  1. I did some research on here about these nerfs and the reviews seemed to add up that they are decent and fairly priced but that they might not align correctly and were hard to install. I went ahead and ordered them anyway on Monday then called Alba Thursday to check status. The parts employee was friendly and supplied me with a tracking number. They showed up the same day. I was pleased with the look of the bars, package had no instructions but its straight forward and you can find instructions on their website. The peg bolt holes were aligned enough on one side that I could easily thread the nuts on by hand and then torque them down. The other side was a bit harder. I could have done it by hand but with the use a vice grip, I was able to do it easier. No bending of the bars was needed. I would say all in all, took me about 30 mins to put them on, most of the time spend lacing the nets onto the bars. Im happy with the product and the price is great! Ill get pics of mine this weekend. P.S. I do not work for Alba. =) http://store.albaaction.com/shop/AL120-112.html
  2. forgive my ignorance as I havent taken apart my grill yet to look but what keeps rocks from getting thru the holes and hitting radiator? i saw these on ebay and will def be getting one soon.
  3. I just stumbled across this, thought it might help. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=59477
  4. How long did you have them on before they started turning colors like that? And the color is there all the way to the silencer? Sounds pretty lean man.
  5. Agreed. This is what I was getting at. I dont ride forest areas much so I didnt think to mention this. I was referring to riding year round at like Pismo, Glamis, Stoddard Valley areas, etc. Forest is def regulated more than desert areas.
  6. Im not too sure what the fines are for disobeying this law but everyone I know with a red sticker ignores it and still rides year round. They say that the rangers dont really enforce it because they think its bullshit too. I havent ridden mine out of season yet but I plan on it next summer.
  7. just an update: took it into the dealer. turns out the idiots who put the jet kit on it didnt screw in the pilot jet enough and it backed itself out and fell out. all better now what should i do to it next? haha
  8. shoot, one more thing..... is the choke on this a vacuum choke? the tube connecting between the carbs is just a vacuum hose. Maybe its not getting fuel for some reason.
  9. a lil update in case you guys have any other thoughts. I let it sit for a while since i posted this and today i went to fire it up again to see if anything changed. immediately a couple little pieces of material came from the pipe of the non-working cylinder. These lil pieces are redish/brown in color with a darker center. Its semi-hard and flexible like a rubber but can be pulled apart easily. It smells like fuel but that could be because it came from the pipe i guess. It reminds me of like a liquid sealant but i have no clue what it could be. I put the original plug back in since it wasnt fouled but before i put it back in, i checked spark....has plenty of spark to it. I also figured maybe the dealers fuel was bad. I drained it all out and it seemed to be clean, i checked inside the tank and no debris or anything. I went ahead and mixed and put 2 clean gallons back in it but no luck. I removed the air filter to check slide function and both are good. Im stumped.
  10. im sure it is...its brand new. there isnt even 2 hours run time on this thing. it still has the dealers fuel in it....maybe it was bad or contaminated? hmmm maybe ill just take it back to them since its still in warranty. this sucks.
  11. tube seems to be fine. the choke lever goes into the left carb then a rubber tube connects it to the right carb. that rubber tube is snug between both carbs.
  12. I bought a 06 about 3 weeks ago. its all stock minus dealer installed t6 exhaust and jetting. I havent even taken it out riding yet, only firing it up every weekend or to cruise around the neighborhood horse trails. today I pulled it out and its only running on the left cylinder. i thought the plug might have been fouled so i replaced it with a new one with no luck. I have swapped the spark plug wires but the right one still isnt firing. I have done a search and found some simlar problems on older units but the solutions dont seem to apply to this one since its only 3 weeks old. WTF?!!?
