  1. Coil or CDI box. My $$ is on the CDI...
  2. He is a fat ass
  3. marginally...
  4. I cant believe I am reading this... :ermm:
  5. What type of noise exactly?
  6. If you blew it up to the point its not running and you have spark plug damage you will know it when you see it. If anything came apart internally dont run it any more than you have to, in fact if you know you broke something DONT run it at all. If you have cylinder wall damage you are looking at honing if not boring, new pistons rings, etc... Have them ported while they are out if they are not already and go with forged pistons. Good luck... Hope you get er running soon!
  7. It might be a combo of both. I would try the airscrews first to see if you can find a happy medium, but you might have to bump the pilots... Good luck...
  8. I was just up there two weeks ago and DID see cops in a MULE UTV on the top, and a SUV driving up behind the hill on Coal Street. There were probably 100 bikes and quads there... I dont know who was rockin permits (I wasnt, and didnt know you needed them), but I did NOT see anyone being messed with. xxXBlessedXxx, PABANSHEEMATT, Pinned, REALTREE, do any of you guys know the deal with the "crackdown"? I plan on coming back up, but with a 2 hour drive I dont want to have to cut it short? Any insight would be great? Also are there any similar type places to ride up in the region?
  9. The UFO's didnt look bad. Can you get that stupid logo off without dicking up your plastics?
  10. My brother "cornfed396" said he had a set of the RAZR's and he liked them, but they wore twice as fast as the HD's he had. They were toast in like 1 season but hooked up like mad.
  11. You can mix fronts and backs... Full bores are all one piece in the front minus the grill I'm pretty sure... Just dont mix any plastics with the Raptor style plastics... lol
  12. All I have are stock parts as I thake them off and get my goodies so I have nothing ot offer there, but I could kick in a few bucks... I also would like to know how I could buy a raffle ticket as well for a chance to win the beauty!?...
  13. Yep, FMF... less than $5 bucks each...
  14. Ouch! It dont sound good. Pull the head and take a look. Can you pull the motor and take it to where you live if you have to work on it. That way you are not hurring through it...
  15. 93 oct on +4... I'd keep an eye on it. Also I agree 60:1 even with a good synthetic oil??? I wouldnt risk it... I personally run 32:1 and am jetted accordingly...
  16. I read somewhere (cant remember) that 32:1 is a good break-in mixture...
  17. You could buy a flobee and cut your own hair too... But WHY man WHY... Send them bitches out. lol  I hear its well worth the $$... But hey if you gots the tools and the talent? Just my .02
  18. This does not 100% sound like air/fuel to me... Do you have any way to test another Stator/Coil/CDI.. You may be getting spark, but under load it may be partially failing. I have heard of stators flaking out after they get warmed up? Sorry I dont have much more to add... Good luck. When you get it figured out, and you will be sure to tell us what it was that caused you these woes...
  19. Do a search on member BenBB. Click on a recent post of his and open the link in his signature to Electrical FAQ... All you need to know. Good luck.
  20. A good point in all this is this: If you change your pre-mix ratio you may need to adjust your jetting. Good to point that out. I do disagree that a "stock" banshee for the most part is 100% om on 93 Oct. I would say race fuel would be a bit of a waste. But to each his own... It cant hurt and smells good!
  21. Sounds similar to a problem I had. Verify you are getting spark to both plug wires. If so be sure that when you put the gas lines back on each carbs you did not push the line down so far that it kinda kinked the line. Where the gas line comes dowm from the tank to the (T) and splites off to the left and right carbs, these lines are kind of short. If you push them down really far on the tits off of the carbs you can get them tight and kind of pinch them. That could starve fuel out of the bowl after running it. If this is not the issue pull the right carb off and look/feel/whatever with your fingers and flashlight to see if that reed is broken or cracked. If that is not it be sure, and I know you said you did, but check that the needle and, main jets are not clogged. Also try your best to verify your float height and that its not sticking closed preventing fuel flow. Stuff like this is alwats something stupid. Good luck... Oh if you want to just go through the motions take off your stator cover and verify #1 its not all wet in there, and #2 verify your pickup coil gap, #3 then try swapping the left plug wire to the right side to rule out bad plug wire or cap. You may indeed get spark, but under load it may cut out or not be enough. Hope you get it running.
  22. Higher compression engines run more efficiently with higher octane fuels becuase these fuels burn slower and more efficiently. By doing this, they help avoid detonation or knock/ping. If you are running 89 oct, and your engine is not knocking or pinging then you should be fine. For the few extra cents you may want to just use 93 oct becuase is does burn cleaner as in efficient and maybe "maybe" get a bit more life and efficiency/power out of your engine and parts. But I do know guys that run 89 with no problems... Also bumping up octane should not effect your jetting. If you advance the timing or compression you would want to consider higher octane fuels.
  23. How much for the frame, Powercore & Silencers, and the PRM Skidder? If you are from the Coal Region I can pick them up... PM ME please with price...
  24. You smoked it like Dr. Dre smokes the chronic...
  25. Actually check the gas cap vent as well. Did you make sure the choke tube between the 2 carbs was securley in place like the other guys said? Also just to be sure throw in a new set of plugs. Its worth the 4 bucks... Good luck man!
