  1. I know. Please don't shoot. I've got the following setup: Stock Motor Toomey T5 pipes/silencers Boyesen Reeds Durablue Filter with Airbox mod (in factory air box) Stock carbs (clean clean clean & replaced fuel valve because it was slightly worn) Tors removed Jetted: 280 mains 25 pilots Toomey Needle on 4th clip (from threaded end) Air screws 1.5 turns out Conditions: 13 Celcius / 55 Fahrenheit 114 metres (374 feet) above sea level and the bike has a bog & is piling up on one cylinder. I have not done a sync with the carb sync tool yet, but did the visual check. I know this isn't the same, but it's a bitch to take the factory air box off and I really thought the bike would run better than this after doing the jetting. What I am really trying to understand is how to go about diagnosing this. I think that a bog can occur in a "too rich" OR "too lean" scenario? Could this be caused by a carb sync issue? I really thought that the bike would run crisp because it is cold. Not cold enough to run lean, but definitely not on the rich side of things. Any help is appreciated.
  2. I'd like to see this too.... It would be helpful if Maier provided these photos on their site.
  3. Thanks for all the input guys. I've got some thinking to do - any pics would be appreciated. These are going on an '06 Anniv. Edition (yellow) so the heavy, blacked out boots will look awesome. The Gforce Matte black look really good: http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/43/81/257/991/-/26039/G-Force-XC-Aluminum-Wheel
  4. I want to go with black rims - has anyone painted their stock rims? Are there other options? Any pics?
  5. Good points - thanks guys!
  6. Thanks for the replies guys! I'm curious, dmcbanshee seems to be able to pull the front end of his bike up really nicely as shown in the youtube video below. (I'm aware there are plenty of modifications done to aid in this), but do the smaller tires not help to stand it up?
  7. as per subject, complete assembly: http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=YAM#/Yamaha/BANSHEE_SE_-_YFZ350SEV_-_2006/TAILLIGHT/YFZ350SEV_(2006_ALL_TERRAIN_VEHICLE)/TAILLIGHT_(YFZ350SEV_-_2006) shipped to Ogdensburg.
  8. It's time for new tires! - I have finally worn out the Maxxis Razor 20x11x9's (front/rear), but I find the rears a little big and square for what I like. I always liked stock dunlop tires for their light feel and ability to throw the bike around and not having to worry as much about catching something, but they didn't have a lot of tread/ability to hook up. I'm leaning towards a smaller tire size - maybe a holeshot? (my buddy wore his pretty quickly...) (I like the way smaller tires look on the rear & want to be able to pull the front end up a little easier - I know, there are a lot of factors which contribute to this) I've read the R 501 Ohtsu are good, but they don't allow me to drop down in size. Any thoughts/recommendations/pics for gravel road/trail/pit riding? Thanks.
  9. On the Toomey site, they state that their jet kit was developed by Dyno Jet. Is this the same company you got your jet kit from? - if I've got the company right, they charge $85.65 for their jet kit. http://www.dynojet.com/jetkits/atv/yamaha.aspx
  10. Is the best bet to get a part, such as the bumper, scanned?
  11. I need some paint for my 2006 Anniv. Edition bike (dark silver frame) - does anyone have a paint code? Thanks.
  12. - As per subject - looking for OEM Banshee Rims (front/rear) - Ideally in Canada - Excellent condition preferred. Thank you.
  13. Has anyone noticed an improvement by using the Toomey T5 jet kit VS factory jets/needle? It's $62.99 on their site....a little pricey I thought. Here are the instructions that say the use of their jet kit will yield the best performance. http://www.toomey.com/html/t5-inst.htm
  14. Hey There - I'm running a durablue air filter in a stock air box. It does come with a prefilter, but I'd prefer an outwear - is this available? is anyone running this setup? Thanks. http://www.durablue.com/class/img_popup.phpimg_url_2fuploads_2fimages_2f73__orig.jpg.htm
  15. Thanks for the reply guys. Rebuild rear shock is $75.00 - I think this is what I need...? Anyone know of a spot in Canada to send this to....or is Matt the way to go? Thanks again.
  16. I've got a works rear shock that has nothing in the cylinder.....is this supposed to be filled with air or...? The bike has sat for at least a year. Is this shocked cooked or? Thanks.
  17. Thanks Gang. I checked out the Stadium prices - definitely good. Shipping to the border is a kicker though....any spots in Canada?
  18. cool man, similar but a few differences. I think the 30 degree pods would be helpful. I'm at 20 degrees. Thanks again for the help. That pic looks amazing. I'd love to ride down there!!! If you are ever in Ontario, drop me a line.
  19. I'm also running damn tight to my rad hose...you guys must be experiencing the same thing?
  20. Currently, I have the stingers out about 1/2" from the frame (bolt not tightened). The reason I am doing this is to try and pull the tube to the stinger out towards the frame. (it goes in towards the center of the bike...doing this, pulls it away from the top of the air filter a bit..) Here's a couple pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/dougstackhouse/BansheeAnger#5631961562554673586 https://picasaweb.google.com/dougstackhouse/BansheeAnger#5631961566181581506 I'd add the pictures here, but it's a pain to resize them and they end up being darn small. I'm curious why you are saying bolt them directly to the frame? My experience (on my second set of Shearer pipes with this bike now... grrr) is that they need to be pushed out if anything....maybe your shearers are different? Any pics to share? Thanks!
  21. Hey Australia! What heads are you running? I'm running the following setup: 421 cub heads vforce reeds upp intakes 39mm pwk carbs and shortly these carbs: 3/4 x 6 - 20 Degree Angled K&N's For 38-39mm with brand new shearer inframe small bore pipes. Your setup appears to have truckloads of room, but I think you must be running smaller carbs, heads or something? Thanks for the pics!
  22. thanks for the input. I'd have to agree. Something isn't quite right here, but at least I know that other people have the same problems with these pipes. I can't wait to get it running. The build has been taken a while. I ordered up some of the heat sleeves from cascade and these filters, which will hopefully fit better. (I mention this for anyone else who may be going through the challenge of trying to get these pipes to fit.) http://67.199.65.66/cascade_innovations/newlook/store/single_Item_Display.cfm?STORE_item_ID=1689&department_id=103&area_id=13&search=k&n
  23. Hey There - it's on the outside, but I've heard that some people run the factory brackets. Do you think this would make any difference? I've attached a photo of the brackets that came on my bike when I bought it. I'm not sure what brand they are.
