You can probably complain to Ebay or Paypal and get your money back if they are not 28s like he said, that's listing it wrong and will almost always get you your money back. IMO I like stockers over the 2:1 setup anyways...but that's just my preference, because if I get rid of my stocks they are going to be 28 flatsides. Fuck it, if you have them, put the 350s in and see what you think of 'em. I haven't looked at my bike today...I took it for a spin, and it was being a bitch just not running right. Either way it sat while I was out of town and I should look at the carb syncing and stuff anyways, it's been awhile since I actually tuned it instead of riding it. It can probably run through the weekend, but she's acting up. I'm going to have to pop off the gas tank to get down to where I need to be, haven't done it yet...I'll do it tomorrow or Thursday, I'll have an extra person to help me those days anyways to hand me tools and shit lol. Once I get the comp check I'll get you an answer for Seminole.

One kid was auctioning a pair. Expect to be dishing out a lot for a good set. Other than that, they'll probably just be shitty ones.

Did you buy these online or from our area? Just out of curiosity. I have stockers and we can compare them next to each other if we have to.

We were trying to get a stock stud outta the jug, and my friend wanted to apply heat to it. I couldn't find my new torch, so I ended up finding one that looked like it was from the '70s. I decided I didn't want to use it, but my friend decided to go for it. I told him to walk 30 yards out into my yard before he lit it, but he laughed and walked in the garage and lit it. It was good for about 2 seconds before I heard a hiss and it was leaking out of the bottle:handle connection. The flame quickly dipped around it, caught the leak, and the entire thing was on fire. The handle was quickly melting, and I figured the bottle was going to blow any second. I grabbed the house off of the side of the house and put it out. Close call...there was a few quads in my garage, John Deere, and many gas tanks.

I'm thinking all black with some chrome parts

This will give you some idea: It's not exactly where I want it, it's pretty much stock with a couple things...there's a lot I plan on changing soon (decals, fender cutting, repainting and sanding stuff, I'd like to have the frame a diff color, etc.). Just gives you an idea though. -
I'm going to go with 795s because of their [Wiseco] popularity and reputation. I just don't like to gamble.

JB weld is good up to 500 degress farenheight (constant) and 600 degrees (short period...10 minutes.) I think someone told me they used it somewhere within a car drag motor and it was fine...granted whatever he used it on couldn't be removed any longer! I think exhaust/cat converters/inside the combustion chamber it's not reccommended. But hell, if your friend will do that for free, it sounds a lot more professional, and done the right way.

+1 to the plastic. I have also heard bad things happening with the billet, as stated. It seems to me the billet one is only going to transfer the impact, while the plastic will break before that happens.

Big Scrub Florida day after Christmas

Damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm out of town. Get some pics, have a good time, and stay safe guys. Happy riding. And I'm definately down for a future HQ Florida ride...I wanted to post up about it after the holidays, early January...plan one for Spring Break ish? -
"...tired of using words..." etc.; I agree with that statement. I honestly can't say anything about 'em myself. I'd like to know what the variables are though. I'll keep lookin at 'em and see if I can find anything...

Great response, thanks for all the info sir.

Don't sell her man...you'll miss it! It's sick as HELL anyways. -
I'm going to do the 4 mil and porting all together (need to save the money first)...and I might as well so I can rebuild it too. I just need to compile what all I have to do.

http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=105503 I found this with some more info. Sounds like 115 is the way to go! What things have to be done to a stock bike to run the 115? --Pistons (as shown in other thread) --Port Cases? (I have no idea, just askin) --Cut head and domes (who does this?) --Don't run a spacer plate.

@Infamous - How do you like the CPIs over the T6s? @98 - Are you selling the T6s for a new exhaust? -
I hear that! Wait for the nerds to figure it out, lol. Then you can just pay one of them / buy something from them to mod it. I can almost guarantee it will be a chip or drive. Who knows...people will probably be running full operating systems on them within a year or two.
-
From what I hear the gains you'd experience from swapping out carbs would be minimal. Now if you do portwork, you'll definately want to get new carbs (reccommended by your builder, probably in the neighborhood of 33-35mm PWK). And if you do port work and carbs....reeds & cage will help too.
-
So what's involved with going to the short set up? And the long? IE, case porting, specific pistons, machining head/domes, etc. I need to choose a crank for my next mod, but I dont know all of this stuff.

Are you sure the DVD isn't region free? Edit- Nevermind, I looked it up. http://bluray.liesinc.net/ It's not. I don't think there are any hacks for the PS3 yet...and if you figure out how to, it will probably just cripple your drives lol. You can modify certain DVD players though to play all regions...I think the Panasonic BD30 or BD35 are the easiest. I'm not sure how you would do it in a PS3...I think it's really f*ing locked down. So, at the moment it seems impossible. Give it some time, I guarantee something will come out. Probably a replacable drive, or mod chip.
-
Go the extra step...get the head and domes, and it will give it a BIG boost.
-
With the way the emissions laws are going, it would be 100% useless. Of course they can do that...but why? They have no reason to... No one wants the dirty, loud, annoying, smoke pouring two stroke motors anymore...except for us.
-
I started off with a 100% stock bike, and am trying to build it into a beast basically. I think once it's built to where I want it, I won't ride it as much, and will probably store it more than ride it, actually. That being said...I want to continue building this specific motor, instead of buying a new one and dropping it in. I want to do all the work I can myself. Does this sound like a good plan? 1. Send the top end out for porting. 2. Rebuild the top end. 3. Throw the new carbs on. 4. Throw the 4 mil crank in. (Should I have it welded?) When should/does the cases have to be ported?
-
I know that at that point it might lose a lot of its trail potential...but I do a lot of open ended ripping around. Anything mid-top I think would suit my needs. If you have a better suggestion by all means shout it out. I'd rather get what is going to be best for me, and explore all my options. What I don't want is low end. (And I do race the 1/8th mile for fun from time to time... but I don't want to be a complete dragger to where I can't do any woods work.)
-
Good deal, thanks guys. Once I get all this power I'll probably make the gears taller...I don't think the bike would run good the way it is now, with taller gears. EDIT- I don't think I need a cub yet...not sure that would be very woods friendly, lol. When I decide to do dragging I'll shoot up to the cub.

Wow guys, thanks for all the posts! Tons of great info and I wasn't expecting all these pics! I'm leaving on vacation soon, so I'll decide how I want to cut them when I come back.
