I hear you with the dirt bike to quad thing. I raced harescrambles for years on all kinds of dirt bikes then I would ride a quad here and there. It took me a while to really get the hang of switching between the two. It really comes down to practice and finding your happy spot on the thing. By the way if you can post some more pics of your track it looks pretty cool. Wish my track was still in shape to ride on.

Try and have someone video tape you riding and ask them to focus on your turns. Then watch to see if you can see a difference in your riding postion between the left and right turns. It helped me out alot when I was racing to just watch myself. Also just practice one turn at a time. Just keep hitting the right hander until you feel like your getting it then go and hit the whole track and see if its better or not. How long have you been riding anyways?

Ok. I got the damn thing off. It only took a 50 ton press and and a torch. I love how the manual say to just pull the thing off. Oh well its all good now and I can start putting it back together :biggrin: Thanks for the help guys

I tried a hammer and a puller and then a press with no luck. I did soak the hell out of the thing. Only thing I didnt try is heat but I dont have a torch only a heat gun(That will take me a year to heat up). Yes I did take off the nuts they came off in 2 minutes.

I'm trying to replace my axle and I cant get the damn sprocket hub off. I tried pullers and a press with out any luck. Is there a trick that I'm missing or what? Please help me out because I just got new +2 +1 arms and Elka shocks that I want to try out but this F-ing axle has me locked up ::

I quit two years ago for my son. I watched my parents smoke all of the time around me growing up. It killed me and when they quit I started( I think there is something to that second hand smoke sh*t). When my wife got pregnant I decided to quit. I went with the patch and it worked great. I think the biggest thing was getting out of the habit of smoking when I did certain things like drinking and working out in the garage.

Make sure your gas line is flowing good. Check and make sure all of your vent lines are clear and open. Adjust your floats make sure they are set right. Put new plugs in. Also check and make sure your gas cap vent is working right (try taking off your gas cap and rev it up) Also is your gas good? Check your intakes and air boots and make sure they are not cracked

Is that what you have right now? If so that should be fine but I would go up some. Did you check your floats? When you are snapping open the throttle is the shee totally warmed up?

Hey man. Check and make sure your floats are set right and that both carbs are the same. Also check that your choke tube is connected. Maybe lean out your needle jet 1 clip if all else checks out

What are you asking for the engine?

Ok. I'm retarded. I went and tried to find that pic and I saw the 2 million hits on how its a spoof. I thought I saw it some where else. Plus I didnt know about the dirt wheels thing until I just got this aprils issue. So you guys can point and laugh at the village idiot ::

I saw pics of the concept "500 Banshee" in a mag. It was a press release photo from Yamaha that just said it was a twin 4-stroke in an updated frame and plastics. It looked sick as hell. If I didnt see it in a mag i wouldnt believe it. I wish I could remember were I saw it. It might have been a Motorcycist (the ama mag) or a streetbike mag. It was a concept not a production photo so dont think it coming out the next two weeks or something. Might never come out

One day I had a guy come to my house and tell me that his stock 07 crapter would whoop the sh*t out of my shee. All I could do was laugh at him. I told him flat out that yeah you will beat me the first 3 gears but after that its going to be good bye. So the guy starts saying that I'm full of it and that his crapter is the fastest thing out there. Now I never race on the road ( too many cops and retarded drivers) but he got me so pissed that I said lets go. We went out and got going with him a little in front of me. First 3 gears hes staying about the same distance in front then we shift into 4th and I fly past him. Well I get it into 5th and look back hes at least 50 yards behind flat out and I still got a gear to go. So we get back to my house and he starts with the excuses. He tries telling me that if he had an exhaust he would beat me. What a dumbf**k. I think the topper was he tried telling me that he was going to be sponsered by suzuki to race mx but he never raced before. That is the type of person that buys 4 strokes and think they are the greastest things ever

I was wondering because I know couple years ago Yamaha was using a longer rod with a plate on the yz250s. The mags said it really made a difference in the power (not really more hp but a different power delivery). I was wondering if the same thing happened in the shee. Thanks guys

Hey guys. This is for the engine guys out there. I was wondering what the power difference is between a stock engine, a long rod engine, and a stroker engine are. Take into account that the shee is stock except for open air box, vforces, and T-6s.

Sweet. Thanks guys. I'm kind of new to quad suspension and reading all of the threads helped alot with picking out what arms and shocks I wanted. So I hope I'm not being a total newbie. I have been racing and riding bikes for about 18 years but never got real into the quad thing until a couple of years ago. So once again thanks alot and thanks for such a great site

Yeah glad that worked for you. Just check your plugs and see how its running now. I ended up leaning out the needle a little from what toomey sad. I forget what clip postion I have though

I use Golden Spectro 80w Gear Oil. You have to watch what you put in because some oils have chemicals that eat up cluth plates or make them slip like all hell

If your breaking up 3/4 to top its main jet. Get that main up and try it. How does it run from 1/4 to 3/4? That will be your needle
