  3. Oh okay gotcha! I was hoping the guy off ebay didnt rip me off, but i did get a steal then!! yay cant wait to put them on now. Should i just use a razorblade to cut them?
  4. Okay, so i wanted to put in my VF3s the other day and was going to stick them onto the stock carb boots. Found that the two rubber post things on the ends of the carb boot actually fitting into the stock reed cages doesnt fit into the VF3s. The VF3s have oval holes and not a rectangular cut outs for these boots. Is this normal or are aftermarket boots needed? And should/could i just cut the raised rubber edges off the carb boots to bolt up the VF3s??? Pictures posted below Here is what i am talking about on the carb boots, the raised rubber parts on each end And the picture is a little dark, but these are the VF3s and the hole in them is an oval shape which doesnt fit up obviously!! The bolt pattern for the holes are right but dont fit together, let me know if these are the wrong reeds or whats going on!!! Thanks Fellas
  5. Damn mine is acting like this too, hope i dont have the same prob, i just rebuilt the damn thing!!
  6. Alright ill give it a few tries and see how shee goes!!
  7. Go to a menards home depot or lowes and look for MR-16's in the lighting department. 35W btw and floods would be your best bet if you want to light the entire road surface in front of you, otherwise if your looking for more distance go with the spots. Just read the packages and they will tell you what they are, good luck!
  8. Yeah thats what i figured it was when it ran better with the choke, ill mess with it tomorrow maybe. Hopefully it solves my prob, and oh yeah i cleaned them carbs spotless and inspected every orfice for a spec of dirt. So it must be my pilots!
  9. Yeah i sprayed carb cleaner to see if the engine would die, but it never happend to die at all so im just assuming its way to lean. It runs good on the choke one click out, and good when you get on the throttle but wont idle for shit!!!@#$ HELP!!
  10. yeah i think i might do that since everything else i tried hasnt worked at all!
  11. Okay so now my banshee runs when you keep on the gas but it doesnt idle at all no matter how much you turn up the idle screws. Plus sometimes when you come to a stop and pull in the clutch, the engine keeps revving and doesnt wind down as fast as it should?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! dont read sig, current mods are pipes, jetting 280, 25, and 2 turns out. Cleaned the carbs till they were spotless also!

  13. took a comp test today and both measured 110psi cold engine so i am assuming the rings are good and base gaskets so im going to buy a head gasket tomm.
  14. allright ill do that today after school got some in the garage and sounds easy to do. yeah ill buy a new head gasket too. thanks dajogejr!
  15. alright ill do a few checks today and make sure the reed cages are all tight and crossover tube is good and sealed up. Maybe squirt some soap and water over the head and check for leaks there also. I hope its not the top end, I just rebuilt it like 3 months ago and have maybe only put 15 hours on it tops!! thanks guys!
  16. I think its a garett vnt 15 turbo if im not mistaken, and thanks for all the comments!
  17. I use Amsoil dominator and interceptor both work excellent and are worth every penny!
  18. just cleaned the carbs today and air box very clean like spotless and put it all back together started her up and noticed that it had no power and wouldnt idle right. I had the head off the other day cause the head stud rattled out. I checked the cylinders and they both had the cross hatch still in them and looked great. Thing is when i ran it tonight i noticed that the exhaust on the right side was just pushin out the exhaust like crazy and the left was just puffing...nothing too great but still running half ass. Im thinking head gasket since i didnt replace it the other day when i put it back together, do you think this could be the problem or am I gonna need a top end??? Getting a comp checker tomorrow and seeing whats goin on. hopefully its just the gasket, i need it by sat for racing!!!! Thanks in advance

  22. Its in the jetting Faq posted by many HQers but thanks for all the help guys!
  23. K to start off I got a stock bore banshee with procircuit pipes stock reeds and carbs, and foam filter in the airbox. All that jetted to 280 main with 25 stock pilots and air screw 2 turns out. Now I am adding a whole bunch of little mods now and need to know if i stand correct. What ill be adding is V force reeds, K&N proflow kit and modding the airbox by cutting the second plastic piece on the inside of the lid to allow the intake hole to flow freely, also adding Timing plate, advancing 4 degrees. Now from what i have read on the jetting faq page i need to add, 4 sizes for K&N, 1 for airbox mod, 1 for timing plate, 1 position leaner on needles for reeds and 1 size larger on the pilots and finally 1 size larger mains for it being around 20-30 degrees. Now with all this i calculated it to be 15 sizes larger on mains (350), 1 size larger on pilots (27.5), and Needle clip moved up (leaner). I just dont wanna buy the wrong size jets and blow it up. Im thinkin of getting a range from 320-360 and the two sizes larger pilots to experiment with. Lemme know what ya think and thanks in advance!!!!!
  24. yeah but it sure turns on the ladies  had to say it lol
