  1. get a case saver and keep an eye on the chain and sprocket wear i replace my chain probably twice a year just to be safe.... and i have had one break on my 450. but that sound is perfectly normal. :thumbsup:
  2. damn that sucks man but it couldve been worse... i was draggin with a guy on some whooped out flats when he nose dived and endo'd in 5th breaking his neck and back in 3 places now he wont ever be able to ride again... good to hear your alright. :thumbsup:

  4. hey man i have the front calipers but i took them apart to powdercoat then ended up not using them. i still have all the parts for them too. let me know if you want them ill ship them asap. came off my 04. im sorry to hear about that man i hope you get that fucker...

  7. i didnt mean to include the pancake bearing in as part of the clutch i shouldve worded it differently. well i will probably get the modded star then since it is less $$$. Bansh-eman let me know what you want for them im building a shee for the wife that could use my unmolested stock jugs. what is jeff doing with them? you guys are saving me alot of money telling me what i dont need.... i like it :thumbsup:
  8. ive always run race fuel with my 18cc domes and +4 timing so thats no big deal. im going to get my jugs ported by kevin herr most likely an aggressive dune port i would sacrifice some top end for bottom end in a heart beat. the lightened flywheel is out the door... im gonna see if this clutch burns up i just bought it from cascade a few months back and its in great shape ill just get stiffer springs. im also getting all the easy shift shit like the pancake bearing modded shift star and that shift pro thingy... thanks a lot fellas.
  9. im only 180 so would it affect me much? i know if your off the pipe they like to stall, but would it do that with just -6 oz.? it doesnt sound like the benfits are worth the effort.
  10. i have the PD cool head already... i bought it before i stumbled on bhq. so i think ill go with the billet basket route instead of the lockup. thanks for the info guys keep it coming.
  11. what is wrong with the lightened flywheel?? doesnt it give you better excelleration losing some unsprung weight?
  12. i had t5 on before and i loved them but i am looking for something with a broader powerband. the t5s seemed to hit in the mid range alittle further then i would like. but im keeping my options open. thanks for the reply.
  13. the locking tab is fine on the corner if thats were it ends up i just bent mine so it was pushing against it good on either side of the nut corner. as for the chip in the hub cant help you with that.
  14. -4millstroker with 5mill long rods possibly with the tz bearing??? -HJR aggressive dune port -PD cool head with 18cc cut domes -vf3 reeds -PD timing plate -33 pwk carbs/pods/boss manifold -paul turner high revs -lightended flywheel i want a broad powerband. something with a good low mid hit but still have plenty of top end power. what do you guys think? what would you change or do different? should i get a lockup or would a billet basket and FAST clutch be plenty? thanks for the help guys.
  15. i bought my ratio rite with a cap.... i think the RR is easier to read but the maxima one does have a better lid. either way they are a must have product. :thumbsup:

  19. i have rode a bike with +2+1 in the trails and i felt that it was way to wide for fast riding. i got hung up a lot and bent the shit outta my rims. i took my shee out with stock suspension in the trails and liked the way it rode alot better. didnt you say you wanted to get the height back for the rocks in another post? if so you should just use your 450 shocks on the stock arms and that will get you another inch higher with much better than stock shocks. i think that would work pretty good. besides if you bend your stockers they are a dime a dozen nowdays...
  20. it is a drag setup. mike told me if i was going to build a big bore stroker i would be better off with the cub. and it is a much cheaper setup then the twister cylinders so i believe him on the fact that he wasnt trying to sell me the more expensive of the two. i do however love the way those cylinders look. :biggrin:

  22. i have some stock location mr16's on my yfz450 that im not using anymore. so i am wondering if anyone knows if they sell the bottom brackets for the stock location banshee lights??? i looked and couldnt find anything i even tried to contact them but i havent been able to reach them to find out directly.
  23. i talked to mike from cascade about those cylinders and he told me that if set up right they will run with the cubs, but the cub is a better choice. if i were you i would go with a 4mill long rod on some ported cylinders that would be a solid motor with plenty of power. :thumbsup: p.s. of course you will need pipes, reeds etc.. to compliment the ported stroker motor.
  24. throw that fucker on ebay i got 211 for mine used w/19cc domes. unless someone takes it here i think you will get more for it on ebay. :shrug:
  25. well did anyone get pics??? that sucks that there wasnt much banshee shit though. how can you have sand show without a bunch of banshee stuff?
