  1. Id like to hear more on porting effecting compression. My bike was ported. Heavy dune port. The guy milled the head to make up for loss of compression. Brought it back to 125. Does that mean my actual compression will be higher when running? If so could you explain. Thanks.
  2. This thread needs to be deleted. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
  3. Something most people dont know about mixing oil. Adding more oil is the same as changing jets. It leans the mixture a bit. 25to 1 is too much oil in my opinion. 32 to 1 is safe. 40 to 1 or 3 ozs per gallon is what I run. When its hot out I bump it to 32to1. 40to1 richens the mixture. Choose a ratio and then jet to it. Adding more oil 25to1 may need the next size bigger jet to keep it from running lean.
  4. Nice Vid. That wasnt low end. You were revin it up. That 2 into 1 sounds unique. For the way you ride you need some shearers too. You spent 0 time under 5K RPMs
  5. Who rides a banshee at low end. Thats what 4 strokes are for. Get some Shearers and be done with it. Learn to ride in the higher rpm range. You will be glad you did. Let tha banshee scream.
  6. Every stock new banshee I have tested was 125. Cold or warm. Probably good idea to warm it up. Take out both plugs when testing to make it easier to kick. No brainer.
  7. Going east on 8 get off on Mollison in El Cajon. Turn Right. Turn right into first Gas Station. It use to be 5.00 a gallon but went up to 6.00. Still cheaper than the blue can stuff. Its on the way to Glamis too. Always keep race gas containers sealed tightly and out of the sun. The additives that make fuel high octane evaporate very quickly.
  8. My pipes are the old style Shearers with all the section welds. My RPM's are confirmed on the dyno when I got it tuned. The timing I think is a timing plate mod but dont know for sure how many degrees. I think 4 or 5 but really dont know. I was told by my builder that the bike should be good for 3 seasons and would just need to be honed and ringed and would be good to go another 3. I dont think he knew at the time he told me that , that I ride more in 1 season than most do in three. 15 to 20 gallons a weekend. Spark plugs looked normal with the lower cylinder a little wet. Cocoa brown on the porcelain as far as I can see without cutting them open.
  9. My compression dropped from 125-125 to 110-95. I was told to run 50-50. I read on here that it's not needed so I went to staight 91 My bike takes a shit and I'm wondering if it could be the gas. What if it is timed high enough to need 50-50? Could that be why my builder Suggested the race gas mix? It ran fine for last season and part of this season. Maybe just time for rings??????
  10. Hi everyone. I lost some compression at Galmis this last weekend. I ran straight 91 instead of 50/50. My kicking compresssion was 125Lbs. The bike has a Dune port and and revs to 11-12K. My question is, does having a motor that revs that high change the compression at high RPMs. I read on here that you only need 91 up to 150lbs kicking. Glamis was a blast. Awesome fireworks as far as the eye can see. I was camped at Osborn and could see the fireworks down the washes and by the store and al the way down ghecko.
