  1. i'm interested in the overide. Location?
  2. 30 minutes south of Temecula in Escondido. I have Family in the Temecula area so can meat 1/2 way or something.
  3. Best offer. Local pic up prefeered but will ship at your expense. Excellent condition
  4. Would you be interested in selling just the carb? If so, pics and price. Thanks.
  5. Pm me close up pics of paddles and your location. Thanks.
  6. I bought the rear rotor from him. Justin is a fast shipper and super cool. If you want a Banshee, This one is like new. The rotor looks like it had very low hours on it. Thanks Justin. edit: If you dont sell it and want to ride it, you can come out with us. My bike is getting ported and will be done next week. So maybe going out next weekend or the following with my builder to test and tune and ride.
  7. If its just a 4mill the rods will be stock length. If its a longrod 4 mill. The rods will be longer than stock. Long rods are better as I'm sure you know but they require a special piston that has the wrist pin higher in the piston to make up for it.
  8. I need a stock rear brake disc. I live in escondido but have a freind that lives near you. PM me a price if you saved it and its straight. thanks.
  9. Fully ported cylinders should lower your compression. Milling the head will bring it back up. Check the compression when its all done. Timing efects octane. If you bump the timing you will need to bump the octane. I have a motor similar to yours and read on here if your 150 or less on compression you can run pump gas. I lost my motor trying to be cheap. Sometime people trying to help that dont know shit can hurt you. If you turn your timing down so you can run cheap gas then you will be leaving a lot of HP at the pump. The gas isnt what makes it fast. High octane actually burns slower, igniting the mixture later, (+4 or mor timing) needs a slower burning fuel. (higher octane). Why it makes more power is the air and fuel mixture are also part of your timing. Having a lower octane fuel witch ignites quicker on top of advanced timing could cause the shit to ignite all the way before the piston reaches TDC top dead center. Idealy you want the bang to happen at TDC and the full force pushing the piston down. If it happens before the piston gets to the top, the bang will try to stop the piston and its called detonation. Very bad for motor. I would say run at least 100 octane and +4 on the timing. 2.5 gallons of 91 and 2.5 gallons of 110= 101. This will keep you safe. Talk to the guy doing the porting for timing and octane FIRST also. Example. A new GT mustang with a chip can give you a tune for either 87 octane or 91 octane. The timing is what the chip changes. The chip doesnt change your compression. So you guys telling people they can run pump gas on 150 or less compression are very wrong. You need to know everything about the setup before giving advice. You probably shouldnt give advice. You should advise them to get advise from a motor builder or someone who knows. Also you cant really hear mild detonation in a 2 stroke so play it safe. A good dyno tune is highly reccommended. Its pricey but so is rebuilding your motor several times till you get it sorted out.
  10. Its seem that all the fast guys are running Shearers. Toomeys they say are ok for a stock port T6. Mild port T5 may hang. Anything more like dune drag to full drag, the toomeys slow you down. If your bike is fast with them it will scream with Shearers.
  11. I took my bike to Alba in Poway to get Dyno tuned. They are the dumbest, most dishonest, unproffessional, retarded unskilled people I have ever done business with in any trade. I could rant for hours but I will just use one example of their ignorance. When they did the first dyno pull on my bike it was running lean and they sung it to 11000 RPM's. They did it again and then again. They have the dyno in a little room so you cant watch. I didnt know till the retard came out with the printouts. Good thing my motor is tough or some people would have got hurt that day. I will never go there, call there, even if they were the last place on the planet for parts or service. Stay clear people.
  12. Yeah they had a good reason for closing Comp. I camp at Osborn. Its less than 1 minute away. They put those big lights out there facing the hill. We like it cuz we get the hill to ourselves. Its liitered with broken glass tho. I go to it and ride even when its closed and never got rousted. But comp sucks anyways. All the action is at olds. You cubs are sucking the gas. My bike usually will run all day and part of the night on 15 gallons for 2 days. Hill racing sucks it down quick. If your out of shape and it your first ride on the bike in a while, you will run out of gas before your bike does.
  13. Launch in 2nd My six swinger dunes just fine Whatever paddle you get, play with different seat positions when launching. Sliding your butt back or forward just a few inches can make a big difference. If your big you will probaly need to sit all the way up to start but you will want the exta traction at the top of the hill or end of the strip. When I launch, i sit in the middle. Right as the bike starts too roll out i start sliding back on the seat and get a perfect power wheelie. If I sit too far back it just comes up too far and sometimes I have to shut it down. Not good. I have 8 paddles but not the ponies you have and I'm a lightweight. My motor is also a high rever. I would get the right paddles and swinger for the power. Winning the race should be 1rst on the list Duning should be 2nd. Put that power to the ground and go stomp on us less powered guys and most all the 4 strokes. Good luck
  14. Anyone?
  15. What is the bore and stroke of a stock Banshee? Dumb q I know but I cant remember
  16. Your nuts. How does that new front suspension handle over whoops and rough terrain?
  17. I just read thru the entire thread. Felt like hours. Nice find. I am curious as to the geometry of the new setup. I'm not a front end geometry wiz but know its important. One test I have heard to check bump steer, tho kinda backyard, is to jump up and down on the front bumper and see if you notice toe in change. On a car you watch to see if the steering wheel moves. But if someone has the alignment tool to check camber and caster that would clinch the deal. Great read and I may try this. How does it feel over severe whoops guys?
  18. My builder did mine. They havent broke yet. I think he opened up above the intake ports of the cylinder to the same size as the pistons ports. I think but not sure.
  19. I have a freind that said the carb slides have to go in a certain carb. L carb slide goes in left carb. R in R. They will go in backwards and run like crud. Something to check. Also I had the exact same thing happen to my bike and it was compreesion. Check it again cold and it should be 125 if stock. Both plgs fire at the same time so try swaping wires then plugs. If all fails take it to duncan and say WTF.
  20. But dont grab the spark plug wires. You might get the shock of your life.
  21. I'm no expert but I've heard the experts say the spacer is not the best way. Your port timing will be effected. The cylinder shoud be ported for the 4 mill. Buy a cub or a twister mini set up for the 4 mill. That would be the best way. Wait till someone who knows the right way to set yours up to reply.
  22. When doing a resistance test you need to check the resistance in the leads first. Set the meter to 200 like you did then touch the prongs together. It sometimes helps to straighten the lead wires out first. If you get a reading, you need to subtract that from your test readings. Example: Your leads show they are making 2.5 ohms of resistance. Subtact that from your test on the charging coil resistance and you actual reading is 19.2. That will put you into the proper range. Your lighting coil is way out and needs to be addressed. Pick up coil looks good. As for the broken and welded and shaved part, replace it and use the proper tools to set the gap. Dont jimmy rig your bike. Hope this helps.
  23. What type of 2into 1. If it's the Trinity I would stay away. They are not good for top end. If its the aluminum tubular like mine they work good. If your ported minimum dune port you need 35. If your cylinders are stock the 36 will be too big unless your have a drag port..
