Ive got an 01 banshee and the piston skirt on the intake side of a 65mm pro lite broke off, I guess im lucky it didnt do more damage then it did. But any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeh, im with you guys..theres no way id trade my banshee for a 400ex, dude just ride that 400ex then go jump straight on your shee, and you will be amazed, and your shee more than likely has problems with the carbs if it doesnt start easily, but..you may like the 400ex better, idk...but i know id never do it.

Hey, im wondering just how much difference a -2 swingarm on a banshee will make? I LOVE to wheelie, and my carrier bearings have a little bit of play in them, so I was thinking about just buying a -2 round style carrier swingarm, Alot of people say it makes an ungodly difference, but I wonder if they are just exaggerating, idk. I dont have a problem turning or anything..I just wheelie ALL the time, lol Any opinions? Thanks guys!

Im wanting to put yfz450 calipers on my banshee, and id like to buy an 07 mastercylinder, didnt they change something on them in 07' ? Im going to use my stock banshee brake lines, If you have the calipers or mastercylinder pm me or w/e . Thanks.
-
Awesome, im thinking about doing this too, how do they feel in power and everything compared to when they are on the yfz, my frieind has an 07 yfz and his front brakes are awesome, do they feel the same when mounted on a banshee? Just wondering bc of the weight, front end geometry etc.. thanks.

Hmm, Id say that alot of it had to do with the rider...heres what ive raced, an 06' 450r with whitebros pipe, filter, 07' yfz 450 with yoshimura pipe, dyno jet kit...I raced the 450r once, and won by about a length and a half, on hard packed dirt, then I raced the yfz450 on hard packed dirt twice, and once in rough dirt with some grass, and I pulled on him immediatly almost everytime about a length..and by the end of the race I was about 3 lengths in front...( I couldnt believe it lol..after riding the yfz I was begining to wonder if was going to beat it or not ) I started in 1st gear every time except for on the grass I tried 2nd..and sure enough pulled a wheelie, and when it come back down I still pulled about 3 lengths by the time I revved out. My shee has a cool head, 22cc domes, 66mm prolites, no porting, or timing changes stock reeds and cages, the TORS has been cut, pro flow adapter with foam filter, 13/41 gearing, cpi inframes, and I have 19-10-9 mxr4 rear tires..and when topped out the yfz is MAYBE 1-2 mph faster than me. I will say that im amazed at how fast the 450s are..compared to like a 660r ...but when it comes to mods etc..IMO, I dont really think they are ever going to be able to hang lol
-
I would think you should beat him, My banshee has cpi inframes, stock air box ( pro flow adapter with lid on), 66mm prolites, cool head with 22cc domes, no porting, stock reeds, and the carbs arnt right...it cuts out when trying to top it out sometimes..and tends to bog bad if you dont rev it out pretty far before shifting..and my clutch plates are pretty much smoked, I have 19in mxr4 rear tires with 13/41 gearing,..and my friend has an 07 yfz450 with a yoshimura pipe, and dyno jet kit on it....and when dragging on dirt/grass ....both getting pretty good traction, I can always pull atleast 2-3 lengths on him, and if im not mistaken he has 15/38 gearing with 20in rear tires. Race him again with the new mods and let us know what happens! haha

Yeh, they added a brake light sensor down by the foot pedal, changed taillights, cdi box connectors are different on the newer ones..they changed quite a few lil things..but none of them really matter. I dont think that they changed ne thing on the exhaust..but im not sure.

psycho barbie drag bike for sale
banshee_boy09 replied to hondasrslow's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
WOW, thats a nice bike! -
I think your right, im pretty sure that the stock head is 22cc, I went through this when I got my cool head. Later

Yeh, I agree its pretty much pointless, I think that almost any of these oils like amsoil or klotz are good oils, I have used Klotz Benol 32:1 and Royal Purple 32:1...I ride fairly hard, and Ive never had any problems, But like someone else said, I think it comes down to how well your bike is maintained.....one thing you could do as 'preventive maintenence' is to just keep your air filter clean..thats a BIG thing. But Ive never ran any Amsoil or anything else..so Idk but im sure they are just as good as Klotz or any other two stroke oil.
-
Doesnt the gas gas 300 two stroke atv have reverse....I have a dirtwheels magazine laying around, it was pix of it at a sand sport show or something like that..they said you pull the clutch in and hold a red buttom down for like 1-2 seconds and the moter stalls, and then fires backwards or something like that.
