The stuff I buy is actually called aircraft remover, picked it up at wal mart. 9 bucks for a pretty big can.
I just stripped my sprocket hub and 450 hubs of their powdercoat in about 5 minutes, didn't use a whole lot either.
Did your friend ride the bike before it was brought back to you?? If it came straight from the dealer to you, I'd be loading it back up and making them do it correctly.
I was having the same problem with mine, weak to no spark, cold exhaust, and a bog just like in your video. It sounds like it's not firing on the one cylinder, check the coil. I swapped my coil out with a buddies and it fixed the problem.
His krylon fusion plastic painting business didn't pan out too well, I'm guessing?
Look at how awesome joe's painted signature is on the garage wall, he rocks.
I've got a silver set I just took off my personal bike last night and swapped with 450 arms. They're from a 1995, ball joints are nice and tight, threads are clean, and the boots are not torn.
PM me your email and I'll get you some pics and give you details.
I would recommend using the 450 calipers, the stopping power is by far superior. They mount up to the banshee spindles just fine so I don't see why they wouldn't work the other way around. I don't know why you'd wanna upgrade your front end and leave the stock calipers on.
I was wondering the same thing. I am having the same problem but my left side is still sparking, just a weak spark. My right side runs and idles fine, but the left only fires sporadically and when I rev it it runs better.
