My elevation is about 500', and temps range from 40's-90's. I currently run straight 100LL fuel so that is not big deal. Also I am running stock carbs.

I was wondering what a good starting point would be for my banshee. Its bored .040 over, 4mm long rod, cool head 20cc domes, +5 timing, paul turner mid range pipes, k&n filter with air box lid still on. The motor has no port work done and I will be using a spacer plate for the time being until I can get it ported. What would be a good place to start? Thanks in advance for any help.

Anyone riding in South Jersey tomorrow? 11/29/09
Wheelie Ripper replied to bode1's topic in Riding and Events Forum
Hey MJ, where in Hunterdon county are you? Im in delaware township so you cant be too far away. As for NJ being dumb, we just dont register our stuff because it does no good anyways. Just be ready to drop a gear and disappear if your ride in this state. I have 2 spots in NJ that are pretty good, but thats only because we have friends that live right near the spots so parking is no big deal. -
Selling an 87 banshee, runs strong, all bearings and balljoints are nice and tight. Has FMF pipes, UNI air filter. Bike is located just outside flemington NJ. Looking for 1900 or best offer. See it run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OENqxPtBPpk I can't get pics to work on this site. Best way to contact me is through my e-mail [email protected]

Selling a LEFT side cylinder/jug that I had laying around the shop. Came off a running bike and is in pretty good shape. There is some minor surface rust (can barely even see in the pic), but should be good to go after a quick hone. I took a quick measurement with a digital caliper and it measured 64.44mm. I would like to get 125 shipped priority mail.

You really need to just do a compression test, my buddys bike had 70 psi and started right up and idled and the kicker felt find. there is NO substitute for an actual test. you should also do a leak down test as well. you may not have a choice of what bore to use. After honing, you should have about .003" piston to cylinder clearance (you measure the bore with a bore gauge and subtract .003" and see if the stock size piston will work). If your within specs you can just hone and put stock size pistons in, if not you need to have it bored out. also if the cylinder is scored you will need to have it bored. Most bore jobs aren't from choice as they dont yield that much power

Thanks for the replies, i know i am safe running the avgas, but wasn't sure if i could squeeze some more power out of it by going 50/50. Does anyone know what the max compression is for avgas?? -
Hi, I was wondering if i should continue running straight avgas or if i should mix 50/50 with 93 pump gas. My mods are as follows. Bored .040 over, cool head with 170 psi compression on both cylinders, +5 timing, paul turner mid range pipes. My elevation is 450 feet above sea level. Also does my jetting sound alright, im running 300 mains, 30 pilots? Thanks for your help

Looking to buy a kick starter, can just be the top part or both pieces. Looking for something fairly cheap. Let me know what you have

I was wondering if freeland is owned by Reading Anthracite Coal company (if so my permit would allow me to ride there). If not I was wondering if it is any good and also if someone could give me information about how to get there etc. If your not confortable posting because you dont want the spot to get blown up you can always PM me. Thanks!

One Cylinder out = water related?
Wheelie Ripper replied to plumcrazy73dodge's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Was at 70 PSI, put oil in it and it went to 90 PSI, you guys think that it is more then likely worn rings instead of bent rods? thats what im leaning towards -
Hi, I am looking to squeeze a little more power out of my shee and was wondering what size domes i should get. It is bored .040 over, PT mid range pipes, +5 timing and i have 125 PSI of compression on both sides. Would i still be able to run 93 octane if i ran 21cc domes? Thanks
