  1. I dont think running 4 gaskets will hurt anything as long as its sealed one way or another.
  2. I wouldnt sweat it bro, he has good feedback. He most likely is away or sick or something. Im just like you, but I say give him time. You may not hear a word from him and your stuff will just show up in the next week or so.
  3. Yeah, I too would definately do a compression test before jumping to conclusions. Sears sells them for under 50 bucks, and that could save you a bunch of cash that you could be spending on mods. I would forget about the cub cylinders for now and get the other parts to make your shee rip. Once you finally max your stock cylinders bore size out and cant go anymore, then look into them.
  4. The reason I ask about the wires is because I would think it would cancel out the extra power from the ignition since the wire have the capacitor in them. Basically, the wires dictate how much power hits the plug, not the ignition since it will fire the spark once the capacitor reaches its full charge. Maybe Im wrong. Did you notice any difference when you put the nology on in place of the stocker?
  5. What curve do you have yours set on with that setup? So I DO want to run the resistor plugs? That would be the BR8ES? Just out of curiosity, have you tried the combo with standard wires instead of the hot wires?
  6. Title says it all. I have a 99 shee and bought a Dyna ignition from ebay, but I didnt get any paperwork. I tried to get the manual online, but that particular model is not listed. The ones that are listed are very vague. I am just looking to swap it out for the stocker. I dont have a tach or anything like that. BTW, can i and do I want to add a timing plate with this? Will it work ok with the nology coil and wires I have on the way???

  8. Hey man, sorry about your girl troubles. I live nearby in Baldwin, Md. If you have no other place to store it, I can put it up for a short while if you need to get it out of harms way. I too am a man of integrity and strongly believe in Karma. Even if you work things out, hit me up with a PM, maybe we could hook up and ride! Good luck, and dont piss her off!!! I would hate to hear she sold it or did something malicious.
  9. Once its warmed up, turn the choke back on. If it gets better your running lean on the pilot, if its worse your already too rich. Any chance of an air leak somewhere throwing your jetting off?
  10. Thanks for the pointer. If that was a snake, I would have been bitten. Which is the best one to run? #3?
  11. Does going up that far on the mains require me to raise the needle clip? I assume that going up on the pilot and the main would also richen the middle?
  12. I just recently bought a Dyna ignition used off Fleebay. I have no paperwork and the website is useless for what I found. I just want to know what settings control what curve. Any other installation tips are also appreciated!
  13. That would work if I had stock carbs. I bought a set of DG 28Pwk's. Their tech support said the carbs are jetted for a stock bike at sea level with a set of pipes and silencers. I just need to tweak them for the Vforce 3's and K&N pods with outerwears. I will also soon have a boss billet intake. I just want to make sure its real close before I run the $hit out of it for a real plug test. Unless anybody else has this setup and can chime in. Im thinking 1-2 up on the mains. The bottom runs good, but ran better with the choke on when warmed up, but i havent tweaked the air screw yet. My neighbors make it difficult to test around here.....
  14. I vote for the TRX90. My 7 year old is doing great on hers (its a bit big for her right now, but she's on the small side for her age). It is completely predictable, get her used to shifting gears with no clutch, and is plenty big enough for an adult to ride. I am sportin about 250lbs, and I love it. Handles great and steers easy for my daughter. That bike is as reliable as the sun rise, and low maintanence. They also have many upgrades for them too, not that they need it. Good luck with your choice!!
  15. Through my extensive travels on the net, I came across a jetting chart that gave some rough guidlines. More or less it said if you add pipes, step the main up 2 sizes.....or something like that. Has anybody crossed said chart and could they provide me with a link? Thankya!
  16. are you sure the master cylinder is good? Fill it, squeeze, crack open until no fluid, shut while still holding handle, release, refill repeat.... If you pushed the brake pistons all the way into the caliper, it will take more cycles. But I think that posts methods sound much easier. Thanks for that post dude. It takes a lot of beer and cussing when I work with brakes.
  17. NUTZ. I need a jpeg resizer to get the image to post. whats the max size and what does everyone use to resize theirs?
  18. Thats what im afraid of.....I just so happen to have one of them "addictive personalities" that my wife frequently reminds me of.
  19. Thanks guys! I just ordered it! I just hope it comes with intake gaskets too. I "accidently" bought a dual pingel too......I may be looking for a new place for me and the shee when the wife finds out what I have spent this month. Is there any medication I can take for this addiction??
  20. There are a lot of tricks with ignition systems. The spark plug is gapped according to the OEM specs with that ignition system. It is more of a fine tuning thing. Idealy you should open the gap until performance decreases (according Jacobs book on how to optimize your ignition) There are people who also index the plugs with washers so that the plug gap directly faces the intake valve. I played around with it a few years ago on my small block, but didnt notice enough benefit to waist my time doing it again. If you have a hotter ignition, open it up another .005 as a general rule (your results may vary) Plugs that are made of different materials like the platinum can be gapped a bit larger than copper. The required voltage to make the spark jump the gap is less. So they can theoretically run a larger gap also.
  21. I am looking to pickup an aftermarket intake that will work with the vforce3's. I have 28mm PWK's. I just read somewhere along the way that there are some that wont work. I just dont want to get the wrong setup.
  22. My local shops are not worth a $hit. where is the best place to pick up extra jets without paying an arm and a leg for them? I have 28mm PWK's and need mains 148 through 160. I also need pilots 50 and 52. Thanks
  23. Title says it all. I want to get my shee properly jetted without headaches. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Obviously they need to be able to do a quad.
  24. ITS ALIVE!!! OMG what a difference. I need to dial the jetting in as I just fired it up and ran it down the street. Now if you will excuse me, I have to wipe the money shot off my chin!!
