  1. I was thinking the same exact thing... I really was. I am not sure how big I want to go though, maybe a +2, or a +4 tops. I can't go too long, but I think that might have to be the next investment. I was truely having problems hooking before in many situations. Needing a longer swinger is never a bad thing though lol
  2. Kevin said I was pushing mid 40 hp before with the 2 into 1. He said IF I KEPT THAT SETUP, I would be running in the mid 60's. Not sure what it will be now with the dual 33's. But he said it will run really good with this set of pipes. I personally really like them alot. I rode and saw some brands... alot of guys in my area run fmf's with power core 2 silencers and these pipes, with the 2 into 1, ran harder than theirs with the same mods, and their dual carbs. And they sound better IMHO. But I don't think the pipe will be the issue at all. I like how it gives a little low end, and some top. But it pulls nicely. Really hits like a ton of bricks too. They clain the more you do, the more they perform. I don't know if that holds an ounce of water... but I do know they are a great pipe, and I know Kevin is going to work to port for it. Kevin is being very cooperative and answers any questions I have. I honestly never dealt with a businessman like him before... he is very busy but cares alot that I know what is going on.
  3. It all started when I decided to send my jugs out to HJR a little early because I took my head pipe off to inspect a leak and decided to just do it then. Then I got into this whole mod mess. But before all of this, I THOUGHT the bike ran awesome... it had the following: -Trinity Stage IV stainless pipes and silencers -Trinity 2 into 1 with K&N and modded airbox -Keihin 35mm carb -Noss Cool Head with 20cc domes -boyeson reeds -stock bore, stock stroke, etc. Now, "Delilah" is upgraded, well will be when everything arrives and gets put back together -Trinity Stage IV stainless pipes and silencers -Noss Cool Head with 18 cc domes - +6 timing plate set at +6 -Keihin 33mm PWK's -K&N 10 degree flanged pods -boyeson reeds -coolant bottle bracket -Herr Jugs Racing Hot hillshooter port -.020 bore and hone by Herr Jugs Racing -Wiseco .020 forged pistons, rings, clips, gaskets, etc. -Barnett clutch springs -pancake bearing saver -And obviously Race gas with the compression What do you guys think? I think it will be a totally different animal, I really do. I made the decision to go to dual carbs because ALL of my riding consists of hillclimbing, duning and racing in that order. It was a monkey on my back with tat carb... coming on here, reading the negatives about it with draggin, duning, etc. And I wanted to maximize the potential of my port job as well. This is a big step on this bike. It will ride alot different now. I am expecting huge gains up top for sure, all through the gears. Tell me what you guys think? What am I expecting... from those who made such big modifications before?
  4. Awesome... those adjusters/bent things was a concern. Great! And I planned on getting aholda him too... that seems to be the best prices I can find for new... and believe me, I have been searching. His prices seem very good for everything!
  5. That is definately the setup I am going with. And I think that is a good deal too... will probably go with it. Will I need those metasl things that the cable goes into the carb with? The things that are hooked and shaped like an "L" All the new carbs don't have those. Josh, you have been such a big help. You basically set me up with the best and cheapest prices for everything... not to mention answering all my dumb questions. I am ready to rock now... just need to get my bike back together when everything comes in.
  6. I will first try CEL needles on middle clip. But I need them! Also, 50 pilots and 158 mains Would be nice to have a size above and below on each one just in case Thanks
  7. ASAP as soon as I find out who is the cheapest... ebay, Jeff, etc. I need to find a good deal on them. I will take em new, used, etc. Doesn't matter to me.
  8. Yes, stock stroke, .020 bore... K&N pods Kevin Herr is porting the Jugs with a hot hillshooter port, and boring and honing. I will also have the timing advanced +6
  9. Thought finding one 35mm since I had one already would be a good idea, but I decided against it with the help of many on here. I now need two pwk 33's
  10. I am now leaning towards 33's and will most likely go that route since I am selling my complete 2 into 1 with the carb as well. The only reason I was leaning towards 35's was because I had one... I will do this right, not wrong... better safe than sorry. jbooker and many others on here have been an incredible help so far... almost done!!! Thanks Josh What do you guys think? 33mm pwk's a good choice? Like I said, the only reason I wanted another 35mm was because I had one already, thought I could get another and save some dough, etc. But enough of you thought it wasn't the best choice. The bright side of things I won't have to worry about one being different lol
  11. Ok, so I got: -motion pro cable -k&N pods and outerwears (must order tomorrow since I need 10 degree flanged) -boss intake -coolant bottle bracket Need: -carb -ez pull springs -jets?
  12. Josh, I think it was you who said something about "easy pull" springs for the carbs? Or something like that... I think you stated something in a message, I wanted to write it down...
  13. Ok... I just reviewed the funds, as the auction for the intake just ended and I made out pretty good. I got a Boss billet intake for 33-35mm for $102 shipped. Thought it would go much higher than that. So I have the extra cash to go ahead and buy a new single carb. I sent Jeff at FAST an email, telling him my situation, and asking what he needs to identify my carb. The pic of the 35mm pwk looks identical, I mean right on, to mine on his site. I asked what he needs to get me the one I need (part#, etc.) By the looks of it, I will be in pretty good shape after all. But I still need the CEL needles and jets. I got some recommendations from a few guys. With 35mm carbs, they are saying CEL needle on 3rd clip, 50 and 158 jets... how does that sound with my setup?
  14. That's what I decided to do... sell all the 2 into 1 junk and go with duals... I guess I'll start looking for a nice set of 33's or 35's
  15. I don't have the money right now to buy 2... I wish I can get 2, I really do. I just can't. If I could do it right, I'd buy 2 brand new. I dug myself a big hole I think... bought some stuff for 2 carbs already, and cannot get a second carb because I don't even know what it is. Sometimes I just want to beat myself like a redheaded stepchild
  16. This is bad... I don't know anything on this carb. I can't even tell you if it is a regular 35 pwk or an airstriker. I'll be down and out off the bike for a long time I think... My luck I'll get one and I have the other...
  17. Sounds good... thanks
  18. One of these should work I am assuming... but why are they slightly different in the looks? It has me a little worried, but it is a good deal for sure if one will work.
  19. I am on the hunbt for a 35mm PWK as most of you know. Came across a pretty good deal. The top picture is the one I already have. The ones below are two of which I can pick out of. The question is... if you look where the carb mounts up to the air filter on mine, there is a circle or vent type of thing. But it really isn't a vent. I really don't lnow what it is. These don't have that. Should I worry about this? What is that thing? Other than that, they look pretty close to mine... just not sure which one of those to get. Help me out Mine... The ones I can pick one from... which one?

    35mm PWK

Does anyone have a Keihin PWK 35mm that is in good shape? I need one badly
  21. Need another 35 pwk carb
  22. Well I ordered the pods and the bracket holder for the coolant bottle. Where would be a good place to start looking for my second 35mm PWK carb? New or used, doesn't matter... what do you guys think?
  23. I hate to keep asking, but where do I find the fuel ine T? Thanks a ton to everybody today for helping... I am now on the hunt for some parts.
  24. One more question... if anyone can answer this. My bike right now has a petcock that looks to only weork with one outlet/carb tube. What do I do here... must I get another petcock as well? I was taking a look at Josh/s setup, and that got me thinking
  25. That spark plug/bottle bracket is cool... I definately think I am going with that one!
