  1. good luck with it but i can tell u $190 is too high....a set went for $85 on PS the other day...gotta remember the economy is in the toilet right now... dbr
  2. want a set of stock cases in good shape for a good $$$.... dbr
  3. how about the cases?....are they in good shape?....are they trenched?....how much $$ for them?... dbr
  4. what a fucking hypocrite...bans people all day on PS for the same language but comes over here and stirs up shit... dbr
  5. does the engine ice seem to help any?... dbr
  6. LOL...dave, as usual, you have a valid point....BUT!! that is the WORD over on PS...makes me think they have a plan to take care of it (the "idiots")... wouldnt surprise me if MOD---eration goes waaaaayyyy!! UP... know what i mean?... dbr PS...hey how about some "personal emoticons" over heah on the HQ---PS has them
  7. i belong to both sites...since i started serious drag racing with travis (bigboybanshee) and the gang, PS has become much more valuable to me and i spend most of my time over there...sure you can cuss each other over here and STS but if you want to get much above cub cylinders the wealth of knowledge on PS is invaluable...just a fact... also, being in business myself, i realize how costs to run the business can add up and they are often not apparent to the casual observer...to be quite honest, i was surprised to get as much as we did on PS for free for so long and had no complaint or problem with paying for a subscription that matched my level of interest and dedication... plus, as has been noted over there quite frequently lately, the fees will drastically cut down on junk posts from deadbeat net surfers that really just waste alot of time and space on the site anyway... dbr
  8. here's you a 90 HP motor with carbs, pipes, and ignition...for $2550: http://www.planetsand.com/forums/ubbthread...6352&page=1 dbr
  9. run it in the 300 ft dirt or sand drags....is a lot more fun and you will likely get a lot more help with it since it is much more common...however, if you are dead set on asphalt try: www.planetasphault.com (yeah it has the extra "u" in it) dbr
  10. yeah that is how we do it ... dbr
  11. we ran 9 paddle rippers on our 421 cub...it hooked very well and was fast...consistently around 4.0 with 200 lb. rider...throws a mean "roost"...lol... dbr
  12. well i made the sig long before it became an issue...the sentiment for smaller is so strong that i probably will have to modify it...just will take some time to make the pics smaller i guess... i have a ford truck too...they are pretty nice...so far no prob... dbr
  13. i think he is talking about a wireless system.... try this site: http://www.harmankardon.com/category.aspx?...=US&cat=MRP dbr
  14. i prefer the Kawasaki KFX 450R...it is fuel injected and has a reverse...many other good features... dbr
  15. here is a site for you to use: http://www.havocperformance.com/ENGINECALCULATOR.htm dbr
  16. i wouldnt trust a $25 chain to hold up...you usually get what you pay for... dbr
  17. i would have to say, if you are gonna just ride it and NEVER race stay away from an override....if you are gonna ride it and race it go with a dunable but be careful about backloading it too often at high rpms and DEFINATELY get it from WCR...they are the only ones i have heard good things about here or on PS site...if you are gonna only drag race (like me) it doesnt matter dunable or nondunable but i would suggest the 1-5 with NEUTRAL DOWN...there are several good ones that do these that are nondunable and Rudy Kurtz out in CA was one of the first to do it on a Banshee...Fast By Gast in NY apparently did the very first ones on drag motorcycles... dbr
  18. yeah...and that pipe stays cool compared to the other one....that plug stays relatively "clean"...doesnt the pressure test check the head o-ring too...that is what i think it probably is...but just got this motor...no telling really... dbr
  19. i have been told it is bad for the piston/cylinder to run it much so i am waiting, patiently (trying!!), for the larger plugs (for the pressure test)...if i can't figure it out i am gonna take it to Tim at Titan... dbr
  20. overrides are like "black" ... once you have done them you'll NEVER go back, trust me  ... it is like the difference in driving a chevettte and a porsche...especially for racing, it is a must if you want good consistent times... dbr
  21. mine is doing the same thing basically...except the left side is putting out smoke or steam and run a little...i think it has an air/water leak...i ordered a pressure tester off of Ebay but the plugs were stock size and i needed them for a DM cylinder... try these links: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...609343&rd=1 http://www.widgetco.com/rubber-stoppers the first one is for the test kit and the other is for the various size stoppers you may need...i ordered 42mm for the DM motor, i think... dbr
  22. could it be steam instead of smoke...may be water getting into the piston... dbr
  23. didnt you get yours from K & T?...all of theirs if have seen are routed the same way...i just assumed they came from them already routed...mine was when i got it... dbr
  24. no that's called "what goes around comes around"...he'll get it back...can't treat nice people like shit forever and not get caught on it...his "$20,000 worth of sales" speaks volumes.... dbr
