In all honesty if your going to drive down the road, just drive down it. I think its more of a risk driving on the shoulder moreso than just moving with traffic. Hell dont forget your on a banshee also, if someone is doing 45 in a 55 I will not think twice about passing their ass up. In a safe manner of course.

There are hookers in Indiana. I live in southern indiana and I used to ride my quad on the main highways just as if I was a law abiding citizen :yelrotflmao: I wont do it anymore though because the cops spread out this way because of all the methlabs. But I still ride on the "crossroads" of indiana and have never been caught, nor do I "endanger" anybody when I do. If somebody driver a motor vehicle isnt paying attention enough to seeing you on the road they're going to hurt somebody anyways. I would totally agree with your situation but its hard to because there are factors that can put yourself and others at risk. Like you going down a hill on the shoulder about 45 and somebody running 60 comes flying over it the hill, see's you and freaks out and swerves to miss you and ends up hitting head on with oncoming traffic. The conservation officers are the most strict about it here, I dont give a shit if they see you just crossing the road they will pull you over and ticket you. DNR does not exist around where I live so I cannot say nothing about them, but they mainly just work at state parks and maintain state park property, around here anyways.

You got lucky man, I would whatch going to bars in terrorties you've never been before.

Lmfao I dont think it matters if they were wearing pink or black and brown, its fucking gay either way. I know you guys were just being jackasses though

What bore are those cylinders?

Stock j-arms are definetely getting harder to find. I picked up a set from a member on here because mine were wore out. If you got the money i'd get a set where the balljoints are replaceable
-
Yeah nerfs or heelguards are a good idea if you plan on getting a little crazy with it, I whatched a buddy of mine ramp a hill and land wrong just to get his ankle gobbled up by the rear tire and it ended up breaking it and he made about 5 or 6 snow angels in the snow  The only thing he didnt regret was the morphine they gave him. I did have my banshee set to +5 degreees in timing but eventually I put it back to 0. On +5 it felt like it had more power available down lower up to top but it wasnt as explosive as it was on 0, it was more mellowed out. Its still set on 0 now and for the kind've riding I do I have to say I prefer it over when i had it timed to +5.

I thought about purchasing one of the wireless setups. I would'nt depend on this alone to keep your stuff safe, but it does add another layer of protection and identification of who might have stole your stuff.

All I was unsure about is if I need to cap off the intake while doing a compression test?
-
Thanks for the feedback, all of you. I think im going to go check it out anyways, I went and purchased a new compression checker. Is there a good guide on this site for testing compression correctly?

Yeah believe me that crossed my mind also why someone after spending that much money would'nt just want to have it looked at before loosing their investment. I was goin up there anyways and just thought thought I'd check it out. Thanks guys
-
Believe me I would rather spend it there instead in a heartbeat because i enjoy the old 87 more  , I would just like to have another bike on hand. I have to go up that way for business anyways so I might just swing by and take a look at it. @jugriggs how much info do you know about that bike?
-
Have you ever went and looked at it?
-
I'd like to buy it mainly for me as a second bike but also for my nephew as thats about the right size for him, my shee is curently tore down and going through a rebuild from frame up, I brought him down on the price of what he was originally asking quite a bit, friends were telling me to take him down lower but I thought it was a pretty decent deal also. 500 would be my top dollar offer though, I dont want to offer him any more money than that. He is also willing to throw in another set of front and rear tires, not sure if they're the stockers or what, jet kit and a couple other little goodies. I havent looked over it in person yet, was going to set up to see it later this week. Would those itp's mount on my shee? Because if they will thats where they're goin  heres a pic of the bike

I come across a 98 blaster, new itp holeshot tires and rims, fmf fatties, top & bottom end was rebuilt, hot rod crank. The guy selling it said he was riding it and it died and he hasnt fooled with it since. He is asking 500 bucks for it. The bike looks nice from the pictures and i'd like to have it for another bike, parts for a blaster seem pretty cheap. I figure its either the top end or something electrical. He said the motor was not seized. What do you guys think?

There is a kit to convert j to a arm. As far as aftermarket j-arms im really not sure.
-
I purchased the kit about two years ago, long story short I purchased new carbs and they arent tapped, I have the throttle cable and caps I just need the correct tap. If you have one lmk.
-
My opinion follows pretty much everyone else's. I would not trade your bike str8 up for a 450r. And you do have one of the nicest looking bikes imo on the hq

Recieved my stuff today, bump for a good guy
-
Mine is stock, and it really depends what type of riding your doing. I ride mine alot on the backroads to friends house and I use quite a bit of gas because im close to full throttle the whole ride. I can make one of those rides last give or take +-10 miles. I find a tank of gas goes pretty far just messing around the house, goofing off and whatnot. Good luck on finding your first banshee.
-
Do you still have the plastics? How much to ship to 47531
-
I totally agree with this guy.
-
I have to say that i do not like the looks of it. I like the original look of the banshee but would love to see an updated version. But you had fun with it and did a good job so kudo's to ya
-
bump still needing that screw if anyone has any spare parts laying around.
-
How much do you want for them?
