same here, i actually sandblasted mine then ruffed them up, hit with high heat primer then 2 coats of bbq grill paint(goes up to lke 500*+) then let dry and installed. Had a buddy who powder coated them and another guy i know used that race insulater wrapping.
Im running maxima r oil in a 32:1 mix. Having pretty good results with it but was wondering if there is a better oil out there. Seen the penzoil 2 stroke and other maxima's but nothing that really caught my eye. info anyone-Dan
im in the same boat, have the chief of police next door, fire chief next to him, and then city council men all around us. Im a detention office and they still give me crap about noise probs and i have many citations to thank them for.
to 90, i have a 90 with j arms. IMO i have better luck with the j arms. Dont know why but i do. A buddy of mine whos bike is in my sig on the left has an identical setup just diff motor work and i can stay down more on my bike than his a arm setup. They are all the same so i guess its just a preference. MAIN GOAL IS TO HAVE FUN. Keep us posted though.
bike runs bad ass, 1 problem that is always coming back. The overflow tube is dripping gas again. I adj the floats per you guys and clymers and cleaned and synced both properly. It really only drips after riding hard or coming to a stop really fast. Any advice????
I have stock front head lamps and was wanting to do away with them but i ride occasionally at night and dusk. Whats a good smaller but bright light to bolt on. Pics would be good too-Dan
im running maxxis razors in the back and kenda klaws up front. the back says max psi at 30lbs and the front say max 5lbs operating psi. What would be a good psi to stay with for running flat, packed dirt/sand trails? Usually go 20-25 in back and 10-13 up front-Dan
