  1. yea done that before Slides are in correct
  2. Tors has been removed for over a year no matter how I adjust the screw it makes no difference. I have adjusted the left slide from one end of the spectrum to the other where you adjust the sync and it makes not difference. .... What is this thing you are talking about by the steering stem?????
  3. Sprayed it all down with starting fluid no leaks..... I had the motor out to pait the frame and the top end was off but other than that thats it.....

  5. Correction Right Side runs fine left side wont idle other than a pop here and there
  6. It starts fine and runs good all the way through the gears but some thing is bothering me. When it sits at idle it only runs on the left side normal. The right side just kinda fires once in a while... as soon as i give it a little gas it starts to fire. Here is what I have done so far. Cleaned the carbs twice....including taking out the pilot and cleaning it up ... Switched plug wires... no change..... .checked pickup gap looks good.... Compression is 130 per hole .... I just switched to cpi should i change my pilot????? I just dont know where else to look . Any IDEAS?????????? Zach :beer:
  7. As far as I knew coolant didnt travel that low but I have been wrong before I just keep seeing it build up right by the base gasket!!
  8. So after putting my motor back together and running it for a while I get white smoke out of my left side. I took the head off put in a new gasket and used a light coat of RTV to seal it. Now I'm still getting some white smoke and my base gasket is wet on that side. Can coolant leak into the cylinder via the base gasket? Any help is appreciated. Zach

You can ride the same areas,,,, you must have spark arrestors both the quad and the jeep so open headers is a no no you need to have an ORV sticker and a state park sticker or you can get a day pass when you get there for $6 ... you must wear a helmet but everything else is optional. And you dont "need" paddles but its more fun with them

  12. I think Alba makes a kit you can install inside the silencer... I also know that Cobra makes sparkies up to 3 inches in diameter. I believe the CPI silencers measure 2.5 Cobra has 2.5 2 5/8 2 3/4 and 3 just be prepared to spend 60+ each

Alright well did some looking today and realized that when I got the stuff the silencers were apart from the tubes and I thought I was putting them on the correct side because the muffler can only bolt up on one side but turns out when I put the silencers on the tubes I switched em lol oh well shit happens! I heard about cpi's having shitty fitment but damn lol. Its all good now. Thanks for your help! Zach :wallbash: :wallbash:

  16. Yea Im sure they are no the right sides maybe I just gotta mess with them some more but they keep wanting to hit the frame.
  17. Alright guys- So I went to mount up my CPI's yesterday and the expansion chambers mount up just fine but the stinger tubes dont wannt go in right at all. My question is do you run a hanger on the back as well or can you manipulate them enough to get them to bolt in up by where the grab bar bolts on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Zach :beer:

  19. As said before.... Do not Bore those cylinders out more than you need to in order to get where your compressions needs to be. You should check your compression before anything else. anthing right around 100 or less means you should get it bored out but only go as much as you need to. If you just bore it out as big as you can and you lose a top end you are screwed. Boring it will not get you the power gains you are looking for. You need to do pipes first then supporitng mods. Even if you bored the cylinders to .1 a piped bike with stock bore cylinders would kill you guarenteed. I would hate to see you bore those cylnders and then have to buy new ones when you lose a top end if you bore it just a .20 or as little as you need to then you can bore it multiple times for new top ends when needed. Sorry for the long winded response but just trying to make sure you realize that boring will not get a noticeable power gain. Others will chime in -Zach

Go with 8 paddle haulers like the others said im running an aggressive dune port stock swinger and cpi's and when i launch in second I pull harder off the line than most the 4 strokes I race at silver. IMO 10 paddles will kill your top end. Go with Toomey's or FMF Fatties they are very similar in power delivery no matter what anyone says about FMF not being as good. Lookin forward to seeing u at silver next in the spring!
  21. I was there almost once a week last summer and was never checked for Db's I also never saw anyone else get checked, but you MUST have spark arrestors or they will not let you on the dunes
