Thats a good point. Im just assuming he places an order to elka when he needs a set of shocks for a customer. Maybe his biz is big enough to keep 30 different sets of Elkas in inventory. Prolly not. Prolly the best way to buy Elkas would be the way PTT did. Direct from Elka. Bypass the middleman.

Im pissed about the steelers game. they're my team. phillys second fav so I'll be rootin for the eagles in the SB. Roeslisslissburger played better in the second half . Who gonna win the SB ?? I think the Pats are going to lose 37-17. Eagles go all the way this year, no doubt. They're on a mission, plus T.O. will be playing.

I got my Janssen A-arms and swingarm just a few days after I order'd em. I bought my A-arms first and a few weeks later I had enough cash to buy my Elkas. I bought my Elka's though Janssen and they took a hellava long time to arrive. A few weeks. So all the Janssen parts were delivered immediatly.... but the Elka's took awhile to arrive. Iv read other guys askin' about why it takes Elka so long to hook up thier customers. You'd think Janssen would have a few Elka's in stock at his shop, but there are so many different ATV modles, so many different weight and A-arm geometery setups, there's no way he could keep twenty or so $800 a set shocks in his inventory. So he orderes um from Elka when he gets an order. Elka is the one that causes these delays.

Hipers !! Agreed carbon fiber rims are the shiznight

OOOooo so you have a billet stator cover huh. And it let water in. damn. I'v heard of stock ones doing that. Some guys were puttin' drain holes and vent tubes in thier stock stator cover. My Banshee boggs like hell whenever I get it wet and everyone says its water getting to the carbs, but I think the bogging feels and sounds more like its not getting spark.... possibly from water in my stator cover. Well I always ran a open airfilter\Toomey 2:1 UNI and one day last summer I decided to take it off and put the airbox back on. I run with the lid off, a uni in the box with an outerwear and a billet filter plate. I can splash through the water now without it cutting out\bogging anymore . I feel alot more confident with the mud and water with that airbox back on.

I gotta get ya a picture of the Hipers. They're pretty neat. Got black beadlock rings. speaking of pictures, I seen your 2 threads of your race pictures. Mud sucks, I'm not much of a mudrider myself. Something I'm going to have to get better at. I usually avoid all mud and water on the trails cause my Banshee does the infamous Banshee carb bog\rev when you get it wet. So I'm a master puddle dodger and not much of a mudster . Sucks about the DNF tho. shit happens, make the best of it and learn something from it. My districts first race is coming up soon. Feb 6th and its at a track about 40 miles away from my front porch. I won't have my 250r ready in time, but my yellow 404 is ready to go, sorta. Its at 50 inches wide

Round 11 Sept 24/25 Unadilla Valley Sports Center New Berlin, NY The Unadilla race is going to be the shiznit this year. I definetly want to head up to Unadilla to spectate and maybe possibly race it. Its the first year for GNCC at Unadilla, it should be a good one.

Johnny G. says: Jeff Stoess says: Laz Sommers says: But ya gotta remember, these guys are racing real tight, techical east coast GNCCs. You guys racing in the desert @ fast & wide-open tracks or dry\mudless tracks can get away with running a wider front end. BTW I just got my 4-1 HiPer wheels in the mail today

Anyone looking to buy a used 7mm stroker crank Im going to be selling mine on Ebay in a few weeks. Just thought I'd give yas a heads-up so you can ponder owning a 7mm stroker Banshee. Its ready to drop in your cases. Case's will need trenched for this crank. Its got 5mm long rods too. The clucth side of the crank uses a TZ bearing that uses roller bearings instead of ball bearings. its a nice crank and its within all tolerances. Start saving your pennies now, its going on Ebay in a few weeks. I have pictures I'll post. Any questions just ask.
-
Na, cause I dont' have any racing experience yet. I buy the majority of my parts "used" on Ebay. Used ebay parts can be had for 50% off if you use Ebay so Ebay is my current sponsor so to speak

do you have a list of everything you need ? If so, post it. Do you have enough Roll offs\tear offs ?? Double check all the front suspension nuts and bolts. folding chairs gas ama and district cards if the track requires em. Camelback full of liquid. camera Everyone tells me to drink a ton of water the days just before the race. Ride smooth and smart. don't kill yourself on the first lap. And dont forget to turn the gas "on" . Our first race is coming up on Feb 6th, I won't have my quad ready and frankly I don't care cause I don't wanna race in muddy ice and snow for my first race . Good luck with the race and represent that Banshee for us.

Here the exhaust flanges on mine. washers used for the pipe spring loop. works good and looks good.
-
So your wondering if Rockets have O-rings, Id pm Minkia38 if he doesnt reply here. He sells the Rocket pipes. If the rockets dont have the O-rings, and they move on the flange, you could probably stop em from leaking with a little extra "Ultra Copper" exhaust sealer. You'd think the o-ringed pipes would have the same ID as non o-ring pipes. How did you make the loops for the pipe spring clamps ?

Frist of all you need to find some local tracks that XC race quads. Then you'll need to ask the track officials if you need a local "district" card and\or an "AMA" card. Most tracks require both memberships. You should start out in any of the "C" classes. Different tracks have different classes, so pick the approprate C class. Once you figure out what district your racing, you should be able to find the districts website and find season schedules, you can race a single race or you can race a whole season racking up points.

I signed up. Denny from Treverton

Anyone sick of owning a banshee
Meat replied to Bansheeman1121's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I got an 18\19 year old Rz350 with 11,400 miles on it. Original set of pistons and crank. And while most of my riding is crusin' to work at 55mph, I do like to zip around town with it, revving the engine to 7 or 8 grand before I shift, wheelie coming outta stoplights etc etc. Runs great for me. My Banshee motor was last built in 2001 and it gets riden alot. Tore the top end apart last springtime right before Coalfest because I wanted to visually inspect the rings and both pistons look great with one ring sligtly stuck in the groove. I didn't rebuilt it and put it back together and ran it the rest of the year with no problems except for a little smoke on the stuck ring side when the engine is cold. 160psi in the juggs on a 3+ year old engine. Im not sayin' these engines are bulletproof cause iv had my share of headaches at first, but I wouldnt lie about the two paragraphs I wrote above. Take that info for what its worth. -
ha, no we dont have billions and billions, the fact is we are in a record level debt and heading towards financial collapse Just was on the news that other countries were complaining were not giving enough money and the reporter said with our record level debt the USA can't give as much as everyone thinks we can.

Ahhh lighten up on him, he's only 13 or 14 yrs old and he's just having fun bullshittin' about quads on an ATV forum. Humor him, don't be hatin'.
