Differences between model years are minor, including color combinations, upper j-arms on early models (1987 to 1990) followed by a-arms on subsequent models, the addition of a brake light in late production machines (2002 and on), and minor differences in electrical connector styles. So that knocks your question of what years to stay away from since there weren't that much changed. We don't know how much money you want to spend on this thing, what it's gonna have when you buy it etc so it's hard to answer your question right now. Usually when i get a bike i bring it straight to the garage and start ripping shit off of it. First is the parking brake block off get rid of it and get a blockoff plate, then take the TORS (Throttle Override System) off and get a TORS eliminator kit, shave the front fenders, order pipes, vforce reeds and so on and so on. Just do some searching on here you'll find out more information just reading than anything else.

Yeah it'll help out i personally like em' better than the stock radiators but that's only if your sticking with gas if you run alky or want to in the future i wouldn't get it since alky will help run cooler anyway. That's why i didn't get one all i did was clean mine out real good strip the paint and will use my stock one since i'm gonna run alky. I also didn't like the price tag on them either i think there way over priced. You won't believe how much crap gets in between the fins on the radiator too if you gonna stick with it i'd take it off and clean it up real good it will help a little bit.

My seat moves around bad from left to right when sitting on it. I've always wondered why is there anyway to fix it? It only does it in the front

I thought this was funny, the description says there in great shape but i see some knarley ass grooves in the crank area and the top cases look like Daves and I with a big chunk missing by the top right stator bolt.
