  1. Damn, wish I had 4g's. No doubt this thing would be mine. Got any pics of it for the people that actually have money?
  2. I thought the only monoblocks that they sell are Cheetah Cubs.
  3. if you're just trying to kill it, Ospho. It kills rust and primes it. It's a green liquid. You have to wear dish washing gloves and preferably a mask when you use it. It will burn your skin and singe your nose hairs.
  4. ok, yea that'll make 'em wet. Well, check those thing before you go ripping it apart. If you do need to rebuild, why don't you just re-sleeve the jugs that you have?
  5. First off, make sure it's getting spark. Just pull a plug, put the wire on it, and put it up against the engine. Have someone else kick it, and see if it's sparking. It should be a blue spark. If it's orange or yellow, you have a different problem. Then check the compression with a gauge. Compression should be no less than 120ish. Take both plugs out, put the tester in either spark plug hole, hold the throttle wide open, and kick it until the tester stops moving up. Should be at least 15-20 kicks. If it's less than 120ish, time to rebuild the top end. And you said it's getting fuel. Too much, but it's getting it. The plugs should be chocolate brown. Black and wet is too rich. That might be a problem. Flooding or making it load up. If you have all 3 things, it should at least fire up. Do you have any mods done to it? Do you still have TORS?
  6. Adjust the clevis coming out of the master cylinder. Adjust it outward, so it will push up on the pedal. Just don't adjust it so far that it puts pressure to the rear brake.
  7. I see where you're coming from, but it's just a stock replacement bearing. Right? Nothing high performance about that.
  8. I have Pro-Taper SE bars. They're pretty inexpensive, and feel good.
  9. I don't understand what you're asking. But if you have a stock mounting plate, just bolt it on. The bolt holes set it at 0*.
  10. I am pretty sure that you use the Blaster cable. I think xXBlessedWithDeathXx uses this setup. PM him, I'm sure he can tell you for sure.
  11. Why does ProDesign suck? They're the same exact thing as the boss intake. They also have built in crossover tubes. I have one in the garage. They look identical.
  12. Maybe you can let them gravity bleed. Just open the bleeder valve and take off the resevoir cap. Put a catch pan under the brake caliper so it doesn't go everywhere. Keep an eye on it, and keep filling up the resevoir whenever it starts getting low. Let it bleed itself for at least 30 minutes. Don't worry, you won't be wasting alot of fluid. Gravity bleeding is a SLOW process. A plus side to it, you'll be getting all of your old burnt fluid out. I used to do it on Dodge's with ABS, if I didn't have the right OBD-II chip. Or, whenever I don't have someone elso to help me.
  13. You might check stupid stuff too. Like free stuff. Make sure the plugs for the ignition and kill switch are 1-plugged in, 2-not corroded, 3-no broken pins. Pull the stator cover, and make sure no moisture is in there, and it's gapped right. It should be 0.020. Make sure the wires are in good shape and plugged going to the coil, rectifier, and stator. Do you still have TORS?
  14. Here, I'll start the bidding. $50+shipping. And you can keep the coolhead, reed spacers, BOOST bottle, carbs and intake, crank, pistons, and electrical. I just want the cases and jugs. EDIT: Actually, I don't even want the jugs. Just cases.
  15. Rotors have nothing to do with the offset of your rims. They just bolt to the inside of your hubs. You could get a different offset rim, or flip the rims that you got. But remember, doing that will put more pressure on your bearings. If you flip your rims, you have to turn your valve stem around, so it goes inside the rim. That keeps it from getting ripped off by the brakes/steering knuckle/tie rod. Or, you could put a bolt through it with rubber washers on both sides. Then you have to drill new holes for valve stems on the side that now faces outward. That's what I did to mine. It adds a couple of inches to the width of the front end. I have yet to have a bearing fail.
  16. Boss or ProDesign. Both are good intakes. If you want a 2-1, I think Trinity is the only one for that, that's decent anyway.
  17. I gotcha. Besides making sure an engine has a proper air/fuel mixture, isn't that the carburators other main function? To atomize the air/fuel? One would think that a smooth flow would make more power. Make it more efficient. Not tryin to be a smartass, just tryin to learn something. I got what you're saying about the exhaust, though.
  18. Don't know what to tell ya then, other than get out the torch, grinder, and welder. Make your own. If the shit gets too deep, make a snorkel to go with it. lol.
  19. Here ya go. It has slotted mounting holes, for different intakes/carb setups. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...sQ5fAccessories
  20. I seen a pretty badass aluminum one on eBay yesterday. Give me a minute, and I'll see if I can find it again.
  21. Did you notice any difference after polishing them? You would think so. Kinda like porting and polishing a set of car heads.
  22. HotRods +4 stroker, and some Weisco pistons. Can't go wrong with that man. Huge power difference over the stock stroke. Especially if you get the cylinders ported. Shit and gets, and great for a trail setup. And don't let people tell you it ain't reliable, cause it is. As fas as I'm concerned, it's more reliable than a stock motor. I ride mostly nothing but fast/aggressive trails, and it works good for me. I'm like Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor, so I have plans for a +10 stroker. But a +4 doesn't require any case machining. Put it in, and go............. Remember, if you get it stroked, you need to at least get the ports cut 2mm's up and 2mm's down, and have the head machined so the pistons don't smack it. Or, you could just get a spacer plate, to avoid the head problem.
  23. Are you partial to the airbox? If you don't ride where it's muddy, I would lose it and get some pods and Outerwears.
  24. or maybe Weisco had a bad batch come off the line. anybody know of any recalls lately?
  25. Especially when all the gas comes off the same ship. Here, we have all the big name gas retailer's all on the water, and they're all next door to each other. One ship unloads gas to all of them.
