  1. I ordered mine +2 +1 Christmas day thanks to a nice lil cash gift I recieved. I went with deep candy purple powder coat. Hoping they come in soon, I will let you all know how they look, mount, and ride. I will also be running standard dual rate dune edition Elkas with them which came in New Years Eve (fast ass shipping for sure!).
  2. I use the Toomey Racing 2:1 filter. The boot is Y shaped to mount to both carbs and then uses a single filter that sits upright. Im happy with it.
  3. Anyone have experience with this canvas retractable camper shell? It folds forward to allow me to load the banshee, then when I get to camp, I can retract the shell back up. It looks like a nice setup. Softopper.com
  4. Yeah I was talking about a cab-high camper shell (cap, however you want to call it), not a tonneau cover. But I was worried that the standard height camper shell wouldnt fit the shee. Im sure the shells that stick up higher than the roof of the truck would work but I dont like the look as much.
  5. Im thinking about getting a camper shell on my 2005 Dodge Ram QuadCab ShortBed and would still like to be able to fit my Banshee in it when Im go riding. I wanted a cab-flush style shell though and was worried it might not fit unless I go with a higher-than-the-cab-style camper shell which Im not a huge fan of....at least not the brands Ive seen. Do any of you guys have any experience with this or know of any specific brands/models that might work? Thanks!
  6. awesome advice, thank you so much. and thanks to the other guy too!
  7. I already have dealer installed Toomey TR6 pipes with the air box modded with the Toomey included box vents and filter. Its already jetted for that. Will I need to change jetting if I switch out to the Toomey 2 into 1 filter or just bolt on and go?
  8. Im pretty sure the stuff you want to check out is Krylon Fusion. its made to flex a bit for plastics and what not. Id say paint them.
  9. Def worth it for the money. they look good, do what they are supposed to, and werent that hard to install at all. Theres nothing I dont like about em.
  10. Hack em off. I cut mine to leave no flare upwards. I just used the line where it turns from coming out to flaring up, cut it right there. came out nice and easy. used a hacksaw then sandpaper to smooth.
  11. What about slowly and carefully grinding it down with a grinder? then try backing the nut off?
  12. Thanks dajogejr. I think I can manage that.
  13. These are probably dumb questions but, in removing the sprocket: How is that done? Does the bike need to be in gear so it doesnt just spin? Do I need to loosen the rear to put slack in the chain in order to get it off then back on again? How tight is that torqued back down? Thanks for all the help!
  14. The TM Desinworks one im talking about appears to be behind the sprocket, and over/around the shaft. Thats why I ass-u-me the sprocket needs to come off.
  15. Im taking my newest toy out for its maiden voyage next weekend. I dont expect anything to happen this weekend but I def want to be getting this case saver soon to prevent any future issue is chain breaks or slaps. I couldnt find any installation instructions online. Is it pretty self explanitory? It just looks a bit more complicated than the other one. I assume the sprocket is removed so the saver can go behind it. Is that easy to do? Anything I should know before tackling this? Thanks guys.
  16. shit, I only need one if thats who I got rollin with me. I dont know if I got room on the trailer for her though.
  17. that would work but it looks like id get pulled over haha.
  18. Congrats man! He will def have some fun birthdays being Halloween! Lucky punk! hehe
  19. Ill take 2 also. But I dont want them to be riders. I just need them to stay back at camp to watch my shit, have the food ready when im done riding, and have the least amount of clothing on... the better.
  20. what size tires for the rear? His is stock with T5s. 20x11x8 20x11x9 20x11x10
  21. Good idea. Ill try this out before the trip and see how it works. I appreciate the help and input guys!
  22. You guys like smoothies over say the mohawk style or the sand star fronts?
  23. Thanks for the input guys. I was leaning more towards not doing this anyway. it seems like a pain in the ass and Id rather leave mine on all 4s (when hauling it hehe). Anybody have any experience with a simple utility trailer like this one from Harbor Freight? Itll hold a quad and maybe some gear and its only $209....just add plywood. The put the other quad in the bed. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/disp...temnumber=42709
  24. Ive found a couple threads somewhat related to this but tell me what you think of this: Ive got a Ram 1500 std bed. I drain the fuel from the tank then run the bike til it runs out of fuel (to get it out of the carbs). I roll my banshee forward into the bed and put it upright resting on back tires and grab rail. I tie down the crap out of it somehow (any ideas?). I roll my friends Predator forward into the bed behind it, leaving it on all 4s. Tie it down and leave the tailgate down. Good to go for 4 hours to Glamis. Pull my banshee out, add fuel, hit throttle a few times to get gas to carbs, fire it up. Sound like itll work? Thanks for input guys. I really want to avoid having to take 2 seperate trucks. Also, would this have any difference if it was a 4 stroke being moved upright? concerned about oil getting somewhere it doesnt belong.
  25. Im just barely getting into sand riding like Glamis, Pismo, etc. I have Sand Stars all around but my buddy is going to buy a Banshee and the dude hes getting it from has been running paddles in the rear with just the regular dirt tires on front. What type of difference are we talking about if you run dirt tires compared to sand up front? Im trying to tell my friend he needs to buy some sand stars up front but this guy is saying he will be fine with dirt. Maybe he will, I dont know. This is Glamis dune riding im talking about and sorry for the stupid question. Im still a noob. Thanks!
