  1. sweet, keep us posted man!!!!!!!!!!
  2. makes since, so what was that? about 78mph?
  3. I am also hoping to someday go to a -2 roundhouse basically to get away from the stock setup, but I really like to wheelie, I hope that it makes them a lot easier.
  4. Anything new? Im extremely interested in the efi, I had my mind made up on using some throttle bodies off of a 03-04 gsxr600 but I like how these look, what year r6 are they off of?
  5. how much you want for it? got any pix?
  6. I think someone could pull it off really good, with the right suspension set up, I think it would be even better to go with a yfz frame.
  7. I had this exact same problem, mine ran super good and started easy, but when I had it WOT it cut out and sometimes popped, pretty much like a rev limiter. So I adjusted the carbs a little and didnt have any luck so I started messing with the plug wires, and It still didnt help it, but I had another coil laying around and decided it was too simple to swap it out and see, sure enough it fixed it. Havnt had another problem with it since. Hope this helps!!!
  8. Im not sure, but I wouldnt think that the paint would make that big of a difference in cooling capabilities. Anyone else?

  10. I dont have many mods at all, just shaved head, +4 timing, very minor clean up port, stock reeds, stock carbs, and Ive got t6's...they seem to pull really good overall.
  11. I have stock carbs and air box, and a pro design head on it, and I made the mistake of buying cpi's ( im not ported, and i already traded them) but anyways i had a problem with them not wanting to line up with the silencer tubes very well, and they liked to rub the frame, I kept messing with them and got them lined out.
  12. To give an example of how much of a difference the high output yfz mc makes, i put it on before I installed the yfz calipers. The yfz mc with stock banshee calipers performs ALMOST as good as the yfz calipers. If I had've known the yfz mc was going to make that big of a difference, I wouldnt have bought the yfz calipers. Just my .02
  13. Hey evro, you have the yfz calipers and stock banshee master cylinder dont you? I did the same thing, and it did help a lot, but if you really wanna make a HUGE difference, use an 07 or up yfz mastercylinder. The difference in braking feel is night and day. Another alternative to that is find a 450r mastercylinder. Im not sure on the years for the 450r, but I think about any mc off a 450r will match the 07 or up yfz mc.
  14. Nice bike man! Is it me? or does the rear end look a lot longer than a yfz? I guess its just because its lowered down so much.
  15. Unless you just have money laying around, an extra set of cases, or have been planning on doing some upgrading, do NOT go tearing it apart. Especially if its just broke/cracked on the section that the stator cover bolts to. I had a 98 banshee that had the entire section up over the front sprocket broke off, it looked like you took a hammer and broke it all off, and at the bottom, it made a crack that was down by the shift shaft, it leaked a little so I had it welded and it was good, Just my .02
  16. Well thats what my buddy did when he put his t6's on. Dont mean anything but here is a video of his bike, and I was wrong it was a 96, I think synching them will help ya out alot, if not..it wont hurt for them to be more accurate then they are now.
  17. You might wanna look at the hose closely, a small crack can make a big difference..My buddy had the same smoking problem with his 97 banshee, his carbs weren't synched, im guessing you used a synchronizer like this right? http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=59
  18. lol Im also on a < 1500$ bike. I paid 700$ cash for it with clean title and like 50 receipts, the left rod was seized up and needed pistons...other than that it was mint.
  19. Wacko2000 had a good point, his yfz grew on him...give yourself some time to adapt, just ride it alot..I think the 450r will come around to ya after some serious seat time. Its just so different right now.
  20. Since your gonna build another banshee anyways and your already ridin a four stroke..go for it.. Just try and find one thats got equivalent mods on it. I honestly think you would like the power delivery of the yfz better, but I promise you will still lack the 'never-ending' scream/rev. Ive never owned a fourstroke but several of my buddies ride them and thats how ive rode the different 450's. Im proud to say that a buddy of mine who rode an ltr, USED to bash me about my banshee and now he has gotten rid of the ltr and is now the owner of a 421 cub. I couldnt resist saying 'finally decided to move to something that has some real power did ya? '
  21. Well, I have to agree on the yfz thing, they do have a 'hit' but still it seems like you push the throttle wide open..the motor revs there and STAYS....the banshee like seems to rev forever. kinda sucks u dont got the banshee anymore but,..the KEY part being your gonna build another! Good luck and let us know how it goes!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Ive been 97-100mph depending on wind.
  23. Gotcha! you thought i traded my banshee for it didnt ya!!?? lol Ive always read and heard about guys going to college and selling their banshee because they needed money or they traded it for something. Im proud to say Im still a banshee owner, I wanted a bike so I traded my pickup for it (my truck had a lot wrong with it, and ive got another pickup I built from scrap parts). Unfortunatly Im flat broke, I havnt been able to ride the banshee in about 3 and half weeks now..im having withdrawls. But either way the bike is an 03 zx636, the stator has went out on it and I was wondering if any of you guys had one? Shoot me an email if you got any parts laying around for it. Thanks guys! heres a vid of the bike
  24. Sorry, regular banshee cylinders.
