  1. guys beware I just got a carb off this guy and it's got a hole ground into the side of the bowl and the top of the slide was broken. I pm'd him to see if he'll make it right but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.
  2. I'll paypal you tonight or tomorrow for the carb is thats cool? also do you have the throttle carble for it???
  3. Do you have paypal? if not where are you in NJ?
  4. Me and friend both had LT250R's before we got banshees. I do miss mine, but I don't miss it breaking all the time. the Banshee has been 10 times more reliable. mine had a PSI pipe with a play port, his had the same and then some. they both could run neck and neck with a stock banshee with pipes, but the second a banshee got any kinda of real work done it was gone. If this honda 250R proved to be a fun reliable bike I may pick one up. Right now my LT would've whooped the hondas ass.
  5. FYI that's not an 89, 89's had inverted forks. I had one and that bike looks nothing like it.
  6. looks like I'm ordering a ESR310 kit. He's not looking for the most power, he just wants to beat his buddies piped banshee and be reliable.
  7. yeah, thats it. I'm gonna try and talk him into the ESR310 kit. thanks! Bill
  8. how do I tell?? the expansion chamber does unbolt in the center.
  9. well, I'm looking into the ESR 310 kit now, didn't know they we're that cheap. might to do a woods port or an all around port with the stock carb and LRD pipe. do know how many different pipes LRD made?? I'm trying to figure out what kind of pipe it is, low end, mid range, top end, that kinda thing. thanks Bill
  10. well, after talking to him tonight, I may send the jug out this week for porting. He wants to have it for a trip he's taking in 3 weeks, so I guess we'll see. I'll try bumping the compression and timing plate too. he's got his eye on making it beat our other buddies banshee which has a timing plate, T5's, and an air box. I don't know if it's gonna happen, but It'll be fun trying!
  11. My buddy just picked up a super clean 86 250r off an older guy. the bike looks to be in great shape, but I did a compression test today and it tested 105psi. the previous owner says the bike has only been rebuild once and I believe him. anyway I'm rebuilding it for my buddy and I wanted to add some other things to bring it to life a little more, I was not impressed with it's power. this is gonna be a woods/play bike. It's already got an LRD pipe. So what else should I do to it. I'm not signing on a 250r forum because I don't own it and I plan on doing this once. trying to stay away from porting. So what else should I do to it? can I get it to run with a bolt on banshee without porting or a big bore??
  12. Didn't think of that thanks!
  13. I already did that. now it looks like the rubber is tearing and theirs a crack in the right side pipe mount too.
  14. like the tittle says, are you guys using different pipe mounts? My pipes are hitting the head when I start to rev my bike. thanks Bill
  15. I WILL NOT PART IT OUT!
  16. 96 banshee 4 mill stroker with long rod kit Herrs jugs racing dune port cyls bored 1mm boss racing intakes small bore cpi inframe drag pipes twin 35mm pwk carbs with pod filters and outter wears F.A.S.T. racing clutch shaved shifter star +4 swing arm +2 ASR arms frame is powder coated black chrome aftermarket timing plate stock head cut for the stroker with about 170psi MUST RUN RACE GAS! I have a NOSS head for it but I never bought domes. I'm sure theirs much more i just forget. this bike makes about 80-85hp all out! it was built about a year ago and I've rode it maybe 5 times. $3000 firm theirs is no title, but you can apply for one from the state. 215-285-7312 Bill please no low balling. I do not have to sell this. My truck blew a head gaskets and if this thing sells I'm just gonna buy a new motor, if not I'll just do a head.
  17. dont TM's come on most RM's. I think their a pretty bad ass carb and not to bad to tune, theirs just expensive to buy.
  18. My buddy builds race car engine for a living. He build his banshee back when I was in highschool and that shit is still on the same top end to this day. that was almost 8 years ago! He raced MX with that thing and still trail rides with it all the time. I can't believe it. I rebuild mine if it blows or about every 50 hours I'll throw pistons and rings in it. next time I think next time I'll give him my motor to build.
  19. a small block ford powered woodchiper. smoked my clutch, I'll never do it again.
  20. check the numbers on the rods and pistons
  21. race gas depends on your comp. The timing plate is a good idea, I'll give you more bottom end power. your bike will be a lot faster, but you'll have to rejet. Kevin will give you jet specs that will get you in the ballpark if not right on. Make sure you sync the carbs.
