  1. I don't think its a jet or needle issue. If it ran before with the current jetting is should run now with only a rebuild. Make sure your bowls are on the correct carb and as stated check your slides, make sure the chock tube is in, its the black rubber hose that goes between the carbs on the and connects the them. Not the metal tube that goes in your intakes.
  2. What is your elevation, mods, current jetting, have you done a compression test, when did it start doing this?
  3. 3-4 kicks is normal, do a compression test to see if it needs rebuilt. Are the plugs wet after kicking on it for awhile? Pull a plug and make sure its getting fire. Are you sure everything is put together corectly?
  4. You changed the top end early to keep it on stock bore?? Rebuild because it needs it or your just throwing money away. Start with your basics, are you getting fuel and spark? Is the choke tube in place (small black tube that conects the carbs)?
  5. It should have a hole drilled so you can see the slide and tapped for a screw. Check the other side of the carb and see if they drilled the wronge side.
  6. They are stock carbs. Looks like you are missing an idle screw, it is to the left of the fuel inlet on the left carb. Look to see if that hole has been drilled and tapped for a screw if it has you may have an air leak witch can cause it to be lean. If you don't have a sync tool you should get one makes it alot easier to sync them. On stock carbs you can sync them another way. Look at the right side of the carbs you will see a small window, with the motor off hold the throttle wide open, the slides have a small hole in them that should line up with those windows.
  7. Most likely pilot jets are pluged. Take the carbs apart pull the jets out and clean them, make sure to clean all the small holes in the pilots, take compressed air to the carbs and jets. The gas is probably seperated, I would drain the old gas and mix a fresh batch for it.
  8. I have a new set of dune runners. Pm me if interested.
  9. Carbs are probably pluged from old gas, take them apart and clean the jets. Take a compressor or a small piece of wire to the small holes in the pilot jets. Im sure the gas is sperated from sitting that long, you need to mix some fresh gas and put in it.
  10. Backfiring is normally a sign of a lean condition. Check for air leaks the intake boots are bad about cracking around where the carbs go in and where the crossover tube goes. Do a leak down test and a proper plug chop if needed.
  11. What kind of comp tester did you use, what size jets are in it now, whats your elevation? You may just be lean on the pilot.
  12. Compression on a stock bike should be around 120, not 95. Did you do the compression test on a warm motor, with the carbs wide open and kick it till the needle stoped moving (normally 10-15 kicks)? Has the temp droped since the last time you rode it? You may be lean on the pilot trying going up a size on it and see if it helps. What is your current jetting, elevation, temp? Is there any other mods beside's pipes, stock filter?
  13. What type of riding do you do? You want to buy pipes that fit the type of riding you do. I would go with chrome, but thats depends on what look you want. The reeds and timing plate will be fine with t-6's. If you plan on doing more work to your motor in the future like porting, 4mill, performance upgrades I would look into a different pipe, t-5's, cpi's, ect....... The t-6's are more for a stock motor (unported stock stroke). I would recomend a cool head, 21cc dome's should be fine for 93 octain. Good luck with your build.
  14. Here's his ebay account >>chariotperformance<< . I bought a set of billet bowls off him and broke one of the power jet fittings and he sent me another set for nothing. Great guy and great costomer service.
  15. What do you need?
  16. You said you went to the gas station and filled it up? You did use premix with the fuel didn't you?
  17. Welcome!!
  18. What oil are you running?
  19. Welcome to BHQ Put new plugs in it, clean the carb. Try switching the plug wires to see if the problem follows to the other side. What octain fuel are you running? With the 19cc domes you may need 50/50 race fuel and 93 octain. Do a compression test to see if you need higher octain fuel.
  20. I agree with loco. There is alot of stress marks in the pics so its probably been rolled, it could have alot more wronge with it than you can see. Be patient and you will find a better deal. And welcome to BHQ
  21. I have a grill, billet bar clamp, Lazer Star billet lights, prm grabbar thats been polished. I also have a billet shifter and a polished quick change clutch cover that was modded by trinity. Pm me if your interested and i'll get you pics.
