Oh, I almost forgot... pick one and stay with it. Don't bounce around from one to the other. Try and stick with one oil. And never mix 2 different kinds

Yamaha recommends 24:1 believe it or not. That's too rich for my blood. I have been running 40:1 since I had my bike, but I recently had Kevin Herr do a bore, hone and port on my cylinders. Since my rebuild, I have been running 32:1. That is what alot of guys here run, but you will see as more will chime in that some run 40:1, 50:1, etc. I am going to run 36:1 (14 ounces in 5 gallons) as soon as I go for my next 5 gallons of 116 at the local race shop. Probabl tomorrow. Running 32:1 is safe since it is richer. But can be tougher to jet and such. It is good though since it is richer which is better than lean, which is why guys do it. Alot of builders recommend that as it is good to break a motor in richer. That's what I did. I am going to 36:1 since my bike is broken in. I would say you are good at 32:1. Go for it. I use Klotx Supertechniplate but most all of the oils out there are good.

Trinity makes one heck of a pipe. I am very pleased with mine. They pull very hard, and look good too. And like stated above, they are stainless. They won't rust, and if they happen to a little, it is incredibly easy to just wipe it away with polish or something. They sound very good too. But for a good all around pipe, that pulls from mid to top, they are good.

I spent the money, and I don't regret it. That's your opinion man, my time is money. I can't do that myself for $35 worth of my time, that's for sure. I can do alot more in the time it would take me to make those out of aluminum (if they even come out half as good).
-
I hear they are not worth the price. I hear Boyesons, with the stock cage, do just as good.

I know Matt will be on the hills, so will I, and 2 guys I am bringing like hillclimbing these hills too. So there should be lots of footage. I am bringing my camera to get some footage too.

Sounds good my man... PJ is coming, should be rather amusing.

You'd have a blasst... it would be worth the trip for a few days if you came up. You can get some serious cheap hotels/rooms to stay up this way...

If the quaility is anything like my intake from Boss, I will buy one for sure. I just like the thought of 30% more coolant.

It is very easy like I said. I personally do not like the holes left after you take the warnings off, so that's why I got these plates. They look pretty cool, and you can get them in a variety of things. I love mine... The fronts... And the rears...
-
Guys who have warning labels with rivots in them should just pop them out and get the aftermarket plates on ebay. To pop the rivets out, just get needle nose pliers and bend the back of them. If they don't pop out, drill them out. Either one will work. I will post pics of my plastics I just did... the warning plates come with all mounting hardware and anyone can do it.

I have no probelms with heating, but I just thought it would be nice if it actually worked, since all bikes get warm. What are your prices?
-
I want to get a bigger radiator, and was interested in the Boss oness. 30% bigger... talked with a few guys, some say they help, some say they don't. Anybody have any input?
-
Yes, my buddy had one do the same thing. Stock carbs and the floats were all over the place and it was leaking pretty good. We adjusted them to the proper angle and it was fine after that. Take the bowl off and adjust them.

Your exhaust/jug connection may be loose. You may need new o-rings. I had that problem 3-4 weeks ago, which sparked me to just rip it down and do my motor. But that may fix that problem. I don't knoiw if 3-4 turns out is good or not. Especially if they are ready to fall out. Most engine builders/mechanics I talked to said 1-2 turns out is the norm. And I'd stay away from octane booster. Just get race gas... that is if you need it. Never go cheap with something that looks as good as your bike in your signature. Plus race gases, well most of them, have lead in them which is good as well for a 2 stroke motor.

Powdercoating Stock A-arms
TeamRealtreeHD replied to TeamRealtreeHD's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I didn't think you could remove them either. -
It all has to do with compression... but I would say you are ok depending on your elevation and compression. The lower cc domes you run, the higher compression you will get = race gas. But with your setup, you will be alright. Check your compression to be safe. It shouldn't be too high, therefore, you can run regualr pump gas.

I found a good spot on my jets, I am very happy about it. I am currently running 155 mains, and 50 pilots. It is a tad on the richer side and can be leaned out a hair or two. I am looking for 152 mains and 150 mains. I have here 160, 162 and 165 mains I would be willing to trade. If not, I will buy. Darn places around here want $6 a screw. The hell with that... Let me know if anybody can help me out. I don't need it right away as my bike is running fine, but I want to get it perfect and to do that I will need to go down 1 size, which would be to 152's. 150's would be great to have on hand as well. Let me know if anybody can help me out... not looking for a whole kit, just 2 sizes here. I am willing to trade what I have, or pay some cash. Like I said, I have 160's, 162's and 165's I would be willing to trade.

Douglas Blue Label Beadlocks
TeamRealtreeHD replied to TeamRealtreeHD's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I am keeping the fronts, so they are "SOLD" so to speak. The rears are still available, and are the more impressive looking set out of the fronts and rears on the bike. The rears look really good, and are brand new looking. -
Anybody ever do it? I powdercoated my warrior several years ago, and did everything but the a-arms do to the fact I couldn't get the ball joints out of them. Since the banshee a-arms are the same way, does anybody have any advice on how to get them out? I will not be doing this project until the winter, but I am trying to plan ahead. Also, what bearing is everybody running in their swingarms, etc? Mine are shot, and I was going to replace those as well since I'd have to take the old ones out anyways to paint the swingarm. Looking for good ones obviously. I ran All balls and Ams Oil bearing before... any others that are good? Thanks in advance guys!

Yes, those need to be straightened out for sure. Let me know what time, etc.
-
+2!!! Send them to Kevin... You will guaranteed love that decision!
-
Is Stumpy coming? He's a riot... lol Count me in

The bike ran good with 160 mains and 52 pilots, only complaint was the missing a little when it went from idle to 1/4. I switched the hets from that setup to 158 mains and 50 pilots, and it is running awesome. Sarts right up, doesn't miss anywhere across the board, and the plugs look very good. Light brown. That is the jetting the Kevin recommended, and I was a little richer before. The bike is running awesome. I am going to have a few buddies send their jugs to kevin as he made this thing scream, he really did.

It was running a little rich with 52 pilots, 160 mains, and the air screws out 1.5 turns.
