon jug. I imagine whoever did the mx port on the cylinders must have also decked the cylinders at the same time. I never did measure the base gasket two years ago when I sent my cylinders to Jeff but I'm would think it was either an .020 or .030 and that was what the porting was based on but the squish was uncomfortably tight. I knew this whole thing was very odd and this is why I posted it. Is there any problem with running a .046 base gasket if I decide it works ? Thanks Again.
  5. Jeff did the bore two years ago, he did ask me something about the cylinders and honestly it went in one ear and out the other. I didn't understand what he was talking about. I guess this is coming back to get my attention now. I agree something (decked) was done to these cylinders, it wasn't jeff though.
  6. 64.5mm bore. Jeff (fast) did the .020 over I bought the bike from original owner (5 years ago) that had an mx port job done on it. Company that did the porting is no longer in business. I originally put the cool head on with a .020 cylinder base gasket and the squish was .026 .029 and compression 172 175. Reason for the.046 gasket.
  7. Hey guys, Just installed my new Chariot Cool Head with 21cc domes. Can I still run pump gas ? Here are the details. 300 feet above sea level cylinder base gasket .046 squish .048 .045 Timing +4 main jets 290 pilot jets 30 compression 157 160 Thanks!
  8. Thanks Troy By all means you are correct here. I didn't even look at the date of this post. But I got my problem fixed here so I figured to help the community out I would post the fix. I bought this swingarm last year brand new which included the carrier. I've had problems tightening the chain since day1 with it. I purchased a new Lone Star Carrier and this fixed everything I mention in my video. A huge problem is when people need help and never come back to the thread to let people know what fixed there issue.
  9. Thanks to everyone for an overwhelming response who needs and wants one of my home made leak down testers. I wasn't selling them and I haven't been active on the forums for quite some time. I posted a problem with my Banshee yesterday and instead of getting an answer I got several "Do you still sell your leak down testers". So in response I made a promise that today (Sunday) I would try to get parts and make some. I spent all day today doing this and they are on eBay now. If you all want more I will get more stuff to make more Monday. A couple of things to remember! Use a hand pump, not an air compressor. I take No responsibility in how you use this tool. If you put an air chuck on this valve backed with an air compressor you will blow your seals out of your engine. It does not take much air to get 6 psi inside a tight motor. I will tell everyone right now, You can make these yourself so don't complain about my price. Some people just don't understand others when they buy something they can make themselves. It is called convenience. For whatever reason they want to place an order and get the item a couple of day's later. I do this all the time. If I don't feel like doing something I pay to get it done. I'm only shipping to the USA initially. I will change this when sales slow down. Shipping outside the USA is another ballgame. Customs forms out the you know what and shipping costs are intense. Example $45.00 shipping to Canada. I should know I shipped a bunch there. Did I say, You can make these yourself. The leak down testers are currently on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/130871354889?item=130871354889&viewitem=&vxp=mtr#shId
  10. Hello bansheejoel and BansheeHQ members, Is this the problem that you are having Joel ? If so I am obviously having the same problem and I am trying to figure out what is wrong myself. I just made this video a few days ago and am at a loss. The Swingarm is only 15 months old and same with the lone star racing part, i.e. axle, sprocket hub, wheel hubs. I know the video is long guys and I'm sorry for that. Joel if this is the same problem you are having I understand your frustration. Thanks to anyone that can help me and Joel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-riU7mwBvo

  15. I ran that oil for about 3 years but changed to Klotz Super Techniplate and IMO the latter runs substantially cleaner. I knew this after pulling the head and hardly having any carbon buildup on the pistons. The Klotz is cheaper too
  16. Well your seeing first hand what the 29L/R Rods can do right in this thread. You know what to do, It's obvious and you will be down and waiting another two weeks and spending more money.
  17. I've been thinking about going 4 mil for my next winters project. I'm starting to do my homework and research and came across this thread. Wow I'm really sorry to the o.p. for all the damage. Obviosly these rods have not been proven because who in there right mind would install them in a Banshee if they ever saw this ? Is this the rod to avoid ? or Basically if the rod is Bronze avoid it ? http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=HOTRODS%2DATVCONNECTRODS&CartID=
