I always thought about it but more horse power seamed more important but now that I have a round houseing I will never go back, even if I bought a stocker.
Buy a used set of pipes
After market reeds
Timing plate set to +4
K&N Air Filter + outerwear
TORS removal kit
trail port
That will take care of the power. Don't bore your cylinders unless you have to it's not worth the power gains.
as far as the handling save your money up and buy a kit with extended A arms and shocks set for your needs. These kits are expensive but well worth the money. You will be better off buying a kit than piecing it together.
I ran a CCK or CEK (I can't remember which but they are only 1 off) on my 10 mil super and later switched to a 10 mil cheetah and it was still good, that is running 110 Octane.
I would buy several sprockets front and rear so you have a lot to choose from.
try a strut in the rear a least.
keep trying new things if you make pass after pass with out changing anything you will get the same result except for a little less gas.
just dunning and ripping up my back yard. I run a pump now but only because they are supposed to have one. I didn't notice any difference when I added it.
there are a few things to pay attention to when going through the gate
1. don't drive up to the gate when there is someone standing buy the picnick table with out a quad there.
2. drive up when there is a quad there (they usually won't make you wait)
3. keep your quad at as low of RPM (as quiet)as possible when going up to the gate.
4. load your quad in the back of your truck (you will need an ORV for your truck as well)and drive the truck out to the dunes.
5. drive through the gate when no one is at the table.
6. the more times you go back and forth the more likely you will get checked.
hope this helps.
