  1. Check for air leaks to start. If that checks out synchronize the carbs, make sure you check synch both on the idle stops and off to make sure the cables are adjusted properly as well.
  2. Wow this went to shit quick. I mill off every other dog on my trannys, mod the shift star, and notch the shift shaft on all my banshees. It makes a huge difference in how they shift and the number of missed shifts. It is critical that all components in the trans and the clutch are in good shape no matter if the above components are stock or modified. I can tell you that modifying them just makes it better everything else being equal. You wont be dissapointed you did it.
  3. I dont think cost would matter if they had run right, the problem was for the longest time trinity was the only option. Tthey couldnt seem to get them put together correctly. How many times did we see dudes buy cheetahs from trinity that were time bombs because they couldnt even get the domes right?
  4. But you arent buying 2 stroke oil and premium oil isnt cheap there either. i buy redline 4 stroke motor oil on amazon no its not cheap but it doesnt use a ton either. I think a lot of guys run 15-40 diesel oil, so there is that option too
  5. It depends, it usually works out to about every 10 hours. I only ride in the sand, so yeah im on it pretty hard most of the time.
  6. Ive never touched a raptor so not sure on your machine but on the yfz, you have to pull the front plastic and gas tank off. (the dzuz fasteners are a must upgrade as you can get plastics off in about a minute with them) then its pretty simple. Pull of the valve cover and remove a cover on teh side of the motor to line up the timing marks. You can verify tdc with the marks on the cams lining up with the head as long as cam timing hasnt been messed with. Then just use a feeler gauge. Bent ones help a lot. If its out of spec its a bit more work, you have to back off the chain tensioner, remove the cams and then change out the shims under the buckets. My bike has 80ish hours on it and i havent had to change them as they have been within spec each time.
  7. I have both, love my YFZR. No it doesnt have the power of the banshee but its a better all around bike. I change the oil and filter after each trip, keep the airfilter clean and check valves every 20 hours. Pretty simple maintenance imo. If i were forced to keep only 1 bike it would be the R
  8. If you were to describe this color scheme to me i would have said it sounds ugly. Seeing the pics coming together its looking pretty bad ass. I have no imagination when it comes to design. I guess thats why all my shit ends up black and white.
  9. Ive had pretty good luck with the mopar units on the older generation trucks. I assume they make them for the newer trucks.
  10. i had nothing but trouble from ricky stator parts.. Absolutely junk
  11. The 450Rs are valved pretty stiff stock. a little playing with the adjustments makes a big difference but they are definitely set up more for performance than comfort.
  12. i used moroso A+B to repair a damaged case from a rod letting go. Its been in there at least 5 years now with no worries http://www.jegs.com/p/Moroso/Moroso-A-B-Epoxy/747661/10002/-1
  13. electric is awesome...............for those girls who cant tune nitro
  14. New pistons and transmissions with each trip too much powas
  15. The rams have too much rake and look gay as fuck stock. Not to mention with time its the the front end that sags on these trucks. The opposite may be true on a gasser but not when you have about 1200 pounds of motor sitting on those front springs for years at a time. Tyler you should be ashamed, they are going to repossess your white oakleys if you leave the back of the truck higher than the front.
  16. My brother has a 12, if i see him tomorrow ill look at it and see if its the same way
  17. JD i havent fucked with your year truck but on my dads 06 dually it had a spacer block on top of the axle perch. It was about 1.5 " thick if i remember. All we did was remove the block and place it on top of the spring. You could remove it entirely but would need new U bolts. It works flawlessly and unless you know what you are looking at you would have no clue it was even done besides the truck sitting more level. He did it to try and get his 5th wheel closer to level as the trailer already had the axles flipped but was still too low.
  18. come on bennett dont be a bitch lets see the pic
