  1. +1 on the not letting it idle long.
  2. If you plan on doing just intake/exhaust...T6s. If you plan on porting in the future (you will..)..T5s. If you run high RPMs, like drag, dunes, and port (or more) in the future...CPIs. You can always get a new exhaust though. I'm personally going with the T5s...I have a 2005 SE...that makes us almost brothers.
  3. Make sure your coolant levels are okay. I prefer Engine Ice coolant.
  4. Check your airfilter. Check your plugs. Clean your carbs.
  5. I'm just gonna guess and say jetting. I don't know anything about it, but I'm sure someone else does. When's the last time you replaced/checked your plugs? You might want to get an aftermarket air filter to help it breathe easier.
  6. This is going to be the list of mods: -K&N Pods w/ outerwears (remove stock airbox) -T5s -TORS Removed -VForce 3 Reeds w/ cage -Jetting -NGK Iridium Plugs -PD Cool head -21cc domes -Adj. Timing Plate +4 I guess my compression will be in the 156 range... (Although I won't know for sure until I actually do it all and check it.) Main reason for me asking was I wanted to see how far I'd be push to use race gas once I get everything installed. I don't want to...but if 150 is the suggested cut off, I guess I have no choice.
  7. ...does K&N filters, pipes, basic mods like that, have on compression (if any?)
  8. I was planning on taking pictures as I installed mods on my stock bike, and writing along with them what to do, and making different threads and pinning them. [K&N pods, TORS removal, pipes, jetting, coolhead, domes, adj. timing plate, and probably maintenance things like flushing coolant, gear oil, all that shit.] I guess there's no need to now, though.
  9. Damn...I've done it twice before, both on old pick up trucks and I had no problem with the DMV. When I was purchasing a Banshee, there was an older one w/o the title...I would have gotten it, if he had a title. He was having problems reissuing one also. But of course, this is FL, so we can't do anything right. I went and bought one with a title just because of this.
  10. Can't you apply to have a new title issued? I've done it before on trucks and stuff...check with your DMV. Usually they just check the VIN# to see if it's stolen and stuff and that's it.
  11. I'm with both of you. I ride a banshee because I can't find any other quad like it. It's in it's own world. I don't think I could ride any other quads, as they'd feel like lawnmowers now. At the end of the day, when I am tired as hell after trail riding for hours, I love it. I know that I really worked for it, and did some badass riding. I enjoy spinning my tires and roosting a lot, and clutching also. After all, I like to RIDE the bike. I don't want to sit on it and press a throttle and cruise around looking at birds. I like to be ripping through gears, going sideways in turns, hitting the brakes, all that stuff. It's the whole experience...that's what I like.
  12. Good post! I see the "I don't know how to post images" come up a lot when people are selling things, and things of that nature.
  13. Cool, thanks for the answers guys.
  14. I'll talk to my brothers and see if they are down for the trip. We have a Samauri on tractor tires, '85 Chevy 350 crate motor cammed on 38s w/ 10" lift, K5 blazer on 35s, a big bear, a king quad, among many other mud toys. We have a camp in Lakeport also. I'll talk to them, and make sure these machines are in good enough condition to make the trip. I don't think the big bear and king quad can make it though... Of course I'll bring the 'Shee. -------- It gets expensive, and I won't go unless they do...but I'll bounce the idea off of them.
  15. What is the benefit of doing this? Jw. I have no idea what it even is, really.
  16. Check for mice, lol. Apparently that works.
  17. Those look badass together. Nice lookin KFX...but only because the Shees in the picture too.
  18. No problem. I think somehow you changed the "Topic Views" without knowing, or something. I don't even know how you would do that, but maybe you hit a button. Usually things like that are temporarily stored in your cookies, and erasing all that will give you a clean slate. "You can also select one of three topic display modes: Outline - shows you one post with a list of the remaining posts at the below it, in tree format. Standard - this display mode shows the topic in the standard layout of one post above another, in the order selected by the administrator. Linear+ - is similiar to standard with the added benefit of having the first post of the topic always shown at the top, no matter what page of the topic you are on."
  19. Let me know if clearing all that stuff helps.
  20. I've never seen that before... Clear your cookies, temporary internet files, all that junk. Then log back on and see what it looks like. I'll look into it more if that doesn't work, usually I can find answers pretty good. (Tools -> Delete Browsing History -> All of them)
  21. I don't think I would ever do that. You should probably find a nearby walmart or advance auto or something, and get gasket making material (they have like cork sheets, and rubber sheets, things like that) and trace and cut your own out of that material. Using construction paper and shit has bad news written all over it IMO...
  22. Probably going to be that snorkel like everyone else said. Definately take your seat off and cover it...Jamebo had a good idea of the sandwich bag, and I'm going to use that idea here in a minute when I go to wash mine. Obviously you should take extra care on cleaning around sensitive parts, like the carbs. You wouldn't want to force any dirt or water where it doesn't belong.
  23. Hahahah
  24. Lmao. Pretty good.
