  1. Just wondering the best spot to purchase factory banshee parts, such as factory yamaha bolts, etc.? Thanks.
  2. Bump! Hoping to get this figured out today and get my bike running. Anyone?
  3. Are your Shearer's this tight to the air filter? (I'm connecting the stingers/silencers directly to the frame)
  4. I'm having some trouble getting my sb inframe shearers to fit with my air filters. Anyone have any pics of their shearer setup they could share?
  5. Any ideas where I can find these pipe "socks/tubes" as shown in the photo. Thanks.
  6. Hi Guys, Is anyone running K&Ns filter/outwear setup with a cub/vforce reeds/upp intakes/39mm carbs and a set of small bore in frame older (nickel?) shearers? (I having trouble getting filters that fit) Here is the K&N filter that is supposed to fit (by my measurements, it may not - that's why I'm posting): http://67.199.65.66/cascade_innovations/newlook/store/single_Item_Display.cfm?STORE_item_ID=1689&department_id=103&area_id=13&search=k&n Attached is a my problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  7. Hi - I'm running the following: Sheerer smallbore inframes with 39mm pwk carbs on a 421 cub setup. Space is very tight. What size & type of filter would you guys recommend? Thanks.
  8. Awesome - thanks for the link! Man this fella is talented!
  9. That's it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!! What a wicked paint job. Holy crap.
  10. took a peak and I don't see it... It was in an airbrushing thread on bhq...
  11. I've been trying to find a post on BHQ that has an amazing airbrushed hornet on the side of a gas tank. I've search and cannot find it. Does anyone know where this thread went? Thanks.
  12. Thanks Guys! - the screw trick worked. (and I drained the oil prior to do this - chuckle)
  13. Hi There - How do I go about removing the oil seal around the location where the shifter goes into the case? (It's leaking a small amount of oil so I need to replace it.) Thank you.
  14. No - 10 or 15 minutes run time. I think it was messed when I bought it. It had 20cc domes with 4.5 degrees timing running pump fuel. Yep, getting it replated for standard 68mm bore. So, it sounds like that combination was prone for problems. Thank you.
  15. Hi - the intended use of the bike is: a) Primarily trailing (hitting local gravel pits, running rail beds, etc.) When I am fortunate enough, hitting Silver Lake and maybe even Glamis at the end of this summer. (this is very periodic though) Very gunshine after having ridden the bike for only 10-15 and discovering the plating issue. Reliability is key. Looking to under tune and then go up from there. Thanks!
  16. Hi Guys, I've got a 421 Cheetah Cub with a 4mil stroker crank that I am putting back together after getting it replated at Millenium. (the cause of the flaking is believed to be a plating failure.) What is a reliable setup? (i.e., timing, domes, etc.) I'm running 100 meters above sea level, +10 degrees to +30 degrees and I want to run pump fuel. 92 to 94 octane, running Klotz. Any rebuild advice is appreciated (i.e., engine brake lube, engine breakin advice?) Thank you.
  17. Hi Guys, What base gasket should I run with the cub jugs? I've heard Kometick is one of the only companies that make these gaskets? Part #: c7316 Part #: c7366 (high compression gasket) Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Doug.
  18. Update: The jugs have been sent down to Millenium - The word is that the plating failed as a number of you had suggested. They do not feel that it is a detonation issue. If it was detonation they informed that the following would have occurred: 1) Pitting around the top of the head 2) Piston would show signs of melting on top Having said this, I'd like to run at a very safe compression level. What do you guys suggest in terms of a very conservative setup? 22cc domes? Also, does anyone run exhaust temperature gauges? A buddy recommended I do this as he uses it on his sleds. Thoughts? Thanks.
  19. Hey Dude - my pleasure. That bike looks awesome. I can't wait to see it.
  20. Hey guys - thanks for the info. So, sounds like: a) split the cases and check the bearings re-plate jugs (I'm on the hook for this as I bought the bike like this and didn't get receipts - yes, I know I'm an idiot). Millenium seems to be the place of choice... c) and do some more research on compression with respect to fuel being used. The original owner told me that the motor had been recently rebuilt (which it had - pictures show this). He also told me that it runs pump....this is what is so confusing...why would someone go through the pain of building the motor (hot rods 4mm crank, cub jugs, Donny Rawls porting, etc., etc and then run the wrong fuel in it...weird. Thanks again.
  21. My friend and I have had a similar problem where the throttle would stick at random, in different riding conditions. I changed my throttle cable and started running Klotz oil and the problem went away. My friend simply started running Klotz oil and this corrected his situation. I know - how the hell could the oil do this, but it's what corrected the problem in his and possibly my situation. After I inspected the old throttle cable I replaced, it appeared fine. Previously, we where both running Lucas oil, which pales in comparison to Klotz. What oil are you running?
  22. Crap, sorry, just re-read the post and realized you where referring to the domes. I am not sure - how do I tell?
  23. Are you referring to the jugs? I am not sure where they originally came from. Does Trinity have problems with there jugs?
  24. Anything gang? Any advice is appreciated. I'd love to start getting this back together ASAP.
