  1. Anytime,.... Thanks!
  2. For start up and off idle to 1/8 throttle, stock jetting is 200-220 mains and 25 pilots.
  3. I seriously doubt that you overheated it that bad to cause those problems, its prolly carb issues. Oh, nice wheels and tire choice too.
  4. Is that cyl. not firing? And you have spark, you may want to do a compression check. Plus put new plugs in. Br8es plugs gapped at .028-.032
  5. So how did the bike run when you got it? and did it start up ok? You dont have to keep it reved up to keep it from fowling plugs either if its tuned right.
  6. Well I would suggest taking the lid off the air box to see how much better it runs but you would have to figure out a way to keep the filter from falling out. That would help lean it out, just dont leave it that way. If it runs better put a smaller main jet, or move clip on needles, and make sure your plugs are gapped right .028-.032 where are you located? elevation?
  7. Is that a leaner needle?
  8. carb parts warehouse...216-635-1099 where they come from.
  9. Just make sure your air mixture screws are equally adjusted around 1 1/2 out from seated: "screw them in then turn out 1 1/2". check to make sure carbs are syncronized, take breather out and check carb. slides to make sure when you work the throttle both slides work exactly at the same time. If one moves before the other you will need to adjust. If this doesn't help you will need to take carbs off and go through them and clean, pull the jets and make sure there not clogged, which you may want to do first if you haven't yet.
  10. Hate to be in your shoes today!
  11. Now you've gone and done it!
  12. Especially with them tires on dirt.
  13. Just bring back some damn video, all ready!
  14. Loco never jokes, Do ya? lol
  15. Visited Calgary back in 94 or 95 I really liked it, I always tell my wife if we ever move thats where I would go. We went to a place called Banff prolly didn't spell it right but you no what I mean. That was a really cool little town. Also seen where 88 Olympics was held.
  16. Get a piece of fuel line or gas cap tubing and cut a piece to fit from carb to carb about 2" long, measure them while there on.
  17. What are you upgrading to and from what size?
  18. Im not sure if that would affect the head or not, but if its running good I think I would just go with it.
  19. How long and hard were you riding? Its not like it was getting hot from being to lean. Water cooled is for "helping" it stay cool and the performance of the machine, Id say your prolly ok.
  20. Welcome to the BHQ and good luck......$
  21. Don't forget the +4 timing and a coolhead NOSS would help. If you get it jetted right you should take the DS, 2nd gear launches and keep the Rs up. What gearing do you have?
  22. I just read 11 pages hoping to learn something??????????? lol Well I did learn one thing: C 14-16-1-20 Operation on highways and roads Sec. 20. (a) An individual may not operate a vehicle required to be registered under this chapter upon a public highway, street, or rights-of-way thereof or on a public or private parking lot not specifically designated for the use of vehicles, except under the following conditions: (1) A vehicle may be operated on the public right-of-way adjacent to the traveled part of the public highway, except a limited access highway, if there is sufficient width to operate at a reasonable distance off and away from the traveled part and in a manner so as not to endanger life or property. (2) The operator of a vehicle may cross a public highway, other than a limited access highway, at right angles for the purpose of getting from one (1) area to another when the operation can be done in safety. The operator shall bring the vehicle to a complete stop before proceeding across a public highway and shall yield the right-of-way to all traffic. (3) Notwithstanding this section, a vehicle may be operated on a highway in a county road system outside the corporate limits of a city or town if the highway is designated for this purpose by the county highway department having jurisdiction. (4) A law enforcement officer of a city, town, or county or the state may authorize use of a vehicle on the public highways, streets, and rights-of-way within the officer's jurisdiction during emergencies when conventional motor vehicles cannot be used for transportation due to snow or other extreme highway conditions. The event may be conducted on the frozen surface of public waters only under permit from the department. ( An individual less than fourteen (14) years of age may not operate a vehicle without immediate supervision of an individual at least eighteen (18) years of age, except on land owned or under the control of the individual or the individual's parent or legal guardian.
  23. The vin is right under the shifter on the frame and the last # would indiacate the year of the machine. They started doing a certificate of ownership like a title, but Im not sure when they started it, if you got a bill of sell just keep a hold of it, at least you could go back on the person you got it from. That is if you got info from him.
  24. There are components in a bashee engine that need special care that are not found in a weedwacker.......... Their called ponies!
