  2. i had this problem and it was a messed up throttle cable that let the slide close all the way on one side when idling...the key is it is only at idle then runs good...use a laser temp guage to test the exhaust pipes if you have any question as to when it is happening and to what amount...just pull the filter(s) off and look up into the back of the carb to see if there is a little opening at the bottom of the slide at idle...i replaced my cable an was fine...dbr

  6. yeah i did it very similar to the guy above but used 1" square tubing from lowe's....worked very well...30 min. job at the most.
  7. what is shipped price for a rear one? what materials did you decide to use? are they ready now or made to order? delay time unitl ready to ship? and would like to see a pic.

  13. I think I can handle putting them on. Have had those carbs and reed cages off several times.
  14. I am about to pull the top off the heads to see the dome size. Anything special I need to know. This is not in Clymer's. Will I need a new gasket?? Any potential problems???
  15. Thanks!! Sorry I know nothing about Reed Spacers. Please advise as to type, est. cost, any changes in performance, where to find them for the best price. I figured the Cheetah Cubs had addressed this. I think that guy at the track had these. How hard is it to change out to these???
  16. This is a persistent problem with my Lectron Carbs. Had a guy with a really hopped up engine tell me the other day at the drags that "the intakes on mine hold the carbs up". ???? Do I need to consider getting another intake especially for this?? The one I have is fine otherwise and has been drag ported. Don't really want to change. Right now I have tied the left carb up to the frame with a tie wrap. Is working but looks cheap and may change the angle of inflow enough to hurt performance??
  17. Have any of you guys ever built the above at home (not in a fab shop)? I have 1" square aluminum tubing that is about 2 mm thick on each side. I used this to make two very nice 10 1/2" long front struts that work great. Will this be strong enough for the back single strut? Any suggestions?
  18. Clown!!!...lol You wouldn't happen to be familiar with C.S.S up in your area? They are who supposedly built the motor for my quad which was bought off of EBAY about a year ago from a guy named Andrew Jeffery. A guy named Greg Emerson did the custom paint job. The work and paint seem to be good quality. You might be interested to know that there is a guy in Memphis who sells on EBAY under the name "bferrel" that says "Dan, is probably one of the top Banshee engine builders in the country".

  21. I have a 4 mil stroker drag ported by SCC pro design cool heads CPI in frame 36 mm Lectrons on 110 racing fuel. I am planning on upgrading to alcohol using 39 mm Khein alky carbs set up by Dan at A & S. Thinking of maybe adding nitro for that occasional heads up race with the really bad bikes. Suggestions for the Nitro? NOS, Nitro Xpress, or Boondocker? Why?
