Did the cable brake? Pull the lever and look at the clutch arm under the left carb and see if it is moving, if it is pull your clutch cover off and see whats going on with your clutch.

Brake lights started in '02, yes it will work with the front or rear brake's.

It will most likely need smaller jets. What is your current jetting? A stock bike with fmf's and k&n's should be around 270 main.

If your plugs are white your lean, do a plug chop and check for air leaks. What size pilots and where is your air screw set?

The 4mill may be rich. I think i ended up at 155 or 158 (cant remember it may even be lower than that). If its rich it wont rev out like you are saying.

I'de start around 320 main 27.5 pilot.
