Anyone up for meeting at Coal Hill sometime during the week? My brother (Cornfed396) will be out from Michigan the 13th thru the 19th. We are planning a trip anytime from Tuesday thru Friday during the day... Anyone up for it?

How is this enforeced... There was a hundred guys at Coal Hill when we were there, and I bet not a single on of them had a permit??? Not saying that is right, but its a fact... Plus I dont recall seeing a single no treaspassing sign ANYWHERE?

Dude, that sucks... Ok, to try and further rule out air/fuel before you drop $$ on a stator... Verify that that the gas cap itself is venting, and the gas cap tube is not clogged. I know this sounds dumb, and I'm not being insulting, but be sure the gas is on, if it is, try to verify the petcock is 100% operational, be sure that the gas line from the tank is not bent or kinked, also be sure where it goes from the (T) to the left and right carbs are not pushed down to far on to where it goes on the carbs as to cause to great a bend or kink in the line. If all this checks out try to verify the screen filter in the tank in not blocked. The fact that the bike runs for 3 minutes does not sound like a timing issue to me. Maybe it is the stator? There really is no way to tell unless you try swapping it. You will either have a bunch of spare parts or maybe you can sell them... I got nothin else that makes any sense for you to try. DuPont Imron paint is pretty tuff, and you cant borrow tools fom Autozone. You have to put down a deposit, but when you return them you get your card creditied back. Good luck... Remember, your finished product is only as good as your prep work...

A compression test should be done on a cold engine, wet cylinders, at WOT...

By all means fix it right, but in a pinch leaning out your mix would do the trick...

Check to see what your current compression is now... Also does it make this noise in Nuetral, or only when its in gear? Regardless metal-on-metal noise is never good. Maybe a bearing has shit the bed, ir something is your clutch has given up? I'm sure some guys on here with more experience will have some input... Dont ride it until you get it figured out or it could cost you more $$ than it might right now... Good luck! Also use the Harbour Freight tester. Although it may not be accurate it will give you an indication on whether or not your are losing compression based on the previous readings you took with it...

If you were Rich you could have "slightly" adjusted your pre-mix... Like if you were running 32:1 you could have tried 40:1 to help with it a bit... Glad you had fun and didnt ruin anything.
