  2. hey how much are you looking for these. I dont really like the look but my fenders are so old anything would like nice on the shee. I'd offer in the low 100's. Not sure if your willing to go that low let me know.
  3. Do you mean melt the intake boots down or the engine? Just wondering because mine came with one and I took it off. I can say from experience that they do crack the boots. Both mine were cracked and its hard to see unless your looking for it. Made it run horrible and overheat within 5 minutes of riding.
  4. Since you didnt post a price what would you think about 3,000-4,000. Not tryin to lowball just all I could get.
  5. I know its got an aftermarket cool head on it too. How hard would it be for me to find out if its bored or stroked? I may not be able to get a good angle without takin it out but ill try.

  7. First of all I was hoping for a little bit better advice than just asking someone or racing another banshee. The guy I bought it from bought it used as well. He "heard" it was an alba racing banshee...and where I live I cant get it out of third. (10 acres). No other banshees around. If its stock id probably get a dune trail/woods port to freshen it up and what not. If I could get a -2 swinger for 200 bucks would that be a decent deal since I need to replace everything related to the swingarm? (bushings bearings). Ill prolly never ride sand in the near future so im not much of a topend guy. I know i shouldnt expect answers out the ass from everyone here because im just another person but it'd just be nice if I didnt have to ask my dealer questions every day or ask them to look at my motor. (100 dollar minimum and 100 an hour) Whatever advice u got thats possitive is appreciated.

  10. Does the lockout clutch make it easier to shift? Would it be good for trails or is it meant for racing?
  11. I bought a 2000 banshee and I know it has vf3 reeds, fmf fatties, and k&n filter with custom lid. I was told it has a lot of engine work done to it and I want to find out what kind of work its got. The only place local charges 100 dollars an hour labor and I dont know if they'd even want to do the work. I live in northern va and am wondering if theres any places around me that are banshee friendly. While I have a new topic i was also wondering if theres a wrong way to put an asv clutch lever on. Can I twist the cable to make it harder to pull the clutch or anything like that? It shifts way better im just wondering if I might need to replace the cable or make sure its completely straight.

  15. Hey i had exactly what your talking about happen to me with my banshee. Had it in the shop and got charged a bunch to clean the carbs and to get new needle valves. My air boots were good but right above the boot where the crossover tube had 2 cracks in it. I just got the banshee so i had no idea why it was revving high and sticking. Itd be nice/cheap if that was ur problem :biggrin:
  16. I dont mean plastic I just mean really flimsy. If I was to get suspension you think I should stick with stock width? I have a set of fmf so cal fatties. Not sure how those are but I have pretty good power right now...Now just need to work on getting more comfortable.

  19. Hey guys, as the title states im tryin to make my shee a little more comfortable for me around the woods at my house. Right now its got a boost bottle. Just kidding but i'm still workin on getting a stock crossover. Its got v force 3 reeds. its jetted, carbs synced perfectly, holeshots, and one thing that confuses me is pro taper handle bars. I heard pro taper is nice but I feel like im reaching way to far for these. Its also got fmf so cal fatties and the most important thing is the previous owner claims this was an alba racing banshee...so it might have a lot of work done to the engine. What I was thinking was to start with a easier clutch lever to pull, new bars eventually, a metal shifter so it doesnt give, and thats about it that I KNOW im going to buy eventually. I was also thinking about fullflight 2+1's because my front end is fallin apart, and maybe a -2 swingarm. I guess I really just wanna know if these mods would help along with maybe stock gearing and -1 up front. And is that site for 200 dollar -2 swingarms on ebay legit? Sorry I know Im asking 1000 questions I just have so many...lol Thanks
  20. thanks for the picture but thats not what im talking about. Im talking about after you pass that step and go to tighten the bolt where that rubber piece is. When I took one off it kept spinning and wouldn't tighten. Maybe mine was broken?
  21. Is there a special tool to get the tie rod end pieces to not spin when you try to tighten them. I have no idea how to keep them secure.
