I own both and like riding either. I will say however I got 1 good run in this last weekend. Guy rolls up on a brand new 700 Raptor. I was chilling at the bottom watching and he says you wanna run? I said sure, we lined up and it was dead even until I hit 3rd and pulled him by about 3 bike lengths. I turn around on top, he comes up and says " gotta hand it to you, 2 stroke pulls it off again. Good race thanks" and rides off. After that it was every dick on the hill wanted to talk shit. I was done for the day and on my way back was when my little electrical mishap happened and it didn't run for shit after that. I ran maybe 10 times with a shitty running bike and yes I got beat by everything but Blasters and a Polaris Sportsman 600 4x4 ( all of my buddies were fucking around one night and these are what they ride), I never lost by more than 2 lengths. But you could see the arrogance in these assholes. They wouldn't even come BS with us.

Not sure. I have a serious Frankenbike going on. It is registered as a 96 but has 03 running gear and swingarm. I checked the brakes for a stop light switch and have none. i am going to check for power on each when I get home and see what either does.

Well that's what I kinda figured. It's the ground that mounts right to the CDI/voltage regulator. I weigh in at 265 and run 20" 8 paddle Extremes. I couldn't see how it wouldn't be able to pull 3rd up the hill with me on it. Also, I hooked up the ground yesterday and noticed I still have 3 wires left. I have no taillight right now so I assume black is the ground for that, but I still have a yellow wire and a blue wire. Which is for the taillight and what is the other for?

I had to send it to my wife. She keeps bugging me about her getting a boob job.

So I went out to Hot Wells this weekend. My Shee runs great before we leave to go to the dunes. Get there still runs great and I am out tearing up the small dunes and it just dies. I thought i had hit the kill switch on accident but it still wouldn't fire. My wife pulls up and points to the ground and there is my CDI box and voltage regulator and wires laying there. The fucking bracket broke off the frame and got caught in the chain. So I reconnect the plugs and hold on to the whole setup ( while getting shocked to shit ) and rode back to camp. I fix it all temporarily and the bike runs fine but is harder to start. I go to run the hill and every run I get into 3rd and it starts to bog like it's running out of fuel. I downshift to 2nd and it starts to pull again all the way up. I noticed when I got home that I didn't get 1 of the grounds by the CDI remounted, would this cause the problem? Maybe the bike can't pull my big ass up the hill in 3rd? Checked plugs and they are brown. I am running 89 mixed 32:1 Klotz Super Techinplate, CPI BB in frames, +4 timing, Pro Flow intake ( no box ), 350 mains otherwise stock. It runs fine flat but put it on a hill and it goes to crap. I got tired of getting beat by 450r's and LTZ450's so I stayed away from the hill after the first 2 days.

Not to mention tearing intake boots and rubbing through hoses and cables.

BR8ES ( I have 4 bikes that use them )

No keys + No title = sounds stolen. Hell part it out and make some cash.

I agree except the bug headlights, I have them on mine ( if you are talking about the Trail Tech ) and love them. I do hate the fact that I don't have High/Low beams.

I agree and disagree with the straight axle comments. Yes they are strong, alot cheaper to lift and overall a more simple design. However, I have had 5 different people in my truck that own lifted Furds and Dodges that thought my truck rode like a Cadi vs. their bricks. Everybody is going to have an opinion, but neither of the 3 build their own engines. But, Banks now owns the world record with a Dmax and I won't give mine up for nothing. You get a pretty good feeling taking a lifted 7000+ lb truck and smoking ricers, stangs etc. Plus the I have the new Ally 6 spd. with the manual option, pretty dang cool shifting with a switch when in manual. Like I said, get what you like, what you can afford and what fits your needs. If you like it, fuck everybody else. They are probably just jealous LOL.

I never said over 20 with a 5.3. I said my wifes truck gets 17-18 on 35's with a 5.3. My best is 20.4 highway in my 2500. But usually around 15ish in town.
-
Spend a little time researching these trucks, and you will see I for 1 am not out of my mind. It is very common for Duramaxs to get 20+ MPG when setup right. I have 36's but also 4.56 gears ( back to stock ratio now ) + 4" straight pipe with no Cat + the programmer. You want as little proof of mileage spend some time on Dieselplace.com. You can learn alot on the 6.0 also.

Hell I get 14-15 in town in my big ass diesel. My wife drives an 01 1500 4x4 on 35's and she get's 16-17 in town. Her truck has 4.56 gears and Flowmaster exhaust, other than that it's stock.

I am a Chevy guy 100% ( own 3 lifted trucks ). Every vehicle will have it's bugs, that's a given. Just do some research and see what fits your needs and budget. I have nothing but good things to say about GM trucks.

In Az all you need is 1 mirror, a horn, tailight and low beam DOT headlights. Stops and turns can use handsignals.

If you don't find out by this afternoon, I can measure both of mine.

Dremels are a god send. I have 2 and use them all the time. -
Lucky bastard LOL. Maybe when I win the lottery. They are sweet bikes.

I got lucky at work. My web access was strictly weather based only. I ended up having to access a website daily for a new pretrip program so they had to give me near full access. Problem is if it filters sports, entertainment etc Websense blocks the site. BHQ and E2S are okay but PS is blocked.

Cool, I can get on at home with no problem now. Thanks Lee. -
I was wondering the same thing for a future build. So I guess I don't need to ask it now.
-
Mine were custom painted and the only real issues so far is around the mounting bolts on the rear plastics. It is cracking and coming off from the flexing at the mounting points.

Picture a flat chested female holding pancakes where her fun bags should be. ( hint: flat and floppy LOl )

We either use a jig saw with a metal blade ( finer cuts but go slow to keep from clogging the teeth )or an air cut off tool and then used a 1/4 sheet flat sander to smooth the edges. 400 grit works nice for this.
