  1. ok, I've contacted JDS. Thanks for the help guys. I hope this fixes it.
  2. What looks like burs is actually a bit of oily gunk. I cleaned it up and took another shot. No trouble to change, just hoping to nail this problem. I can only upload a max. of 50kb total, so my images are tiny and I can only upload 1.
  3. Would really like to have heard that this was in fact the cause of the leaking oil. Don't know why it is broken...should I be checking something else? ok, oring looked fine to me though. Picture attached. Why billet? Stronger?
  4. There appears to be cracks? at each of the holes as shown in the attached photo. I don't imagine these are supposed to be there? Thanks guys, love this site.
  5. Finally got out to the garage. Not the shifter seal. As shown in attached photo, it's dry. Appears to be leaking from the two bottom bolts where the case saver bolts in. Anyone ever had this happen? Any ideas? I've never run into this before. Photo attached. thanks.
  6. Will take a look at this, but it definitely doesn't flop around. Thanks.
  7. I don't think so, but I'll have to check. Thanks!
  8. Hi there, My shifter seal is leaking. I replaced it last season and it stopped leaking. After riding most of this summer, I had to replace it again. It was fine for a while and then it started leaking. I have not hit anything that I am aware of that would bend the shifter itself and it looks fine. Any ideas? Thanks.
  9. yikes, was hoping to save this one as it's a factory yamaha decal on a 2006 SE and it's expensive, especially with the CDN dollar. if I run out of options, I'll cut it or purchase new. It's hard to believe no one has used a glue or something to just stick it back down. cheers.
  10. Does anyone on here have anything intelligent to share?
  11. Hi Guys, One of the decals on my bike is peeling and is about 1.5 inches off right now. It's getting worse the more I drive it of course. Any recommendations on how to glue this back on? What product? Thanks.
  12. So with the throttle on (socket wedged) what are you adjusting on the carb?
  13. thanks! So, no sync/vacume adjustment while at 4500rpm? This doesn't make a lot of sense, but thought I read it somewhere and wanted to confirm.
  14. I'm after the yamaha part # for the rear bolts that hold the factory plastic airbox in place. It's not on the microfiche's I'm looking at and the dealer can't find them either. I attached a pic of the microfiche with the two bolt holes circled in red.
  15. Thanks guys - off to Canadian TIre I go!
  16. Hi - What are you guys using to clean your air filter and outwear? I'm having no luck with dish soap. This stuff is sticky. Thanks.
  17. Anyone? Want to put the airbox back in and get riding. I can hear the grader on the backroad right now.
  18. Hi, Put a new throttle cable on my banshee and need to know what steps to take to properly set the carb. (all jetting, needle & float height is fine) 1. top of carb adjustments - purpose: to ensure both slides are operating at the same time? 2. Idle screw - set idle. 3. thumb throttle - to remove too much access play. 4. sync carbs at idle - What to adjust if carbs are out of sync? 5. sync carbs at 4500 rpm - What to adjust? Thanks.
  19. I'm familiar with google, thanks, but I'm looking for a recommendation from one of the veterans on bansheehq.com. Anyone?
  20. Thanks, did that, but no luck finding an 08 specific manual. I've got a bunch of manuals that cover up to 2002, I want to be certain on the jetting for an 2008. Likely 200/25 I know, but I'm helping a first time banshee rider get going and I don't want any mishaps. Any help is appreciated.
