I have a similar set up, 4mm with spacer, .040 over with 795 pistons, pt mid pipes, foam filter with no air box lid, 20cc domes +4 timing and stock carbs. Runnings 350 mains and 30 pilots and it runs perfect, 360 it bogged wide open, went to 350's and it runs cherry. Try soaking the carbs and make sure both are getting enough fuel because something does not sound right

My 4mm has 170psi compression and I'm running +5 timing. Run 100LL straight mixed with klotz supertechniplate. Runs great, no problems and smells awesome

I have a buddy that was running pods on a brand new motor, he tried to skim over some water and it ended up sucking some water, bending rods and making a headache. For piece of mind, I would just run an air box. just my 2 cents

I have a stock crank with good bearings. Came out of a running bike. I upgraded to a 4mm. Make me an offer. I can take pics or ship it on Saturday.

I may be interested, send some pics to lilridr@aol.com. I have a 99 banshee that I am currently putting a 4mm long rod crank in. Paul turner mid pipes, +5 timing, max rev cdi, paul turner cool head with 20cc domes (170 psi compression).

I had 18's on my shee and like everyone is saying, my skid plate was getting hung up on everything. No fun doing a hill climb and all of a sudden the skid plate starts skiing and lifts the rear wheels right off the ground. For MX or smooth surfaces they are fine, but anything else they become a pain and will get you stuck everywhere.

eventually i will upgrade my carbs, but for the time being, i need to work with what i have. Im thinking starting out at 380's and then plug chop it.
