thanks for the info... will try to get a hold of these guys and see what i can do -
ya i figured the shee would be better... was wonderin bout that cause i thought about getting a 250r to drag along side my shee... would it be worth the investment? i am thinkin that it would take alot more money to get it to keep up with an equally fast shee... but idk... would a shee still be faster if u were to build one of each on like say a 10,000 budget per bike?

i have always wondered this, and have heard the topic go both ways before. i figured y not bring up the topic on the hq. if these quads were fully modded to the wall, set up for straight line dirt draggin, which one would win in 300 feet? let the discussion begin...

that would be sweet to see a hypersled engine dropped into the banshee and sold thsat way out of the box. although it would never happen i would like to see yamaha's new phazer motor dropped into the frame. although it may be a 4-stroke, it makes a very solid 80 horse stock... and it is basically 2 yz 250 engines molded together, so it would not lose the twin aspect that has made the banshee an icon... idk though that just seems more of a reachable goal for me... especially now that yamaha has moved completly towards 4-stroke tech

next spring there will be an mx, drag, and mud bog series that will begin for the northern new york area. there will be a points system for all three events. if anyone is interested in competing in any of the series, feel free to ask me questions, or u can visit one of the websites that are affiliated with the series. we do not have alot of info on the series at the moment, will post more when it gets closer to spring. http://www.adirondackatv.org/index.htm

thanks man, ya there are very few places that still make parts for these bikes, and all of them are half way across the country from me, if you could get a hold of some places that i could possibly contact that would be awesome -
are you using the stock a-arms with the 300ex shocks? are the mounts the same as the stockers?
-
would i just use the r1 shock on the back end? if so what shocks would work well with that setup on the front? im not looking to use marvin shaw shocks... way to expensive for my budget haha
-
thanks for the help guys... i was also looking into changing up the supsension system, get it lowered for the drags, what do u guys suggest? i have a steel bar that came with the swinger when i bought it used, and it puts the swinger about level but dont know if i want that... what are my options for aftermarket shocks that will give me a super low ride but still keep me suspended well? i had thought about making some rods and settine the entire chassis up solid... is this a good idea or not? any help would be appreciated
-
what kind of swinger is it? how much u want for it? i would be interested in it possibly... let me know
-
i have been in the process of overhauling a banshee that i bought over the summer... it is described below... was wonderin if teh +4 swinger will be enough to keep the front end down when i sand drag on a first gear take off... am not able to actually run the bike till spring due to the snowy weather... if u guys dont think so it would be nice to know so i can get somethin longer

k ill check there and hopefully i can find somethin -
this may be off the banshee topic, but i have a friend who owns this dirtbike and we cannot seem to find any parts for the bike anywhere... the engine needs to be completly rebuilt, the coolant competly drained into the oil and mixed inside the engine after a ride and ceazed the piston... is it even worth fixing??? if i could get some help from someone that would be great... thanks
-
i ride in the tugg hill region and there are miles and miles of trails to ride... along with plenty of drag and mx events throughout the year... if u get a chance try to make it up this way
-

-
if you are into snowmobiling at all... guessing not... i wear a pair of bibs... snowmobile style or carhart... thermal layer or two, longsleeve shirt over it, a snocross jacket, and a full face helmet... dont bother getten frost bit on ur face u wont tolerate it very long haha
-
i would say that jetting would be the first solution that i would suggest. any time that you add more oxygen into the cylinders than the stock setup produces, it will throw off the proper mixture of air to fuel. before you try to change the jetting, check over anything else on the wheeler, from the connection between the cylinders and the manifold, to where the intake connects to the carbs... if nothing else seems to be wrong, then change the jetting some.
