    pull the airbox off and get some k&n pods to start off with. noss head and an adjustable timing plate set to +4 will help too. pro circuits arent a top end pipe but theyre ok. if you can find some cheap 28mm carbs, throw those on too. thats about all you can do without getting into portwork which is where the REAL power is made.

    m10x1.25. i couldnt find a button head allen SS bolt in a 1.25 pitch so i re-tapped mine for a 1.5.

    i thought a kehin fcr was a 4 stroke carb? i want a rs500 though. whatever it is. it looks pretty mean and its a 2 stroke. ive heard of a rz500 but this looks like a modern day crotch rocket.

    it shouldnt cost $2k bro. pistons, bore and crank shouldnt cost any more than $700. mustve been running way lean to run good then completely lock up in 15 mins. what happened?

    i have silver maiers and have had no problem with them in 2 years. fitment was a small issue (radiator cover) but no biggy. maier used to be crap back in the day but sometime back they changed their molding process and ever since they shine and look just like oem.

    check for spark like everybody else said. have you done a plug chop? 280 mains may be a little lean depending on where you live (elevation).
