  1. I can vouch for the crank,i wasnt even looking to get rid of it but moe needed one.Center bearing runout is close to zero as well as outer bearings, crank is within 1/2 thou true and came out of an 05 .I kept it for a drop in emergency crank for one of my drag set-ups.Moe has been a stand up guy payed me when he said he would and was a great guy on phone,no worries here ,those cylinders look very nice also attention to detail is there for sure
  2. Dont split them yet worse case you have to,If your tranny gears were shot it would make noise just pushing it around neverthe less starting it,my guess is your clutch dried out from no fluid and thats why you have the lunge, take your fibers out, inspect them,if they look good give them a good soak in ATF and put her back together,it could be a clutch issue
  3. i have tried squared off top side of the port,I prefer a trapeziod style now gotta get the kids ready for school ill get back later
  4. i know a reg cub would jet much higher like 178-185 dep on elevation but im not sure how a super cub pulls fuel
  5. A 421 cub on gas with 35s is damn close at 165 mains,48-50 pilot, cel 4th clip.If your plugs are reading diffrent i would look into a possible air leak which is a half hour test if you have the equipment,or ohm out your plug caps for proper resistance.Another thing when tuning carbs is bowl height, its the single most important thing to do to set the stage for proper jetting,35s are 16mm.Also being that far off on compression side to side worries me
  6. start out 42-45 pilot,155 main, cel 4th clip. Those carbs like a lean pilot. If the fins are broken i would suspect the air will be turbulant coming in so it might affect it or im overthinking it!
  7. I have had cooling issues with cubs that are coating in drag situations, while i have never overheated it takes twice as long to cool the cylinders down inbetween runs
  8. Like said before try the 270s and go one size at a time,i driil jets all the time, just dont drill the sure runners
  9. 4th is able to be backloaded also on a 1-4
  10. how does keyser come into it
  11. with just the snorkel removed 240 mains, stock pilot 1turn out on the screw, stock needle 4th clip
  12. I have never met anyone like joe ,he destroys everything,so for him to have this trans in his bike for over a year sais something. His tranny is a ndown 1-4 5th 6th clutch. It was originally sold as an extreme but been changed a lil towards a reg dunable. My bike has the reg dunable from wcr in it for its 3rd season of asphault abuse and felt fine when i put it away
  13. 66mm would be your last bore with a 4mil long rod,you want the long rod set,it creates less drag and sideload on the piston. So porting those jugs might be a waste if your looking at long term use.You want an all around motor go 4mil longrod, cut an chambered stock head from mull engineering for 4mil(stealth),v-force 3s,33mm pwks(good all around carb),FAST clutch,t-5s or r2s
  14. As stated i know if i repaired them your talking tig time, chucking in the bridgport and milling them down ,your talking labor intensive an if you heat to much they pull, also as stated ive seen epoxy hold together worse shit than that
  15. 190-195 main,45-50 pilot,eek needle 4th clip,
  16. star with 195 main 45 pilot,eek needle 4th clip
  17. i have personally ran up to 450 mains in stock carbs,I would personally pressure test it so your not chasing your tail,Every motor is diffrent dont forget that. What does an aggressive port job consist of.Call whoever did your motor and find out durations of exhaust and transfers
  18. i had a set for my bike once apon a time,I had to get a custom throttle cable made from motion pro to give me full throttle on the bansh thumb. They jetted damn close to the stock carbs,I ran 340 mains,30 pilots in a stock stroke ported bike 145 psi on the kick
  19. on pavement bike in sig i was 3.86 sec faster in the quarter pedalling it incase his boy wanted some
  20. vm set or flat slides
  21. they dont make a 45 pilot for stock carbs as far as i know so its prob a 25,with modified lid no snorkel you should be in the 260 main range,27.5 pilots
  22. Its damn near impossible to polish off a vin.In NY they never check motor tags just frame vin.I do know for a fact if they wanna check it they have a special die to put on the metal to make the numbers stand out.If there is any question we usually grind them ,tig weld, mill them ,stamp them
  23. just uncclip it from perch its a N/O (normally open switch)
  24. have had little luck with them carbs
  25. trx 250ex with the sport clutch, you can port em cam em ,exhaust and use the clutch if you want but dont have to at all great starter bike
